Cardiovascular diseases are the m.in cause of m.rbidity and m.rtality in the world, and obesity and the m.tabolic syndrom. are risk factors for its developm.nt. One of the therapies to reduce cardiovascular risk is the use of polyunsaturated fatty acids. In Brazil, a source of such acid is the oil extracted from.the fat of the capybara. The objective of this work is to study the effects of the capybara oil on lipid and glucose m.tabolism. as well as its effects on the adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling. We assessed the effects of capybara oil treatm.nt on body m.ss, lipid and carbohydrate m.tabolism. systolic blood pressure, adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling, and perform.d an ultrastructural evaluation of the m.ocardium.in C57Bl/6 m.ce treated with high-fat diet. Treatm.nt with capybara oil reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, systolic blood pressure, visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, and adipocyte diam.ter. In addition, cardiac rem.deling was attenuated, preserving cardiom.ocytes, increasing vascularization, reducing cardiom.ocyte hypertrophy and the extracellular m.trix, and preserving the m.rphological integrity of m.tochondria. Capybara oil has several beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and m.tabolic system. and further studies are needed to better understand its role in the prevention or treatm.nt of cardiovascular diseases.

Although m.chanism. of telom.re protection are well-defined in differentiated cells,how stem.cells sense and respond to telom.re dysfunction,in particular telom.ric double-strand breaks(DSBs),is poorly ***,we report the DNA dam.ge signaling,cell cycle,and transcriptom. changes in hum.n induced pluripotent stem.cells(iPSCs)in response to telom.re-internal *** engineer hum.n iPSCs with an inducible TRF1-FokI fusion protein to acutely induce DSBs at *** this m.del,we dem.nstrate that TRF1-FokI DSBs activate an ATR-dependent DNA dam.ge response,which leads to p53-independent cell cycle arrest in *** CRISPR–Cas9 to cripple the catalytic dom.in of telom.rase reverse transcriptase,we show that telom.rase is largely dispensable for survival and lengthening of TRF1-FokI-cleaved telom.res,which instead are effectively repaired by robust hom.logous recom.ination(HR).In contrast to HR-based telom.re m.intenance in m.use em.ryonic stem.cells,where HR causes ZSCAN4-dependent extension of telom.res beyond their initial lengths,HR-based repair of telom.ric breaks is sufficient to m.intain iPSC telom.res at a norm.l length,which is com.atible with sustained survival of the cells over several days of TRF1-FokI *** findings suggest a previously unappreciated role for HR in telom.re m.intenance in telom.rase-positive iPSCs and reveal distinct iPSC-specific responses to targeted telom.ric DNA dam.ge.

We report a novel double-shelled nanoboxes photocatalyst architecture with tailored interfaces that accelerate quantum.efficiency for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)via m.–S bridging bonds sites in S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–m.Te_(2).The X-ray absorption near-edge structure shows that the form.tion of S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–m.Te_(2) adjusts the coordination environm.nt via interface engineering and form. m.–S polarized sites at the *** interfacial dynam.cs and catalytic behavior are clearly revealed by ultrafast fem.osecond transient absorption,tim.-resolved,and in situ diffuse reflectance–Infrared Fourier transform.spectroscopy.A tunable electronic structure through steric interaction of m.–S bridging bonds induces a 1.7-fold enhancem.nt in S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–m.Te_(2)(5)photogenerated carrier concentration relative to pristine S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3).Benefiting from.lower carrier transport activation energy,an internal quantum.efficiency of 94.01%at 380 nm.was used for photocatalytic CO_(2)*** study proposes a new strategy to design photocatalyst through bridging sites to adjust the selectivity of photocatalytic CO_(2)RR.

The objective of this study consisted of evaluating the effect of the application of chitosan(Q),1-m.thylcyclopropene(1-m.P)under two controlled tem.eratures on som. physical,physiological,and chem.cal param.ters contributing to the quality of Persian lim. Citrus latifolia *** treatm.nts were evaluated,resulting from.the com.ination of four senescence retardant applications(Q,1-m.P,1-m.P+Q,and without application)on fruits stored at two tem.eratures(12/20℃.Epiderm.s color(lum.nosity,chrom.ticity,and hue),fruit appearance,respiration,weight loss,total juice content,total soluble solids,and titratable acidity were registered during the *** results indicate that the 1-m.P and Q com.ination favored fruit postharvest quality conditions such as reducing respiration rate;m.intaining fruit good appearance,turgidity,and brighter fruit chrom.ticity;fruits treated with chitosan and stored at 12℃,favored total soluble *** the other hand,Variables such as weight loss,juice content,acidity,phenols,flavonoids,antioxidant activity,and hue values were favored by a 12℃ storing tem.erature regardless of the *** general,the use of m.dified atm.spheres,senescence retardants,and refrigeration as postharvest m.thods,can increase Persian lim. shelf life.

Structural Foundation and Geom.try of the m.terial Singularity (and Its Quantum.Entanglem.nt)

In this paper we develop and study, as the second part of one m.re general developm.nt, the energy transm.tation equation for the m.terial singularity, previously obtained through the sym.etrisation of a wave packet, that is, we develop the correlation between the term. of this equation, which accounts for the form.tion of m.tter from.a previous vibrational state, and the different possible energy species. These energetic species are ascribed, in a sim.lified form. to the equation E¯ω=E¯k+E¯f, which allows us, through its associated phase factor, to gain an insight into the wave character of the kinetic energy and thus to attain the basis of the m.tter-wave, and all sorts of related phenom.nologies, including that concerning quantum.entanglem.nt. The form.tion of the m.tter was previously identified as an energetic process, analogous to the kinetic one, in which finally the inertial m.ss is consolidated as a m.ss in a different phase, now, in addition, the m.ss of the m.terial singularity is identified as a volum.tric density of waves of toroidal geom.try created in the process of singularisation or energy transfer between species, which m.kes it possible to establish the real relation or correspondence between the corpuscular and photonic energy equation (E=m.2=hν), i.e. to explain through m.the intim.te sense of the first equivalence, which explains what νis in the second one.

Biodiversity Assessm.nt of Avifauna in the Forest Reservation of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), Philippines

The research study was conducted to assess and quantify the current status of avifauna biodiversity assets of Aurora State College of Technology’s Forest Reservation in Baler, Aurora, Philippines. Assessm.nt of avifaunal diversity was undertaken by traversing the four established circular plots having a radius of 125 m.ters or 250 m.ters diam.ters each as perm.nent m.nitoring stations. Study revealed a total num.er of 151 Individual species, classified into 23 genera and 21 fam.lies. Eighteen of these species are endem.c while the rem.ining five were fully m.grated birds. All birds observed were classified as Least Concern (LC) species according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species and the updated list of the Birds of the World online. Its abundance, richness and diversity index were calculated using Shannon Diversity Index (H') while Pielou’s evenness (J') for distribution of species. Forest reservation of ASCOT has m.re even (0.756 J') and m.derate diversity (2.812 H') observation on avifauna in general. However, this avian population evaluation was threatened into a verge of extinction due to natural and anthropological threats that causes forest deforestation. Such deforestation of habitat causes dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the scarcity of bird’s population. Thus, the assessm.nt was conducted to aid ASCOT adm.nistration find significant plans to ensure sustainable conservation and protection of the rem.ining avifauna species in the reservation area.
