Pyridine-triphenylamine hole transport material for inverted perovskite solar cells

In the light of superior interaction between pyridine unit and perovskite,a facile star-shaped triphenylamine-based hole transport material(HTM)incorporating pyridine core(coded as H-Pyr)is designed and synthesized.A reference HTM with benzene core,coded as H-Ben,is also prepared for a comparative *** effects of varying core on HTMs are investigated by comparing the photophysical,electrochemical and hole mobility *** is found that pyridine core exhibits better conjunction and decreased dihedral angles with triphenylamine side arms than that of benzene,leading to obviously better hole mobility and well-matched work *** perovskite film prepared on H-Pyr also shows improved crystallization than on *** and electrochemical impedance studies indicate improved charge extraction and reduced recombination in the H-Pyr-based perovskite solar ***,H-Pyr-based device exhibits higher efficiency than H-Ben-based *** doping with a Lewis acid,tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane,H-Pyr-based device delivers a champion efficiency of 17.09%,which is much higher compared with 12.14% of the device employing conventional poly(3,4-ethy lenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS)as ***,the H-Pyr-based device displays good long-term stability that the power conversion efficiency remains over 80% of the initial value after storage in ambient(relative humidity=50±5%)for 20 days.

A comparative study of bismuth-based photocatalysts with titanium dioxide for perfluorooctanoic acid degradation

Bismuth-based material has been broadly studied due to their potential applications in various areas,especially used as promising photocatalysts for the removal of persistent organic pollutants(POPs) and several approaches have been adopted to tailor their ***,the bismuth-based photocatalysts(BiOCl,BiPO4,BiOPO4/BiOCl) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and advanced characterization techniques(XRD,SEM,EDS elemental mapping,Raman and UV-vis DRS) were employed to analyze their morphology,crystal structure,and purity of the prepared *** synthesized photocatalysts offered a praiseworthy activity as compared to commercial TiO2(P25) for the degradation of model pollutant perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA) under 254 nm UV *** was interesting to observe that all synthesized photocatalysts show significant degradation of PFOA and their photocatalytic activity follows the order:bismuth-based catalysts> TiO2(P25)> without ***-based catalysts degraded the PFOA by almost 99.99% within 45 min while this degradation efficiency was 66.05% with TiO2 under the same reaction *** work shows that the bismuth-based photocatalysts are promising in PFOA treatment.

AIM： Celiac disease is characterized by life-long gluten intolerance. Clinical features of patients with celiac disease are variable. Studies about the prevalence of celiac disease in our country are scarce and there is no study on the prevalence of celiac disease in southern Iran. In the current study, clinical, laboratory and histological features of 52 patients with celiac disease were evaluated. METHODS： In a cross sectional study we retrospectively studied the characteristics of 52 celiac patients at Ahwaz JundiShapour University Hospitals （AJSUH） from November 1, 1999 to 1st Sep 2004. Intestinal biopsy and serum antigliadin and anti-endomysium antibodies were used for the diagnosis of patients. Mucosal lesions were classified according to the criteria of Marsh. Antigliadin antibodies were measured with a commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Anti-endomysium antibodies were analyzed by indirect immunofluorescence with the use of a section of monkey esophagus. Routine hematological and biochemical analyses and measurement of immunoglobulin levels were undertaken.RESULTS： Male： female ratio was 1.08. The mean ＋ SD patient age was 21 ＋ 4.5 years （range 10-70 years） and the most common symptoms were diarrhea and weight loss （78.8%） followed by fatigue （73.1%）, pallor （65.4%）, anorexia （40.4%）, abdominal distention （32.7%）, and failure to thrive （23.1%）. Diarrhea and weight loss and fatigue were the most common findings. Iron deficiency anemia was found in 63.2% of patients and this became normal after adoption of a gluten-free diet in all patients. Immunoglobulin A, IgG antigliadin antibodies and IgA anti-endomysium antibodies were found in 33 and 48 cases, 78.8% and 85.4% of patients, respectively. Biopsy of the small intestine revealed that 90.4% of patients had typical lesions according to the Marsh classification. Entropy generation for mixed convection flow in vertical annulus with two regions hydromagnetic viscous and Cu-Ag water hybrid nanofluid through porous zone: a comparative numerical study

The primary determination of this study is a numerical investigation of the entropygeneration (EG) in the steady two-region flow of viscous fluid and hybrid nanofluid (NF) in along-infinite vertical annulus having a clear region as well as porous media. Stoke’s and single-phase NF models are used to study the viscous fluid and hybrid nanofluid (HNF) heat transferdevelopments, respectively. Two types of nanoparticles are taken, such as copper (Cu) and sil-ver (Ag) within base fluid water to make it a HNF. Darcy-Brinkman law is also used to examinethe flow through the porous zone in the annulus. Necessary quantities have been used in thesystem of equations to transfer them into non-dimensional forms. For momentum and energytransport, the numerical results are evaluated for various model parameters and are examinedvia the shooting method in MATHEMATICA. It is noted that the momentum and energy trans-port are more significant when two immiscible fluids in a clear vertical annulus are taken. Thefindings also indicate that two-phase momentum and heat flow are greater when a NF is used in Region-II and lower when a HNF is used. The temperature (in Region-II) falls with a high na-nomaterials volume fraction (see Figure 4) while it is increased when the Hartman number isincreased. Moreover, velocity declines with increment in nanomaterials volume fraction. Thus,higher thermal conductivity can be accomplished by using a magnetic field.

Carbon nanotube cuprous oxide composite based pressure sensors

In this paper, we present the design, the fabrication, and the experimental results of carbon nanotube （CNT） and Cu20 composite based pressure sensors. The pressed tablets of the CNT Cu20 composite are fabricated at a pressure of 353 MPa. The diameters of the multiwalled nanotubes （MWNTs） are between 10 nm and 30 nm. The sizes of the Cu20 micro particles are in the range of 3-4 μm. The average diameter and the average thickness of the pressed tablets are 10 mm and 4.0 mm, respectively. In order to make low resistance electric contacts, the two sides of the pressed tablet are covered by silver pastes. The direct current resistance of the pressure sensor decreases by 3.3 times as the pressure increases up to 37 kN/m^2. The simulation result of the resistance-pressure relationship is in good agreement with the experimental result within a variation of ±2%.

Curve interpolation model for visualising disjointed neural elements

Neuron cell are built from a myriad of axon and denddte structures. It transmits electrochemical signals between the brain and the nervous system. Three-dimensional visualization of neuron structure could help to facilitate deeper understanding of neuron and its models. An accurate neuron model could aid understanding of brain＇s functionalities, diagnosis and knowledge of entire nervous system. Existing neuron models have been found to be defective in the aspect of realism. Whereas in the actual biological neuron, there is continuous growth as the soma extending to the axon and the dendrite; but, the current neuron visualization models present it as disjointed segments that has greatly mediated effective realism. In this research, a new reconstruction model comprising of the Bounding Cylinder, Curve Interpolation and Gouraud Shading is proposed to visualize neuron model in order to improve realism. The reconstructed model is used to design algorithms for generating neuron branching from neuron SWC data. The Bounding Cylinder and Curve Interpolation methods are used to improve the connected segments of the neuron model using a series of cascaded cylinders along the neuron＇s connection path. Three control points are proposed between two adjacent neuron segments. Finally, the model is rendered with Gouraud Shading for smoothening of the model surface. This produce a near-perfection model of the natural neurons with attended realism. The model is validated by a group of bioinformatics analysts＇ responses to a predefined survey. The result shows about 82% acceptance and satisfaction rate.
