An ***-yeast shuttle vector for the anchoring of heterologous protein to the yeast host’s cell wall was constructed using the backbone from pGAD424.A construct comprising the signal sequence from the yeast sucrose isomerase gene（SucSg）,a multiple cloning site sequence and a DNA fragment encoding 67 amino acids from the carboxyl-terminal of the yeast cell wall protein 2（CWP2） was constructed in *** construct was designed such that a gene sequence cloned into the MCS will be translated in-frame with the SucSg and *** construct was then inserted into the HindIII site on pGAD424,replacing the GAL4 fusion tag and the original MCS *** sequencing confirmed the correct insertion of both signal and anchor proteins in the vector.A bacterial amylase gene was cloned into the vector and tested for functionality.

Optical Humidity Sensor Based on Air Guided Photonic Crystal Fiber

We proposed a novel relative humidity （RH） sensor based on the air guided photonic crystal fiber （AGPCF） using the direct absorption spectroscopic method in this paper. The wavelength scanning around the water vapor absorption peak around 1368.59nm was realized by injecting the saw-tooth modulated current to a distributed-feedback laser diode. A reference signal was used as a zero absorption baseline and to help reduce the interference from the distributed-feedback laser source and probed region. The humidity level was determined by the normalized voltage difference between the reference signal and sensor signal at the peak of water vapor absorption. We demonstrated that a length of 5-cm AGPCF with a fixed small air gap between the single mode fiber （SMF） and hollow core fiber as an opening achieved a humidity detection resolution of around 0.2%RH over the range 0 to 90%RH which did not require the use of any hygroscopic coating material.

Synthesis of Biphasic Calcium Phosphate by Hydrothermal Route and Conversion to Porous Sintered Scaffold

Biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) consisting of hydroxyapatite (HA) and β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) was successfully synthesized by new hydrothermal route using β-TCP as precursor. The X-ray diffraction analysis of as-synthesized powder indicated that β-TCP had been transformed into HA phase and amount of HA formed gradually increased with prolonged time. The results revealed that the recent technique may be able to control the composition of the obtained BCP which would influence the bioresorbability. Porous body of BCP was prepared by impregnation of polymeric sponge template with the slurry of the powder followed by sintering. The X-ray diffraction of porous product revealed that the composition of β-TCP increased after sintering indicating that HA had been decomposed. Porous BCP obtained from the recent technique possessed both macro and micropores structure which are useful for rapid tissue formation. Besides, the recent porous fabrication technique yielded porous BCP which preserved the sponge template morphology, enabling it to fabricate porous material with controlled pores structure.

Bioactive compounds fractionated from endophyte Streptomyces SUK 08 with promising ex-vivo antimalarial activity

Objective: To determine ex vivo antimalarial activity and cytotoxicity of endophytic Streptomyces SUK 08 as well as the main core structure fractionated from its crude ***: The activities of SUK 08 crude extract were evaluated by using the Plasmodium lactate dehydrogenase assay and synchronization test against rodent malaria parasite Plasmodium berghei, instead of human malarial parasite Plasmodium falciparum. The cytotoxicity of the crude extract was determined by MTT assay. The crude extract was analyzed by thin-layer chromatography and gas chromatography–mass ***: The ethyl acetate crude extract showed very promising antimalarial activity with IC50 of 1.25 mg/m L. The synchronization tests showed that ethyl acetate extraction could inhibit all stages of the Plasmodium life cycle, but it was most effective at the Plasmodium ring stage. On the basis of a MTT assay on Chang Liver cells, ethyl acetate and ethanol demonstrated IC50 values of >1.0 mg/m L. The IC50 of parasitemia at 5% and30% for this extract was lower than chloroquine. Thin-layer chromatography, with 1: 9 ratio of ethyl acetate: hexane, was used to isolate several distinct compounds. Based on gas chromatography–mass spectrophotometry analysis, three core structures were identified as cyclohexane, butyl propyl ester, and 2,3-heptanedione. Structurally, these compounds were similar to currently available antimalarial ***: The results suggest that compounds isolated from Streptomyces SUK 08 are viable antimalarial drug candidates that require further investigations.

The evident change in the design of the autopilot system produced massive help for the aviation industry and it required frequent *** learning delivers appropriate outcomes when considering a continuous environment where the controlling Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)required maximum *** this paper,we designed a hybrid framework,which is based on Reinforcement Learning and Deep Learning where the traditional electronic flight controller is replaced by using 3D hand *** algorithm is designed to take the input from 3D hand gestures and integrate with the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)to receive the best reward and take actions according to 3D hand gestures *** UAV consist of a Jetson Nano embedded testbed,Global Positioning System(GPS)sensor module,and Intel depth *** collision avoidance system based on the polar mask segmentation technique detects the obstacles and decides the best path according to the designed reward *** analysis of the results has been observed providing best accuracy and computational time using novel design framework when compared with traditional Proportional Integral Derivatives(PID)flight *** are six reward functions estimated for 2500,5000,7500,and 10000 episodes of training,which have been normalized between 0 to−*** best observation has been captured on 2500 episodes where the rewards are calculated for maximum *** achieved training accuracy of polar mask segmentation for collision avoidance is 86.36%.

在全球汉语热的背景下,马来西亚非华裔学习华语的人数也日益增加,开办汉语课程的学校如雨后春笋般涌现。近几年来,华文扮演了越来越多重要的角色,吸引了不少非华裔家长把孩子在黄金学期中安排到华文小学学习。马来西亚华文教育体系明确规定,非华裔如果要上华文小学,首先要入华文幼儿园学习。华文幼儿园的汉语教学需要针对幼儿二语习得的特点而进行,同时也需要有相应的适合幼儿汉语教学的教材。然而,目前在马来西亚,专门针对幼儿的汉语教材还不多,相关研究也比较缺乏,值得人们去好好研究。笔者试图在这篇论文里就这方面作一些探讨。本人曾于2016年1月至2016年2月在马来西亚精明幼教中心进行教学实习,实习中所使用的教材为《乐乐语文列车华文课本》。这本教材无论是在内容编排还是在语言要素处理上,都有一些明显的特点。本文拟以这套幼儿汉语教材为分析对象,对其特点进行较为详细具体的分析,并结合自己的教材使用体会,指出教材的优劣所在。在此基础上,提出对这套教材进一步修改的建议,同时也对国别幼儿汉语教材的编写提出一些初步思考。全文分为以下几个部分：第一章介绍研究背景及意义,研究对象和方法及本文相关文献综述。第二章主要探讨儿童认知特点及其对教材要求。将从针对性、趣味性和实用性的角度探讨低幼儿汉语教材应具备的特点。第三章着重介绍《乐乐语文列车华文课本》(1-4)教材,分析教材的内容与体例、教材的语言要素处理特点、教材练习设计和教材版式设计特点。第四章为基于前文研究的进一步组思考,主要从教材的使用的角度来看《乐乐语文列车华文课本》(1-4)的优劣,提出一些对幼儿汉语教材的几点建议。希望本文的研究能对今后马来西亚幼儿教材的编写有一定的借鉴使用。
