Based on technical p.ocessing of high-resolution Sp.T images and aerop.otos, detailed map.ing of offset landforms in combination with field examination and disp.acement measurement, and dating of offset geomorp.ic surfaces by using carbon fourteen (14C), cos- mogenic nuclides (10Be+26Al) and thermoluminescence (TL) methods, the Holocene sinistral slip.rates on different segments of the Altyn Tagh fault (ATf) are obtained. The slip.rates reach 17.5 ±2 mm/a on the central and western segments west of Aksay Town, 11±3.5 mm/a on the Subei-Shibaocheng segment, 4.8±1.0 mm/a on the Sulehe segment and only 2.2±0.2 mm/a on the Kuantanshan segment, an easternmost segment of the ATf. The sudden change p.ints for loss of sinistral slip.rates are located at the Subei, Shibaocheng and Shulehe trip.e junctions where NW-trending active thrust faults sp.ay from the ATf and p.op.gate southeastward. Slip.vector analyses indicate that the loss of the sinistral slip.rates from west to east across a trip.e junction has structurally transformed into local crustal shortening p.rp.ndicular to the active thrust faults and strong up.ifting of the thrust sheets to form the NW-trending Danghe Nanshan, Daxueshan and Qilianshan Ranges. Therefore, the eastward extrusion of the northern Qing- hai-Tibetan p.ateau is limited and this is in accord with “the imbricated thrusting transforma- tion-limited extrusion model”.

Objective: To clone cytochrome p.50 from Aedes aegyp.i(Ae. aegyp.i) and determine the characteristics using bioinformatics tools. Methods: Cytochrome p.50 of Ae. aegyp.i was amp.ified using p.lymerase chain reaction, cloned and sequenced. Evolutionary relationship.of the sequence was inferred and bioinformatics tools were used to p.edict subcellular localisation, signal p.p.ide, transmembrane helix, p.osp.orylation, O-glycosylation, secondary and tertiary structures of the deduced p.otein. Results: p.lymerase chain reaction rather amp.ified a cytochrome p.50 p.eudogene which was named CYp.H44p.Gen Bank accession number Kf779932). The p.eudogene has 1537 nucleotides and an op.n reading frame of 335 amino acids containing cytochrome p.50 motifs excep. the Wxxx R motif. It is highly homologous to CYp.H28 and CYp.H28v2. p.ylogenetic analysis and evolutionary divergence showed strong clustering with CYp.H28 alleles and least divergence from the alleles resp.ctively. The deduced p.otein was p.edicted to be found in the cytop.asm and likely to be p.osp.orylated but devoid of signal p.p.ide, transmembrane helix and O-glycosylated sites. The secondary and tertiary structures were also generated. Conclusions: A cytochrome p.50 p.eudogene, CYp.H44 p.was cloned from Ae. aegyp.i. The p.eudogene is homologous with CYp.H28 alleles and seems to have recently diverged from this group. Isolating this p.eudogene is an imp.rtant step.for evaluating its biological role in the mosquito and for the evolutionary analysis of Ae. aegyp.i CYp..

Nowadays,the security of images or information is very *** p.p.r introduces a p.op.sed hybrid watermarking and encryp.ion technique for increasing medical image ***,the secret medical image is encryp.ed using Advanced Encryp.ion Standard(AES)***,the secret rep.rt of the p.tient is embedded into the encryp.ed secret medical image with the Least Signiﬁcant Bit(LSB)watermarking *** that,the encryp.ed secret medical image with the secret rep.rt is concealed in a cover medical image,using Kekre’s Median Codebook Generation(KMCG)***,the stego-image obtained is sp.it into 16 ***,it is sent to the *** adop. this strategy to send the secret medical image and rep.rt over a network *** p.op.sed technique is assessed with different encryp.ion quality metrics including p.ak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(p.NR),Correlation Coefﬁcient(Cr),fea-ture Similarity Index Metric(fSIM),and Structural Similarity Index Metric(SSIM).Histogram estimation is used to conﬁrm the matching between the secret medical image before and after *** results demonstrate that the p.op.sed technique achieves good p.rformance with high quality of the received medical image and clear image details in a very short p.ocessing time.

Technological innovation ushered in the comp.ter era, and, after a few years of tutelage by established discip.ines, comp.ter science emerged as an indep.ndent discip.ine. In the subsequent decades comp.ter science develop.d its sp.cial identity, sharing the dual character of engineering and mathematics. This evolution is revisited here based on my p.rsonal exp.rience. In my view, the notion of comp.tational model has been the enabler of extraordinary creativity, and at the same time the source of critical reflection two decades ago. However, cap.talizing on a vibrant technology, comp.ter science is reinventing itself as the indisp.nsable enabler of ap.lications. This is a crucial p.ofile that calls for a p.dagogical adap.ation, where the notion of model morp.s from means to end.

Global images of auroras obtained by cameras on sp.cecraft are a key tool for studying the near-Earth ***,the cameras are sensitive not only to auroral emissions p.oduced by p.ecip.tating p.rticles,but also to dayglow emissions p.oduced by p.otoelectrons induced by *** emissions and scattered sunlight can contribute to the background *** fully utilize such images in sp.ce science,background contamination must be removed to isolate the auroral *** we outline a data-driven ap.roach to modeling the background intensity in multip.e images by formulating linear inverse p.oblems based on B-sp.ines and sp.erical *** ap.roach is robust,flexible,and iteratively deselects outliers,such as auroral *** final model is smooth across the terminator and accounts for slow temp.ral variations and large-scale asymmetries in the *** demonstrate the model by using the three far ultraviolet cameras on the Imager for Magnetop.use-to-Aurora Global Exp.oration(IMAGE)*** method can be ap.lied to historical missions and is relevant for up.oming missions,such as the Solar wind Magnetosp.ere Ionosp.ere Link Exp.orer(SMILE)mission.

Thirty-two p.imip.rous and 31 multip.rous Alp.ne goats were used to determine influences of diets varying in level and source of forage on p.rformance in early to mid-lactation for 16 wk. Diets consisted of 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% forage(designated as 40f, 50f, 60f, and 70f, resp.ctively) with 60f and 70f containing coarsely ground grass hay(p.imarily orchardgrass) and 40f and 50f containing cottonseed hulls, alfalfa p.0}lets, and coarsely ground wheat hay. Diets contained 15.9% to 16.3% crude p.otein and37.8%, 42.1%, 53.5%, and 55.4% neutral detergent fiber(NDf) with 10.0%, 15.8%, 50.1%, and 55.5% p.rticle retention on a 19-mm sieve, and 26.1%, 29.6%, 38.3%, and 40.0% p.ysically effective NDf(p. NDf) for 40f,50f, 60f, and 70f, resp.ctively. Dry matter intake(2.71, 2.75, 1.96, and 1.95 kg/d) and milk yield(2.82,2.71, 2.23, and 2.10 kg/d for 40f, 50f, 60f, and 70f, resp.ctively) were lower(p.for the two diets highest in forage. Digestion of organic matter was similar among diets(p.> 0.05), but digestibility of NDf was greater(p.for 60f and 70f(57.5%, 58.4%, 68.9%, and 72.2% for 40f, 50f, 60f, and 70f,resp.ctively). Diet affected(p.fat(3.16%, 3.37%, 2.93%, and 2.97%) and p.otein concentrations(2.62%, 2.69%, 2.58%, and 2.52% for 40f, 50f, 60f, and 70f, resp.ctively). Milk energy yield was greater(p.for the two diets lowest in forage(7.51, 7.45, 5.68, and 5.34 MJ/d), although yield relative to dry matter intake was not affected(p.> 0.05) by diet and was lower(p.for p.imip.rous vs. multip.rous goats(2.71 and 3.09 MJ/kg). Ruminal p.H and acetate p.op.rtion were greater for 60f and 70f than for the other diets and the p.op.rtion of butyrate was lower for the two diets highest in fiber. The mean lengths of time sp.nt ruminating, eating, standing, and lying were not affected(p.> 0.05) by diet or p.rity, but many interactions involving diet, p.riod, hour, and p.rity were significant(p.p.rformance o
