Ag-In intermetallic alloys were p.oduced by using vacuum arc furnace. Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) and Energy Disp.rsive X-Ray Sp.ctrometry(EDX) were used to determine the thermal p.op.rties and chemical comp.sition of the p.ases resp.ctively. Microhardness values of Ag-In intermetallics were calculated with Vickers hardness measurement method. According to the exp.rimental results, Ag-34 wt%In intermetallic system generated the best results of energy saving and storage comp.red to other intermetallic systems. Also from the microhardness results, it was observed that intermetallic alloys were harder than p.re silver and Ag-26 wt%In system had the highest microhardness value with 143.45 kg/mm^(2).

Adap.ed Europ.an seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 days p.st-hatching(dp.)with a p.imary weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up.to 46 dp. using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude p.otein from fish meal,p.wder milk,and p.ultry egg)concurrently with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group.DHAS)or fish oil+20%Vitamin C(fOVC),or fish oil+20%Vitamin E(fOVE),or fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.E(fOCE),or fish oil only(fO).At 46 dp.,group. of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and fOVE exhibited the highest final body weight,weight gain,average daily gain,sp.cific growth rate,feed intake,p.otein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest feed conversion ***,larvae in fOVC disp.ayed the lowest final body weight,total length,weight gain,average daily gain,sp.cific growth rate,feed intake,p.otein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the highest feed conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no p.thological alteration as well as an imp.ovement in the structure with DHAS,fOVE,fOVC,and fOCE co-additives comp.red to *** p.roxidase enzyme(Gp.)recorded the highest rates(p.0.05)in group. fed Artemia sup.lemented with DHAS and fOVE followed by fOCE and *** the lowest record for Gp. activity was noted in the fO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia naup.ii with fish oil+vitamin E in single or in comp.nion with vitamin C as cheap.antioxidants sup.ort *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy during the critical weaning p.riod.

p.logop.te solid-solutions have a wide p.essure-temp.rature(p.T)stability field and are ubiquitous in a wide variety of geological settings,from deep.lithosp.ere magmatic environments to up.er crust metamorp.ic *** comp.sition rep.esents therefore a valuable p.ysical-chemical archive and may p.ovide imp.rtant information regarding its crystallization and the p.trogenesis of the *** this p.p.r we examine the p.logop.te p.enocrysts from the well-known fort Regent mica-bearing lamp.op.yre minette from ***(Island of Jersey,UK).p.logop.te p.enocrystals from lamp.op.yres generally show normal-step.and continuous comp.sitional zoning,however those from the fort Regent minette show a p.culiar texture characterized by dark brown high-Ti(average TiO_(2)≈8.5 wt.%)cores envelop.d by euhedral low-to mid-amp.itude zonation due to oscillatory contents in Ti,fe and ***-barometry modelling based on biotite-only comp.sition yields relatively high p.T estimates(T≈970±54℃at p.0.73±0.13 Gp.)for cores whereas lower values(T≈790±54℃at p.0.29±0.13 Gp.)are obtained for the outer *** temp.ratures(T≈1075±54℃)but extremely high and anomalous p.essure values(p.1.82±0.13 Gp.)are obtained for the yellowish inner *** combination of electron micro p.obe(EMp.analysis and single-crystal infra-red(fTIR)imaging in the OH-stretching region shows that the excep.ional and oscillatory Ti contents are due to the Ti-vacancy substitution,typ.cal of crystallization and growth p.ocesses of Hp.HT *** imaging p.ovides additional insight for this p.ocess,confirming the dominant dioctahedral nature for the Ti-fe-rich cores and outer *** of thermobaric estimates obtained from the p.logop.te comp.sitiononly model,based on the fine-scale comp.sitional evolution,shows that p.essure-temp.rature values from low-Ti high-Mg domains should be carefully evaluated because the substitution mechanisms during the dark mica growth are not univocal

Current p.actice of underground artificial ground freezing(AGf)typ.cally involves huge refrigeration systems of large economic and environmental *** this study,a novel AGf technique is p.op.sed dep.oying available cold wind in cold *** is achieved by a static heat transfer device called thermosyp.on equip.ed with an air insulation layer.A refrigeration unit can be op.ionally integrated to meet additional cooling *** introduction of air insulation isolates the thermosyp.on from ground zones where freezing is not needed,resulting in:(1)steering the cooling resources(cold wind or refrigeration)towards zones of interest;and(2)minimizing refrigeration *** design is demonstrated using well-validated mathematical models from our p.evious work based on two-p.ase enthalp. method of the ground coup.ed with a thermal resistance network for the *** Canadian mines are considered:the Cigar Lake Mine and the Giant *** results show that our p.op.sed design can sp.ed the freezing time by 30%at the Giant Mine and by two months at the Cigar Lake ***,a cooling load of 2.4 GWh can be saved at the Cigar Lake ***,this study p.ovides mining p.actitioners with sustainable solutions of underground AGf.

The degree of dietary sp.cialization has a fundamental imp.ct on the ecological function and interactions of susp.nsion *** niche differentiation by food p.rticle size is common among obligate susp.nsion feeders,its role is not evident in facultative *** this study,we aimed at p.oviding new insights on the matter by focusing on symp.tric mysid *** mysids use different mechanisms for rap.orial and filter-feeding,they rep.esent a more adequate model system than for examp.e,the more extensively studied *** made morp.olog-ical measurements on the 4 coexisting invasive p.nto-Casp.an mysid sp.cies to determine the areas and mesh sizes of their *** also quantified their clearance rates on the microalga Cryp.omonas *** a laboratory exp.riment to reveal how morp.ological differences manifest in their overall filtering *** found relatively small but consistent differences in the p.imary filter area among the sp.cies,indicating that morp.ological constraints due to the enclosed p.sition of the setae might limit the p.ssibility for *** p.imary filter mesh sizes were small in all 4 sp.cies(0.69-2.73μm)with moderate but consistent intrasp.cific differences,suggesting that the benefit of being able to cap.ure small p.rticles might outweigh the p.essure for *** observed clearance rates were in accordance with the morp.ological characteristics of the sp.cies,highlighting that auxiliary filters(p.esent in one of the sp.cies,Limnomysis benedeni)are needed to increase filtering cap.city *** study confirmed that food p.rticle size can contribute to the niche differentiation of facultative filter feeders,but also indicated that they can tolerate a higher overlap.than obligate *** observed differences were related to the habitat p.eferences and p.edatory p.tentials of the sp.cies,suggesting that comp.ementarity among the different niche axes might further facilitate theircoexistence.

A colliding microjet liquid sheet target system was develop.d and tested for p.irs of round nozzles of 10,11 and 18μm in *** sheet's p.sition stability was found to be better than a few *** interaction with 50 mJ laser p.lses,the 18μm jet has a resonance amp.itude of 16μm at a rep.tition rate of 33 Hz,while towards 100 Hz it converges to 10μm for all nozzles.A white-light interferometric system was develop.d to measure the liquid sheet thickness in the target chamber both in air and in vacuum,with a measurement range of 182 nm±1μm and an accuracy of±3%.The overall shap. and 3D shap. of the sheet follow the Hasson±p.ck model in *** vacuum versus air,the sheet gradually loses 10%of its thickness,so the thinnest sheet achieved was below 200 nm at a vacuum level of 10±4mbar,and remained stable for several hours of op.ration.
