Physical activity and emotions in a period of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Social distancing(SD)to prevent SARS-CoV-2(COVID-19)transmission reduced practices of physical activities(PA)and changed emotional conditions,but the relationship between PA and the emotions has to be further *** study aimed to analyze PA and the intensity of basic emotions during a period of social distancing in the State of S~ao Paulo,*** collection was performed using the snowball system and an online survey with questions about the minimum weekly frequency of 30-min moderate and/or vigorous activities(MVPA),intensity of basic emotions,and sociodemographic profile.A total of 704 volunteers participated;mean age 38.113.4 years,67.9%female,82.0%insufficiently practiced MVPA,and 37.9%of the group reported no weekly ***/fear was the emotion with the highest intensity in the study period.A significant association was observed between PA and intensity of happiness(rho=0.125;p<0.01)and a negative association between PA practice and intensity of anxiety/fear(rho=-0.090;p<0.05),sadness(rho=-0.134;p<0.01),and anger(rho?0.109;p<0.01).Also,an association was observed between anxiety/fear and social isolation(rho=0.082;p<0.05).These results suggest that public policies offering PA programs and psychological care are required to improve the quality of life of the population.

Dear editor,Vulvar sarcomas are rare and represent 1%–3%of cancers in this region.1 Leiomyosarcoma is the most common type of vulvar *** contrast,epithelioid sarcoma(ES)is extremely rare,accounting for around 1%of soft-tissue vulvar *** the ESs of the vulva,proximal variants tend to have a more aggressive clinical course,in comparison to distal variants.2 The treatment of choice in proximal-type ES of the vulva is surgical resection,usually with surgical margins greater than 2 *** to the extreme rarity of these malignancies,clear algorithms for adjuvant treatment of these tumors have still not been *** and/or chemotherapy may be indicated in some cases.

Aims Understanding succession in tropical forest is an important aspect of vegetation science,but to date,successional processes in sea-sonally dry tropical forests(SDtFs)have received much less atten-tion than evergreen humid tropical *** aim to fill this knowledge *** We investigated vegetation succession in SDtF areas consisting of three different successional stages(early,intermediate,late),and a SDtF-savanna ecotone in the municipal district of Juramento,north of Minas Gerais State,*** twelve 400 m2 plots in each area,we compared vegetation parameters and structural variables(absolute density and basal area)and examined the floristic composition of the tree component to find gradients of *** Findings We found evidence of species turnover along a successional gradi-ent,with the intermediate stage showing the highest species rich-ness and *** was accompanied with a significant increase in the number of tree individuals and basal area from the early to intermediate successional ***,the intermediate and late SDtF successional stages were more similar in structure and *** ecotone was the most species rich and was similar to the intermediate SDtF and early successional stage in species richness and floristic composition *** results will have implications for guiding SDtF management and recovery programs.

The role of rhizobacteria in rice plants: Growth and mitigation of toxicity

Allelopathic compounds reduce the growth and productivity of upland rice plants, especially in consecutive plantations. The rhizobacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens BRM-32111 and Burkholderia pyrrocinia BRM-32113 have been recorded as growth promoters in rice. This study was developed to understand the effect of the application of rhizobacteria on upland rice plants in consecutive plantations. Experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design with four replications of four treatments: rice seed inoculated with P. fluorescens BRM-32111, rice seed inoculated with B. pyrrocinia BRM-32113(both sown on soil with rice residue), non-inoculated plants sown on soil with rice residue(control with residue(WR)), and non-inoculated plants on soil with no residue(NR). Roots and seedling growth were adversely affected by allelopathic compounds in control WR plants. Plants inoculated with rhizobacteria P. fluorescens BRM-32111 or B. pyrrocinia BRM-32113 induced an increase of 88% in biomass, 3% in the leaf area, 40% in length, 67% in root biomass, 21% in chlorophyll a, 53% in chlorophyll(a+b), 50% in rate of carbon assimilation(A), 227% in A/rubisco carboxylation efficiency(Ci) and 63% in water use efficiency(WUE) compared to control WR plants. These results indicate that rhizobacteria P. fluorescens BRM-32111 and B. pyrrocinia BRM-32113 increase the tolerance of rice plants to stress from allelochemicals. There are possible practical agricultural applications of these results for mitigating the effects of environmental allelochemistry on upland rice.

Several studies have been performed adjusting the levels of dietary digestible protein and digestible energy for tilapia,but none of them was performed in biofloc technology(BFT)system,especially in brackish(10)*** this sense,three levels of digestible protein(22,26 and 30%DP)and three levels of digestible energy(3000,3150 and 3300 kcal DE/kg)were evaluated on growth performance,body composition,hematological parameters and planktonic community in juveniles of Nile tilapia(***)raised under BFT conditions.A total of 540 tilapia fingerlings(GIFT strain with 1.25±0.15 g initial weight)were reared during 42 days in thirty-six plastic tanks(75 L),fed three times a *** interaction was detected in the parameters *** fish fed with feed containing 26%and 30%of DP obtained higher final weight,specific growth rate and condition factor as compared to those fed with 22%of DP(P<0.05).Body protein on tilapia carcass increased proportionally according to dietary *** higher dietary energy level promoted a higher body lipid *** to hematological parameters fish from all treatments presented a satisfactory immunological *** monitoring of planktonic community indicated a variation over time,specially on the number of dinoflagellates,rotifers and *** results indicated that diets containing 26%of DP and 3150 kcal/kg of DE for Nile tilapia juveniles promoted suitable growth performance and health conditions when reared in biofloc brackish water,and enabled savings in regards to dietary protein once the energy levels were adjusted.

Automatic Stamping Charger---Stamping of Blended Coal-Theorical Study and Practice Analysis at TKCSA

The coke plant of a steel plant corresponds to the area that transforms a blend of coal into coke for using in blast furnace and steam to power plant. The coking plant of ThyssenKrupp CSA uses the heat recovery technology with stamping charger for stamping and preparation a blend of coals for charging and coking. Stamping technology adds several benefits to the process, such as increased density, homogeneity and alignment of the coal cake charged into the oven, as well as provides better control of the coking process, improves parameters of coke quality and allows coal blending with lower coking power, thereby reducing the production cost of coke and power generation. Through the automation of stamping charger, it is possible to evaluate and calculate the stamped coal density charged and the productivity gains this system provides.

Successful Treatment with ¹⁷⁷Lutetium-Dotatate and Maintenance Octreotide in a Patient with Esthesioneuroblastoma with Central Nervous System Invasion: Case Report and Review of the Literature

This article presents a case of a patient with relapsed esthesioneuroblastoma (ENB), an aggressive rare tumor that arises from the specialized sensory epithelial olfactory cells in the skull base area, which was initially treated with endoscopic surgery, followed by adjuvant radiotherapy. After local relapse, new surgical approaches and subsequent lines of platin-based chemotherapy were performed. A PET-CT with 68GALIUM DOTATATOC (PET-DOTATOC) showed intense uptake of disease, compatible with the presence of somatostatin receptors, in the face, nodes, liver, bones, and meningeal area. Treatment with 4 cycles of 177Lutetium-Dotatate was performed, followed by maintenance octreotide, with a major radiological and clinical response that is lasting more than 1 year after treatment. This article describes a rare case of a skull-base tumor, with multiple recurrences, in which disease control was achieved with a targeted Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) with 177Lutetium-Dotatate, and discusses factors that could influence the incorporation of this form of therapy. Previous case reports proved the potential efficacy of this therapy usually given for low-grade neuroendocrine tumors and will be carefully reviewed.

Correlation between Rainfall and Mass Movements in North Coast Region of Sao Paulo State, Brazil for 2014-2018

The monitoring of related hourly and accumulated rainfall index requires that critical thresholds of accumulated 72 hours rainfall are updated frequently according with the factors and local conditions (natural and anthropic) of each specific risk area. The importance of empirical methods is fundamental to confirm the relationship between rainfall intensity and accumulated rainfall with the mass movement events, in order to establish the critical threshold values. The present work performs an evaluation of the record data of mass movement events occurred in Sao Paulo State North coast region for a 4-year period (2014 to 2018) considering different mass movement characteristics (slope type, magnitude and impact level). Some rainfall values were obtained to show that within these parameters an event related to natural and anthropic features was triggered. A database was created, sorting source of information and municipalities monitored, to implement the correlation between the mass movement events and the rainfall values. To elaborate the event’s map, reliable record data of localization of the mass movement events was selected, as well as the nearest possible raingauges of CEMADEN (National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters);also the exact event triggering time, selection by the slope type, the magnitude and the impact level of the mass movement event. The rainfall values of these raingauges allowed the calculation of the accumulated rainfall index for 1, 3, 6, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours, with the adoption of the 72 hours index for this work. The correlation graphics are divided by the slope type, the magnitude and the impact level of the mass movement event. Different critical thresholds appear, classifying such event by the influence level of triggering factors, natural and/or anthropic.

Social responsibility requires a set of duties and obligations, whether individuals or firms in relation to society and to the communities in which the organization is operating. The tradition of social intervention in Portugal dates from the fifteenth century and the founding of Mercy. However, environmental issues have never been felt in a sensitive position in responsible business, given the weakness of industrial development which lasted until the 60＇s. In Brazil, the corporate social responsibility is still particularly a big challenge, since the actions of social responsibility have not contributed effectively to improve the living conditions of society and the transformation of existing social reality. The purpose of this study is to emphasize the perspective of environmental sustainability that underpins the more general concept of social responsibility and, through the case study Caixa Geral de Dep6sitos, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the development of measures of social responsibility in this area in Portugal, and present the case of the company Vale, carrying out business in Brazil
