Antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of endophytic fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides isolated from endemic tree Cinnamomum malabatrum

In a survey of endophytic fungi associated with endemic plant Cinnamomum malabatrum leaves harbored a bioactive endophytic isolate CMS 3 was identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides through morphological and phylogenetic analysis based on *** ethyl acetate extract of fermentation broth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides CMS 3 displayed antimicrobial activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as the fungal pathogen,Candida *** ethyl acetate crude extract showed in vitro cytotoxicity against the HeLa,MCF-7 and MG63 cancer cell lines with the IC50 values of 94.2μg/ml,84.3μg/ml and 162μg/ml *** chromatography and Mass Spectrophotometry(GC-MS)analysis of crude extract confirmed that CMS 3 was a prolific producer of secondary metabolites,in which nearly 74%of the metabolites not listed in the NIST *** compounds were phenol 3,5-dimethoxy acetate(11.82%),4'-isopropylidene-bis-(2-cyclohexyl)phenol,N-Didehydrohexacarboxyl-2,4,5-trimethylpiperazine and 1,2,4-Triazolium *** metabolites may be responsible for its antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities.

Tablets are one of the most comm only used solid dosage forms taken by *** preparati on of high-quality tablets requires an understanding of the preparation process and elucidation of how the physical and mechanical properties change as a function of the preparation *** work aims to investigate the impact of microwave irradiation drying and conventional drying methods(including freeze,convective and vacuum drying)on the hardness,tensile strength and friability of tablets made from a multi-component formulation containing naproxen sodium,microcrystalline cellulose,and *** results show that tablets subjected to microwave drying had the secondhighest tensile strength and hardness of 1.296 MPa and 67 N,*** tablets subjected to vacuum drying had the lowest tensile strength and hardness of 1.21 MPa and 64 N,*** friability index values for the tablets derived from the microwave and freeze-drying methods werel%.Microwave drying was observed to be an efficient method to produce naproxen sodium-containing tablets with satisfactory mechanical *** findings confirm that the drying method plays an essential role in the improvement or degradation of the mechanical properties of tablets.

The properties of oral tablets are normally related to the properties of the powders they *** of oral tablets is important for the development of tablets with rapid and safe release of the active *** this study,a new formulation of naproxen sodium was prepared and dried using microwave drying (MWD) and the following conventional drying techniques:freeze-drying (FD),vacuum drying (VD),and convective drying (CD).The reference drug powder (RDP) and dry granules MWG,CDG,VDG,and FDG,which were dried using MWD,CD,VD,and FD,respectively were compressed to form tablets labeled RF-TAB,MW-TAB,CD-TAB,VD-TAB,and FD-TAB,*** dry granules and prepared tablets were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,scanning electron microscopy,and X-ray *** study aimed to explore the correlation between the textural characteristics of the tablets and their respective powders for different drying *** the morphologies of the dry particles were irregular,the prepared tablets were smooth and flat with few *** increased the amorphous nature of the granules but decreased their *** crystallinities of all tablets,except those prepared by VD,decreased after *** summary,the characteristics of the prepared tablets were acquired from their respective powders.

The underlying principle governing the natural phenomena of life is one of the critical issues receiving due importance in recent years. A key feature of the scale-free architecture is the vitality of the most connected nodes （hubs）. The major objective of this article was to analyze the protein-protein and metabolic interaction networks of Drosophila melanogaster by considering the architectural patterns and the consequence of removal of hubs on the topological parameter of the two interaction systems. Analysis showed that both interaction networks follow a scale-free model, establishing the fact that most real world networks, from varied situations, conform to the small world pattern. The average path length showed a two-fold and a three-fold increase （changing from 9.42 to 20.93 and from 5.29 to 17.75, respectively） for the protein-protein and metabolic interaction networks, respectively, due to the deletion of hubs. On the contrary, the arbitrary elimination of nodes did not show any remarkable disparity in the topological parameter of the protein-protein and metabolic interaction networks （average path length： 9.42±0.02 and 5.27±0.01, respectively）. This aberrant behavior for the two cases underscores the significance of the most linked nodes to the natural topology of the networks.

Standard genetic algorithms （SGAs） are investigated to optimise discrete-time proportional-integral-derivative （PID） con- troller parameters, by three tuning approaches, for a multivariable glass furnace process with loop interaction. Initially, standard genetic algorithms （SGAs） are used to identify control oriented models of the plant which are subsequently used for controller optimisa- tion. An individual tuning approach without loop interaction is considered first to categorise the genetic operators, cost functions and improve searching boundaries to attain the desired performance criteria. The second tuning approach considers controller parameters optimisation with loop interaction and individual cost functions. While, the third tuning approach utilises a modified cost function which includes the total effect of both controlled variables, glass temperature and excess oxygen. This modified cost function is shown to exhibit improved control robustness and disturbance rejection under loop interaction.

Multiple shoots were induced on the cut ends of the leaf of Hybanthus enneaspermus on MS medium fortified with different concentration of cytokinins (kI and BAP) and in combination of kI and BAP. To enhance the multiple shoots induction, different types of auxins were used. IAA induced a maximum of 52.3 shoots per explants in combination with kI + BAP. The regenerated shoots show two different morphological leaves. Shoots are 100% rooted on half-strength MS medium supplemented with 2.46 μM·l-1 IBA. Rooted plantlets were successfully transferred to garden after acclimatization and they appeared morphologically normal.
