In recent years,there have been concerns about the toxicity of bisphenol A(BPA)in food packaging materials due to the potential endocrine disrupting effects it may have on humans,especially children and *** this present investigation,a free-standing nickel-copper pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid(PDA)metal organic framework(MOF)anchored carbon nanofiber paper(Ni-Cu(PDA)MOF/CNF)was synthesized for the sensing and quantify the BPA analytes in milk and ***-prepared bimetallic MOF hybrid materials are extremely porous,hydrophilic in nature with a huge surface *** allows for the easy pathway of analyte molecules,which react with the redox-active metal sites of MOF matrix and enhance the *** electrocatalysis reaction,various functional groups present in the MOF system can also act as dynamic adsorption *** the neutral medium(pH=7.0),the Ni-Cu(PDA)MOF/CNF modified glassy carbon electrode(Ni-Cu(PDA)MOF/CNF/GCE)ascertained good catalytic activity and strong electrochemical sensitivity toward BPA with higher sensitivity value and lower limit of detection(LOD)*** irreversible and diffusion-controlled oxidation reactions of BPA were *** bimetallic MOF modified electrode displayed an extensive linear ranging from 1 to 150μmol/L with a LOD of 75 n mol/L for BPA *** MOF anchored electrode displayed exceptional anti-interference property,reproducibility and good storage stability up to one *** is notable that the Ni-Cu(PDA)MOF/CNF/GCE has proved the competence of detecting BPA in milk and drinking water samples,which displayed satisfactory outcomes with chromatographic analysis.

Food Hygiene Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of the Food Handlers in the Military Hospitals

Improper practices and lack of knowledge by food handlers are contributing factors for the spread of foodborne outbreaks. This study aimed to explore the knowledge, attitude and practice of food handlers in military hospitals in Jordan. A Self completed questionnaire was answered by 200 employees;150 military employees and 50 civilian employees in 7 Jordanian military hospitals selected randomly one from the capital Amman and two from the three provinces. The results showed that the means of the percentage scores for the knowledge, attitude, practice, were 84.82, 88.88, 89.43, respectively and the overall knowledge, attitude, practice (KAP) mean percentage score was 87.88. A significant difference (P 0.05) in these values was observed between the military and civilian employee. The mean percentage scores for knowledge, attitude and practice were 88.5, 93.2, and 91.4, respectively for military employee compared to those for civilian employee of 73.7, 75.8, and 83.5, respectively. A significant difference for the overall (KAP) mean percentage score was also observed between gender, education and specific occupation of the food handler. Female KAP percentage mean score was 90.0 and that for males was 86.6;The college or university educations employee had a mean score of 91.6 while the elementary school education employee had a mean score of 79.7;The nutritionists and cooks had statistically similar means of 91.6 but these occupations significantly differ from the waiters 84.4 and cleaners 80.2.

The objective of this research is to introduce the use of different types of neural networks in human hand gesture recognition for static images as well as for dynamic gestures. This work focuses on the ability of neural networks to assist in Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) hand gesture recognition. We have presented the use of feedforward neural networks and recurrent neural networks along with its different architectures;partially and fully recurrent networks. Then we have tested our proposed system;the results of the experiment have showed that the suggested system with the fully recurrent architecture has had a performance with an accuracy rate 95% for static gesture recognition.

The ultimate aim of a smart city is to enhance the quality of life for its residents and businesses through modern technologies in order to reduce resource deterioration and maintain overall costs. From this perspective, blockchain is one of these technologies that has received much attention during the recent years as it offers new alternatives for individuals and institutions in the smart city context. This study aims to explore the potential and contribution of blockchain in smart cities by studying and reviewing the literature of scientific research on the concept and fundamentals of blockchain, involving its most practical applications. In addition, it summarizes worldwide examples of success in using blockchain as well as exploring the challenges and opportunities related to this technology in smart cities. Thus, this study provides a useful reference for researchers to review all about the new blockchain technology.

作为一名也门留学生,笔者始终关注中国与也门的双边贸易。在当下,中国在国际舞台上拥有越来越重要的地位,与世界上众多国家之间的贸易往来都在变得日趋密切。“一带一路”倡议与政策的提出,让中国更加重视位于自身与海湾阿拉伯国家之间的贸易合作。也门在海湾阿拉伯国家中处于经济较不发达的地位,近年来由于陷入内战,经济水平长期低迷,急需寻求经济重建的帮助与动力。为了长远的发展,加强与中国之间的经贸合作有着重要的意义。本文针对中国和也门两国之间贸易发展的历史、现况以及贸易具备的特点展开了研究。对近年贸易统计数据进行分析可知,目前中国和也门之间的进出口产品结构比较单一。中国主要从也门进口以石油为主的能源产品,同时向也门出口机电、化工、建材等产品。本文提出观点认为,中国和也门在当代有着友好的贸易往来,两国之间的贸易发展存在诸多机遇,但同样的,也存在诸多制约贸易发展的因素。结合当今“一带一路”倡议下的新国际环境,本文论述了两国产品进出口贸易过程中应该克服的问题,并重点论述了亚洲基础设施投资开发银行与丝绸之路基金这两项基于“一带一一路”倡议的国际公共产品能够为中国与也门之间贸易所提供的助力。之后,笔者进一步结合“一带一路”政策的发展与未来,论述了中也两国加强双边贸易的具体方针。总体来说,本文研究认为将来中也两国之间有着很好的长远的经贸发展前景,能够在经济合作方面有非常多的空间,未来中国和也门能够在更多门类、更多领域的产品贸易之间达成合作。两国需要由政府加强互信,企业深化合作,遵循平等尊重、互利互惠的原则,发扬自身的优势,提高产业竞争力,在经济上实现有效的合作与发展。

Sperm-specific phospholipase C zeta(PLCζ)initiates intracellular calcium(Ca2+)transients which drive a series of concurrent events collectively termed oocyte *** investigations have linked abrogation and absence/reduction of PLCζwith forms of male infertility in humans where oocyte activation ***,very few studies have examined potential relationships between PLCζand advancing male age,both of which are increasingly considered to be major effectors of male *** efforts in humans may be hindered by inherent PLCζvariability within the human population,alongside a lack of sufficient controllable ***,utilizing immunoblotting,immunofluorescence,and quantitative reverse transcription PCR(qRT-PCR)we examined for the first time PLCζprotein levels and localization patterns in sperm,and PLCζmRNA levels within testes,from mice at 8 weeks,12 weeks,24 weeks,and 36 weeks of age,from two separate strains of mice,C57BL/6(B6;inbred)and CD1(outbred).Collectively,advancing male age generally diminished levels and variability of PLCζprotein and mRNA in sperm and testes,respectively,when both strains were ***,advancing male age altered the predominant pattern of PLCζlocalization in mouse sperm,with younger mice exhibiting predominantly post-acrosomal,and older mice exhibiting both post-acrosomal and acrosomal populations of PLCζ.However,the specific pattern of such decline in levels of protein and mRNA was ***,our results demonstrate a negative relationship between advancing male age and PLCζlevels and localization patterns,indicating that aging male mice from different strains may serve as useful models to investigate PLCζin cases of male infertility and subfertility in humans.

Smart sustainable city is that uses the technology to transform their core systems and optimize the exploitation of limited resources;it is a knowledge-based system that provides real-time insights to stakeholders. As a result of the challenges facing the cities of the Gaza Strip regarding population growth, lack of resources, increased demand for materials, the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip for more than twelve years, the smart city approach can contribute to mitigating these challenges and creating opportunities and solutions for many of these problems. Thus, this study aims to promote sustainable urban development through the adoption of smart city approaches using the city’s 3D representation and analysis capabilities to reflect and define the current situation and formulate a future vision using GIS and Building Information Modeling (BIM) considering Sheikh Hamad city as a case study. This involves developing a GIS web-based 3D model of the urban landscape of the city and creating a geometric descriptive database that includes the various elements of the city such as buildings, services and other facilities. The constructed database is to be automatically updated and can be used to facilitate documentation, transparency and help in decision-making process. The 3D smart city can also benefit stakeholders, government officials, private sectors as well as the city citizens. Therefore, urban services will be more efficient, and the cities of the Gaza Strip will be able to achieve sustainable development and competition in difficult economic, environmental and social conditions. This study recommends the use of BIM and GIS technologies in the transformation to a smart city concept as well as the rehabilitation of existing cadres to enable them to use those technologies to achieve the goal of improving the quality of life and facilitating the daily lives of people.

AIM: To identify plasma analytes using metabolomics that correlate with the diagnosis and severity of liver disease in patients with alcoholic hepatitis(AH).METHODS: We prospectively recruited patients with cirrhosis from AH(n = 23) and those with cirrhosis with acute decompensation(AD) from etiologies other than alcohol(n = 25). We used mass spectrometry to identify 29 metabolic compounds in plasma samples from fasted subjects. A receiver operating characteristics analysis was performed to assess the utility of biomarkers in distinguishing acute AH from alcoholic cirrhosis. Logistic regression analysis was performed to build a predictive model for AH based on clinical characteristics. A survival analysis was used to construct Kaplan Meier curves evaluating transplant-free ***: A comparison of model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)-adjusted metabolomics levels between cirrhosis patients who had AD or AH showed that patients with AH had significantly higher levels of betaine, and lower creatinine, phenylalanine, homocitrulline, citrulline, tyrosine, octenoyl-carnitine, and symmetric dimethylarginine. When considering combined levels, betaine and citrulline were highly accurate predictors for differentiation between AH and AD(area under receiver operating characteristics curve = 0.84). The plasma levels of carnitine [0.54(0.18, 0.91); P = 0.005], homocitrulline [0.66(0.34, 0.99); P < 0.001] and pentanoyl-carnitine [0.53(0.16, 0.90); P = 0.007] correlated with MELD scores in patients diagnosed with AH. Increased levels of many biomarkers(carnitine P = 0.005, butyrobetaine P = 0.32, homocitrulline P = 0.002, leucine P = 0.027, valine P = 0.024, phenylalanine P = 0.037, tyrosine P = 0.012, acetyl-carnitine P = 0.006, propionyl-carnitine P = 0.03, butyryl-carnitine P = 0.03, trimethyl-lisine P = 0.034, pentanoyl-carnitine P = 0.03, hexanoyl-carnitine P = 0.026) were associated with increased mortality in patients with AH.
