Hyperspectral anomaly detection:a performance comparison of existing techniques

Anomaly detection in Hyperspectral Imagery(HSI)has received considerable attention because of its potential application in several *** anomaly detection algorithms for HSI have been proposed in the literature;however,due to the use of different datasets in previous studies,an extensive performance comparison of these algorithms is *** this paper,an overview of the current state of research in hyperspectral anomaly detection is presented by broadly dividing all the previously proposed algorithms into eight different *** addition,this paper presents the most comprehensive comparative analysis to-date in hyperspectral anomaly detection by evaluating 22 algorithms on 17 different publicly available *** indicate that attribute and edge-preserving filtering-based detection(AED),local summation anomaly detection based on collaborative representation and inverse distance weight(LSAD-CR-IDW)and local summation unsupervised nearest regularized subspace with an outlier removal anomaly detector(LSUNRSORAD)perform better as indicated by the mean and median values of area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)***,this paper studies the effect of various dimensionality reduction techniques on anomaly *** indicate that reducing the number of components to around 20 improves the performance;however,any further decrease deteriorates the performance.

An Indentation method for Nanoprecision measurement of Diamond Tool Edge Radius

In ductile mode cutting of brittle materials using di amond tools, such as ductile cutting of silicon and quartz for wafer fabrication , one of the key conditions for achieving ductile chip formation is to get the r ight ratio of tool cutting edge radius to the undeformed chip thickness. It has been shown that the undeformed chip thickness has to be in the order of nanomete rs and that the tool cutting edge radius has to be smaller than the undeformed c hip thickness. Therefore, nanoprecision measurement of diamond cutting tools has become a key issue for ductile mode cutting of brittle materials. In this paper , a non-destructive nanoprecision measurement method for diamond tool cutting e dge radius is presented. The basis of the method is that the exact profile of th e tool cutting edge can be perfectly copied by indenting the tool cutting edge o n the surface of a rigid-perfect plastic material, and that the copy of the pro file can be measured at nanoprecision level. Ideally, the first aspect of th e method is to make a perfect copy of the tool cutting edge profile by indentati on on the surface of a rigid-perfect plastic material which has no elastic spri ng back, so that a true copy of the tool cutting edge is maintained for subseque nt measurement. Since no rigid-perfect plastic material can be found in realit y, actual materials of rigid-elastic-plastic nature have to be used for the in dentation in the measurement method, and the material elastic error compensation coefficients have to be determined to cancel out the effect of elastic spring b ack. For the minimization of error compensation, criteria for the selection of t he optimal materials for the indentation measurement are found to be: 1) high ri gidity and high density, 2) large Young’s elastic modulus, and 3) low yield strength. 采用半解析有限元法建立了列车-轨道-地基土相互作用模型,通过线性赫兹关系考虑列车模型与轨道模型之间的动力相互作用,再通过动力平衡将轨道模型与地基土模型进行耦合;随后在轨道不平顺的激励下,计算列车沿线运行产生的地基反力;将此力作为由有限元软件ABAQUS建立的求解轨道沿线环境振动模型的输入,求得列车通过时引起的沿线场地的环境振动;利用北京某城轨线路区间站之间的环境振动观测数据对计算结果进行验证,证明了所建立的计算方法是有效的。这套计算方法具有一定实用价值可用来评估现有线路的环境振动,也可用来规划新修建线路附近场地的环境振动。

Drainage vs. non-drainage after cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis:a retrospective study

many surgeons practice prophylactic drainage after cholecystectomy without reliable evidence,this study was conducted to answer the question whether to drain or not to drain after cholecystectomy for acute calculous cholecystitis.A retrospective review of all patients who had cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis in Aseer Central Hospital,Abha,Saudi Arabia,was conducted from April 2010 to April *** were extracted from hospital case *** data included clinical presentation,routine investigations and liver function *** data included excessive adhesions,bleeding,bile leak,and drain *** cases such as pericholecystic collections,mucocele and empyema were also *** who needed therapeutic drainage were *** data included hospital stay,volume of drained fluid,time of drain removal,and drain site *** study included 103 patients allocated into two groups;group A（n = 38） for patients with operative drain insertion and group B（n = 65） for patients without drain *** number of patients with preoperative diagnosis of acute non-complicated cholecystitis was significantly greater in group B（80%） than group A（36.8%）（P 〈 0.001）.Operative time was significantly longer in group *** patients who were converted from laparoscopic to open cholecystectomy were in group *** analysis revealed that hospital stay was significantly（P 〈 0.001） longer in patients with preoperative *** was no added benefit for prophylactic drain insertion after cholecystectomy for acute calculous cholecystitis in non-complicated or in complicated cases.

Investigation of Bandwidth Requirement of Smart meter Network Using OPNET modeler

Smart meter networks are the backbone for smart electrical distribution grid. Smart meter network requires the bidirectional communications medium and interoperability capability. As thousands of meters are interconnected in the smart meter network, it is vital to select an appropriate communication bandwidth to facilitate real-time two-way information flows and this will also allow further uptake of greenhouse-friendly technology options and enhance energy security. Optimized Network Engineering Tools (OPNET) modeler is one of most powerful simulation tools for the analysis of communication networks. In this paper, several models of different structured smart meter networks were developed with network parameters which were connected with different communication links such as 10 BaseT and 100 BaseT in order to measure propagation delay, throughput, and utilization of the network. It was found that the propagation delay decreases with higher bandwidth. The other network parameters, namely network utilization and network throughput were also analysed. Based on the investigation, it is recommended that the 100 BaseT communication link is suitable for the smart meter network. The outcome of this paper provided a guideline to the future smart meter network developer so as to avoid catastrophic challenges faced by some of the distribution companies.

Oceanic autonomous surface vehicles(ASVs) are one kind of autonomous marine robots that have advantages of energy saving and is flexible to use. Nowadays, ASVs are playing an important role in marine science, maritime industry, and national defense. It could improve the efficiency of oceanic data collection, ensure marine transportation safety, and protect national security. One of the core challenges for ASVs is how to plan a safe navigation autonomously under the complicated ocean environment. Based on the type of marine vehicles, ASVs could be divided into two categories: autonomous sailboats and autonomous vessels. In this article, we review the challenges and related solutions of ASVs' autonomous navigation, including modeling analysis, path planning and implementation. Finally, we make a summary of all of those in four tables and discuss about the future research directions.

在连续性方程中人为加入压力的时间导数项,将人工可压缩方法与压力泊松方程相结合起来,有效抑制了由于守恒变量和非守恒变量转换引起的密度波动;运用改进的非线性动量插值格式对网格界面处的速度进行离散,消除了交错网格下棋盘式的压力波动,减小了网格界面处的数值耗散限。为验证该方法的通用性,依次对方腔自然对流、顶盖驱动流和后向阶梯流进行了数值分析,证实该算法在收敛速度、稳定性方面均有较大提升。

Comparison of Various Classification Techniques Using Different Data mining Tools for Diabetes Diagnosis

In the absence of medical diagnosis evidences, it is difficult for the experts to opine about the grade of disease with affirmation. Generally many tests are done that involve clustering or classification of large scale data. However many tests could complicate the main diagnosis process and lead to the difficulty in obtaining the end results, particularly in the case where many tests are performed. This kind of difficulty could be resolved with the aid of machine learning techniques. In this research, we present a comparative study of different classification techniques using three data mining tools named WEKA, TANAGRA and mATLAB. The aim of this paper is to analyze the performance of different classification techniques for a set of large data. A fundamental review on the selected techniques is presented for introduction purpose. The diabetes data with a total instance of 768 and 9 attributes (8 for input and 1 for output) will be used to test and justify the differences between the classification methods. Subsequently, the classification technique that has the potential to significantly improve the common or conventional methods will be suggested for use in large scale data, bioinformatics or other general applications.

many companies like credit card, insurance, bank, retail industry require direct marketing. Data mining can help those institutes to set marketing goal. Data mining techniques have good prospects in their target audiences and improve the likelihood of response. In this work we have investigated two data mining techniques: the Naive Bayes and the C4.5 decision tree algorithms. The goal of this work is to predict whether a client will subscribe a term deposit. We also made comparative study of performance of those two algorithms. Publicly available UCI data is used to train and test the performance of the algorithms. Besides, we extract actionable knowledge from decision tree that focuses to take interesting and important decision in business area.
