COVID-19 is a global pandemic disease,which results from a dangerous coronavirus attack,and spreads aggressively through close contacts with infected people and *** far,there is not any prescribed line of treatment for COVID-19 *** to control the disease are very limited,partly due to the lack of knowledge about technologies which could be effectively used for early detection and control the *** detection of positive cases is critical in preventing further spread,achieving the herd immunity,and saving ***,so far we do not have effective toolkits to diagnose very early detection of the *** research findings have suggested that radiology images,such as X-rays,contain significant information to detect the presence of COVID-19 virus in early ***,to detect the presence of the disease in in very early stages from the X-ray images by the naked eye is not *** Intelligence(AI)techniques,machine learning in particular,are known to be very helpful in accurately diagnosing many diseases from radiology *** paper proposes an automatic technique to classify COVID-19 patients from their computerized tomography(CT)scan *** technique is known as Advanced Inception based Recurrent Residual Convolution Neural Network(AIRRCNN),which uses machine learning techniques for classifying *** focus on the Advanced Inception based Recurrent Residual Convolution Neural Network,because we do not find it being used in the ***,we conduct principal component analysis,which is used for dimensional *** results of our method have demonstrated an accuracy of about 99%,which is regarded to be very efficient.

BACKGROUND Glaucoma is caused by increased intraocular pressure(IOP)that damages the optic nerve,leading to *** Ahmed glaucoma valve(AGV)is a glau-coma drainage implant device that is used in glaucoma patients with uncontrolled IOP.A possible complication after any ocular surgery however is hyphema,which can itself progress to uveitis glaucoma hyphema(UGH)syndrome on rare *** syndrome has not yet been reported as a complication of AGV *** SUMMARY Here,we have reported a case of a 55-year-old female who developed both hyphema and pigmentation as a result of AGV *** confirmed UGH syndrome secondary to AGV implantation after the patient underwent another surgery to shorten and reposition the AGV *** the second surgery,the patient’s IOP was reduced,and she had a clear cornea and no signs of *** This first report of UGH syndrome as a complication of AGV implantation reminds clinicians that frequent follow-up is paramount.

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is the most prevalent autoimmune sub-epidermal blistering disease that affects mainly the elderly and could lead to serious morbidity. It has numerous risk factors and triggers, including an aging population with several comorbidities and drug exposure. In the published paper, we reported a case about a 32 years old male patient with unknown medical conditions who presented with erythematous patches and plaques on the scalp, face, and trunk with scattered blisters two weeks after initiating doxycycline treatment for folliculitis. The exact pathogenesis of the drug-reaction in drug- associated bullous pemphigoid (DABP) remains controversial. In conclusion, it is crucial for clinicians to be aware of DABP when prescribing doxycycline. The purpose of this case report is to raise awareness of the possible association between bullous pemphigoid and doxycycline.

Parallel Technologies with Image Processing Using Inverse Filter

Real-time capabilities and computational efficiency are provided by parallel image processing utilizing OpenMP. However, race conditions can affect the accuracy and reliability of the outcomes. This paper highlights the importance of addressing race conditions in parallel image processing, specifically focusing on color inverse filtering using OpenMP. We considered three solutions to solve race conditions, each with distinct characteristics: #pragma omp atomic: Protects individual memory operations for fine-grained control. #pragma omp critical: Protects entire code blocks for exclusive access. #pragma omp parallel sections reduction: Employs a reduction clause for safe aggregation of values across threads. Our findings show that the produced images were unaffected by race condition. However, it becomes evident that solving the race conditions in the code makes it significantly faster, especially when it is executed on multiple cores.

Systematic review of anorectal leiomyosarcoma: Current challenges and recent advances

BACKGROUND The anorectal leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is an aggressive malignant neoplasm. Owing to the rarity of LMSs, an optimal treatment modality has yet to be determined. AIM To collect all published data on anorectal LMS characteristics, explore current treatment options, and review recent cases of postradiation LMS. METHODS A literature search of the PubMed electronic database was conducted using the MeSH terms "rectal neoplasms","anus neoplasms" and "gastrointestinal neoplasms" combined with "leiomyosarcoma". The search was limited to English language and human studies. All available case reports and case series of anal or rectal LMSs that were published from the beginning of January 1996 to May 2017 were included if the diagnosis of LMS had been confirmed by histopathologic examination. Data were analyzed using simple statistics (mean, median, and standard deviation). Independent sample t-test was used to compare means for continuous variables. RESULTS A total of 27 articles reporting on 51 cases of anorectal LMS were identified. Among these cases, 11.7% had undergone previous pelvic radiotherapy (developing LMS at 13-35 years afterwards). Anorectal LMS affected the rectum in 92.2% of the cases, and no sex-based predominance was observed. Surgical resection with negative margins remains the mainstay of treatment, which can be accomplished with wide local excision or radical resection. The local recurrence rate was higher among cases who received wide local excision (30%), as compared to radical resection (20%);however, the overall rate of metastasis was 51.61% regardless of the treatment approach. The use of neoadjuvant radiation lowers the risk of local recurrence compared to adjuvant radiotherapy, and facilitates R0 resection of the tumor. Cases treated with adjuvant chemotherapy showed better rates of distant recurrence and overall survival. Advances in the oncology field have led to improved survival ***,quality of life after remission is anticipated,which includes the possibility to conceive *** cancer treatments are potentially gonadotoxic,fertility preservation must be *** fertility preservation is mainly based on ejaculated sperm *** this is not possible,testicular sperm extraction(TESE)may be *** identify situations in which TESE has been beneficial,a systematic review was *** search was carried out on the PubMed,Scopus,Google Scholar,and CISMeF databases from 1 January 2000 to 19 March *** Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)recommendations were followed in selecting items of ***-four articles were included in the systematic review,including 15 articles on oncological testicular sperm extraction(oncoTESE),18 articles on postgonadotoxic treatment TESE and 1 article on both oncoTESE and postgonadotoxic treatment *** sperm freezing was possible for 42.9%to 57.7%of patients before gonadotoxic treatment and for 32.4%to 75.5%of patients after gonadotoxic treatment,depending on the type of malignant *** no formal conclusion could be drawn about the chances to obtain sperm in specific situations,our results suggest that TESE can be proposed before and after gonadotoxic *** treatment,TESE is more often proposed for men with testicular cancer presenting with azoospermia since TESE can be performed simultaneously with tumor removal or *** chemotherapy,TESE may be planned if the patient presents with persistent azoospermia.

Dear Editor,Allogeneic or autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)concerns an increasing number of ***,89070 allogeneic and autologous HSCT procedures were reported in 2016,representing a 7%increase per year since 1991.1 Improved transplant strategies and therapeutic efficacy have made HSCT a curative option for various indications,mostly comprising malignant blood cell pathologies but also including solid tumors or benign conditions.2 The conditioning regimen for transplantation often includes alkylating agents and/or total body irradiation(TBI).2 These treatments usually lead to permanent infertility.3 In men,the consequences include the impairment and reduction of Sertoli and Leydig cells,leading to the suppression of the spermatogonia pool and increased release of gonadotrophin.3 Although sperm banking can mitigate the risk of infertility.
