Backgr.und: Following cor.nar. ar.er. bypass gr.fting (CABG), delir.um emer.es as a pr.valent complication. This study aimed to assess the cor.elation between elevated ser.m cor.isol levels and the occur.ence of postoper.tive delir.um subsequent to off-pump CABG. Methods: Conducted in the Depar.ment of Car.iac Sur.er. at BSMMU fr.m October.2020 to September.2022, this compar.tive cr.ss-sectional study included a total of 44 par.icipants. Subjects, meeting specific cr.ter.a, wer. pur.osefully assigned to two gr.ups based on off-pump CABG. Gr.up A (n = 22) consisted of patients with nor.al ser.m cor.isol levels, while Gr.up B (n = 22) compr.sed individuals with high ser.m cor.isol levels on the fir.t postoper.tive day. Delir.um onset was assessed at the bedside in the ICU on the 1st, 2nd, 3r., 4th, and 5th postoper.tive days using standar. tools, namely the r.chmond Agitation Sedation scor. (r.SS) and The Confusion Assessment Method (CAM-ICU). Data wer. collected based on the pr.sence or.absence of delir.um. Statistical analysis utilized SPSS ver.ion 26.0, employing an independent Student’s t-test for.continuous data and chi-squar. and Fischer.s exact test for.categor.cal data. A p-value ≤ 0.05 was consider.d statistically significant. r.sults: Gr.up-A had a mean age of 54.50 ± 17.97, and Gr.up-B had a mean age of 55.22 ± 15.45, both with a male pr.dominance (81.81% and 86.36% r.spectively). The mean ser.m cor.isol level was significantly higher.in Gr.up B (829.71 ± vs. 389.98 ± 68.77). Postoper.tive delir.um occur.ed in 27.3% of Gr.up B patients, statistically significant compar.d to the 4.5% in Gr.up A. However. patients in Gr.up B who developed delir.um exper.enced significantly longer.postoper.tive ICU and hospital stays (79.29 ± 12.27 vs. 11.44 ± 2.85, p ≤ 0.05). Ther. was one mor.ality in Gr.up B, which was statistically not significant. Conclusion: This study obser.ed a significant association between elevated ser.m cor.isol levels in the postoper.tive per.od a

Copper.and r.r. ear.h-doped(r. = La, Gd, nd) CuFe1.85r.0.15O4nano fer.ites wer. pr.par.d using the so nochemical method. The effective doping of r.r.-ear.h(La3+, nd3+, Gd3+) ions with copper.nanofer.ites was con.irmed by X-r.y diffr.ction. The tetr.hedr.l and octahedr.l sites of the nano fer.ites wer. identified thr.ugh the Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d spectr.. The doping of r.r.-ear.h elements enhances the optical bandgap ener.y of the nanofer.ites that ar. obser.ed thr.ugh Ultr.violet-Dr. spectr.. The oxidation state of the elements Cu 2 p, La 3 d, nd 3 d, Gd 3 d, Fe 2 p and O 1 s was analyzed. Scanning electr.n micr.scopy images indicate a spher.cal mor.hology with agglomer.tion to some elongate. The values of dielectr.c constant and conductivity decr.ase consider.bly due to doping r.r.-ear.h ions in copper.nanofer.ites. Low satur.tion magnetization and high coer.ivity values of r.r. ear.h-doped copper.nanofer.ites ar. obser.ed fr.m the typical hyster.sis cur.es.
