This paper presents an approach for oscillation damping with an integrated multi-stage linear quadratic regulator(MSLQR)FACTS controller combining power oscillation damping(POD)*** particle swarm optimization(PSO)technique has been used for precise tuning initial control parameters of power system stabilizers(PSS)and FACTS devices(such as STATCOM and UPFC)which results in improved controller *** is observed that the proposed control structure damps the oscillations adequately and is modular in design *** sample power system comprising six areas is considered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed *** states inter-relation which is shown with eigenvalues reflects better regulation with the proposed *** step response also validates the controller performance.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)and Unmanned Ground Vehicles(UGVs)have been used in research and development community due to their strong potential in high-risk *** of the most important civilian implementations of UAV/UGV cooperative path planning is delivering medical or emergency supplies during disasters such as wildfires,the focus of this ***,wildfires themselves pose risk to the UAVs/UGVs and their paths should be planned to avert the risk as well as complete the *** this paper,wildfire growth is simulated using a coupled Partial Differential Equation(PDE)model,widely used in literature for modeling wildfires,in a grid environment with added process and measurement *** principles of Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD),and with an appropriate choice of decomposition modes,a low-dimensional equivalent fire growth model is obtained for the deployment of the space-time Kalman Filtering(KF)paradigm for estimation of wildfires using simulated *** KF paradigm is then used to estimate and predict the propagation of wildfire based on local data obtained from a camera mounted on the *** information is then used to obtain a safe path for the UGV that needs to travel from an initial location to the final position while the UAV’s path is planned to gather information on *** planning of both UAV and UGV is carried out using a PDE based method that allows incorporation of threats due to wildfire and other obstacles in the form of risk *** results from numerical simulation are presented to validate the proposed estimation and path planning methods.

In the present work,a compressible and lubricating space-holder material commonly known as "acrawax" was used to process Cu foams with various pore sizes and various *** foams were processed without using binders to avoid contamination of their metal *** lubricant space-holder material was found to facilitate more uniform flow and distribution of metal powder around the surface of the space *** addition,the use of acrawax as a space-holder material yielded considerably dense cell walls,which are an essential prerequisite for better material *** foams processed with a smaller-sized space holder were found to exhibit better electrical and mechanical properties than those processed with a coarser-sized space *** isotropic pore shape,uniform pore distribution throughout the metal matrix,and uniform cell wall thickness were found to enhance the properties pertaining to fine-pore foam *** processed foams exhibit properties similar to those of the foams processed through the lost-carbonate sintering process.

The rivers draining from the Himalayan range distribute enormous amount of fresh water to the people living in downstream *** metals flowed with river water can lead to serious impact on ecological system and human ***,the documentation on trace elements of Himalayan rivers is inadequately *** current study deals with the spatial and temporal variability of the major and trace elements of Ganga river water in epirhithron,metarhithron and hyporhithron zone belonging to Himalayan *** samples from nineteen monitoring locations were collected in pre-monsoon(May-June),monsoon(AugustSeptember)and post-monsoon(December)seasons and subjected to be assessed for 20 elements(Ag,Al,Ba,Cd,Ca,Cr,Cu,Fe,Ga,K,Mn,Mg,Na,Ni,Pb,Sr,Th,U,Zn,and Zr)using ICP-OES(Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer).Different water pollution indexes such as HPI(Heavy Metal Pollution Index),MI(Metal Index)and PI(Pollution Index)were used to describe current water quality status at each monitoring station under particular classified ecological *** studied stations in hyporhithron zone had the value of Metal Index(MI>1),indicating threshold of ***,the highest values of HPI in hyporhithron zone correspond to poor water quality *** with poor water quality were also found to be contaminated as per the Pollution Index(PI),exhibiting high concentrations for element(Fe).However,the epirhithron and metarhithron zone in Himalayan segment showed excellent water quality mainly contributed from natural *** Analysis(CA)and Principal Component Analysis(PCA)were applied to identify the main influential sources for Ganga river water *** Kriging interpolation method was also applied to prepare spatial distribution map of computed indexes(HPI,MI,and PI).With the help of index of local Moran’s I(LMI),identified spatial clusters and spatial outliers revealed the elevated concentration of most elements in hyporhithr

Friction stir processing(FSP)is an emerging solid-state technique for preparing surface composites using various *** and metallic particles are easily reinforced in a matrix by this *** composites made from an LM24 alloy reinforced with graphite and tin,with good wettability and material flow owing to the low melting point of tin,were fabricated by FSP at two rotational speeds of 1,400 and 1,000 *** its low hardness,the graphite/LM24 surface composite fabricated at a higher rotational speed of 1,400 rpm exhibited better wear ***,its frictional behavior was not significantly affected by the *** fabricated surface composites with graphite and tin reinforcement as well as graphite-only reinforcement exhibited contradicting behaviors under sliding wear *** post wear analysis indicated that abrasion,adhesion,layer formation,and delamination occurred on the composite surfaces.

Staphyloccus aureus （S. aureus） is a well known human pathogen known to causes a verity of infections in humans. In recent years S. aureus is reported to show drug resistant toward commonly known drugs. Therefore, this study was designed to study the pattern of antibiotic resistance in 50 clinical isolates ofS. aureus isolated at Dhanwantri Hospital and Research Centre, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. S. aureus cultures were isolated from different clinical samples, pus, throat swabs and urine on Blood agar and MacConkey agar and Chrom agar plats and characterized by an array of microscopic and biochemical tests. Antibiotic sensitivity test was performed by standard disc diffusion method （Kirby bayer＇s method） on Muller Hinton agar plates. During this study, among 50 S. aureus isolates 48 （96%） were found to be resistance toward Aztreonam and Doxicycline followed by Ciprofloxacin （n = 45, 90%）, Cefpodoxime and Ceftazidime （n = 44, 88%）, Cefuroxime （n = 40, 80%）, Pipracillin ＋ Tazobactum （n = 38, 76%）, Cefoparazone （n = 36, 72%）, Amoxicillin ＋ Clavulanic acid and Ceftriaxone （n = 33, 66%）, Levofloxacin （n = 32, 64%）, Moxifloxacin （n = 31, 62%）, Ofloaxacin （n = 25, 50%）, Cloxacillin （n = 22, 44%）, Azithromycin （n = 21, 42%）, Clindamycin （n = 19, 38%）, Meropenem （n = 18, 36%）, Clarithromycin （n = 16, 32%）, Ampicillin ＋ sulbactam （n = 13, 26%）, Amikacin （n = 12, 24%）, Impipenem （n = 8, 16%）, Linezolid and Methicillin （n = 7, 14%） and Teicoplanin （n = 3, 6%）. In conclusion, the isolated S. aureus found to be resistant toward common antibiotics, however all isolates were found to be susceptible to Vancomycin.

BACKGROUND:Minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) impairs quality of life and predicts overt hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in cirrhotic *** of MHE requires cumbersome *** is effective in the treatment of *** study aimed to evaluate the use of critical flicker frequency (CFF) for the diagnosis of MHE in cirrhotic patients after ***:One hundred and ten patients were evaluated by psychometry (number connection tests A,B or figure connection tests A,B),P300 auditory event related potential (P300ERP),venous ammonia,and CFF for *** was diagnosed by abnormal psychometry (>2SD age matched controls) and *** patients were treated with lactulose for one *** was defined by normalization (<2SD of matched controls) of both psychometry and ***:Of the 110 patients [Child Turcott Pugh score A:B:C 39:42:29,(age 41.6±11.6 years,M:F 82:28)],75 (68%) had abnormal results of psychometric tests,and 74 (67%) had prolonged *** (20%) patients with abnormal results of psychometric tests had normal *** sixty (54.5%) patients were diagnosed as having *** treatment for one month,34 (57%) recovered while 26 (43%) continued to have abnormal resents of psychometric or P300ERP *** was <39 Hz in 72 (65.4%) patients before treatment and in 20 (33.3%) after *** sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value,and diagnostic accuracy for the assessment of recovery of MHE were 65%,91%,85%,77% and 80%,***:CFF is a simple,relatively reliable,and accurate test without any dependence on age or literacy in the diagnosis and assessment of recovery of patients with MHE.

The next step in mobile communication technology,known as 5G,is set to go live in a number of countries in the near *** wireless applica-tions have high data rates and mobility requirements,which have posed a chal-lenge to mobile communication technology researchers and designers.5G systems could beneﬁt from the Universal Filtered Multicarrier(UFMC).UFMC is an alternate waveform to orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM),inﬁltering process is performed for a sub-band of subcarriers rather than the entire band of subcarriers Inter Carrier Interference(ICI)between neighbouring users is reduced via the sub-bandﬁltering process,which reduces out-of-band ***,the UFMC system has a high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio(PAPR),which limits its *** optimization based Selective mapping(SLM)is used in this paper to optimise the *** on the cognitive behaviour of crows,the research study suggests an innovative metaheuristic opti-mization known as Crow Search Algorithm(CSA)for SLM ***-pared to the standard UFMC,SLM-UFMC system,and SLM-UFMC with conventional metaheuristic optimization techniques,the suggested technique sig-niﬁcantly reduces *** the UFMC system,the suggested approach has a very low Bit Error Rate(BER).

Global concern for depleting fossil fuel reserves have been compelling for evolving power generation options using renewable energy sources. The solar energy happens to be a potential source for running the power plants among renewable energy sources. Integrated Solar Combined Cycle(ISCC) power plants have gained popularity among the thermal power plants. Traditional ISCC power plants use Direct Steam Generation(DSG) approach. However, with the DSG method, the ISCC plant’s overall thermal efficiency does not increase significantly due to variations in the availability of solar energy. Thermal Energy Storage(TES) systems when integrated into the solar cycle can address such issues related to energy efficiency, process flexibility, reducing intermittency during non-solar hours. This review work focuses and discusses the developments in various components of the ISCC system including its major cycles and related parameters. The main focus is on CSP technologies, Heat Transfer Fluid(HTF), and Phase Change Material(PCM) used for thermal energy storage. Further, study includes heat enhancement methods with HTF and latent heat storage system. This study will be beneficial to the power plant professionals intending to modify the solar-based Combined Cycle Power Plant(CCPP) and to retrofit the existing Natural Gas Combined Cycle(NGCC) plant with the advanced solar cycle.
