Background: Despite the physical and chemical effort to control Aedes aegypti, the arboviruses transmission in the south of Mexico remains latent. Trying to improve the methods of entomological surveillance routinely used, whether the estimation of resistance to insecticides used for its control, as well as their enzyme mechanisms, were influenced by the phase in which the mosquitoes were collected through three different collection methods was investigated. Materials and Methods: Mosquito collections from the “5 de Febrero” neighborhood in Tapachula, Mexico were obtained by ovitraps, larvitraps, and a cDc backpack aspirator. Insecticide resistance of F1 females was determined by WHO diagnostic doses and resistance ratios (RR50), furthermore, levels of insecticide metabolism enzymes were determined by biochemical assays. Results: Overall, in mosquitoes collected by ovitraps, larvitraps, and cDc backpack aspirator respectively, the low mortalities obtained with the discriminant dose to Malathion (27.57%, 26.97%, and 26.91%), and to Bendiocarb (50.5%, 45.36%, and 54.97%) suggest resistance. However, Lc50 for Malathion (0.922, 0.934, and 0.915) and for Bendiocarb (0.112, 0.109, and 0.107);and the low resistance ratios (RR50) for Malathion (3.34, 3.29, and 3.27) and for Bendiocarb (2.15, 2.1, and 2.06) does not suggest resistance. Although a slight numerical variation is observed between the three Lc50 values, the overlap observed between their confidence intervals allows us to assume that there were no differences between the three methods. 嗜碱芽孢杆菌(Bacillus halodurans)c-125菌株的基因组中,一个编码木糖苷酶的基因(BH1068)被克隆并在大肠杆菌中获得高效表达。通过全面分析纯化蛋白,确证了它的木糖苷酶功能。该酶在pH4～9的范围内保持稳定,最适pH值为中性,有较宽的最适温度(35°c～45°c),且能在45°c范围内保持稳定。这些特性使得该酶可在较为宽广的条件下对木聚糖进行酶促降解。该酶对人工合成底物对硝基苯-β-木糖苷(p-nitrophenyl-β-xylose,pNPX)的比活力为174mU/mg蛋白质,且木糖对其反馈抑制较弱(抑制常数Ki为300mmol/L)。结果显示该酶是活性较高且较耐木糖抑制的细菌源木糖苷酶。该酶与商品化的木聚糖酶一起水解山毛举木聚糖(Beechwood xylan)时显示了增效作用,且水解率可获40%。该酶最适pH为中性,对木糖耐受等特性与大多数来源于真菌、最适pH为酸性、对木糖敏感的木糖苷酶将有较好的互补。结果表明该酶在木聚糖或含木聚糖多糖的单糖化过程可能发挥重要作用。

In this study we describe the fabrication of a variety of open-cellular titanium alloy（Ti-6 Al-4 V） implants,both reticular mesh and foam structures, using electron beam melting（EBM）. These structures allow for the elimination of stress shielding by adjusting the porosity（or density） to produce an elastic modulus（or stiffness） to match that of both soft（trabecular） and hard（cortical） bone, as well as allowing for bone cell ingrowth, increased cell density, and all-matrix interactions; the latter involving the interplay between bone morphogenetic protein（BMP-2） and osteoblast functions. The early formation and characterization of elementary vascular structures in an aqueous hydrogel matrix are *** results for both animal（sheep） and human trials for a number of EBM-fabricated, and often patient-specific Tialloy implants are also presented and summarized. The results, while preliminary, support the concept and development of successful, porous, engineered ＂living＂ implants.

AIM: To evaluate the association between serum concentrations of S100β in patients with cirrhosis and the presence of low grade hepatic encephalopathy (HE).METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study. The population was categorized into four groups healthy subjects, cirrhosis without HE, cirrhosis with covert hepatic encephalopathy (cHE) and cirrhosis with overt HE. Kruskal-Wallis, Mann Whitney’s U with Bonferroni adjustment Spearman correlations and area under the ROc were used as ***: A total of 61 subjects were included, 46 cirrhotic patients and 15 healthy volunteers. S100β values were different among all groups, and differences remained significant between groups 1 and 2 (P < 0.001), and also between groups 2 and 3 (P = 0.016), but not between groups 3 and 4. In cirrhotic patients with HE S100β was higher than in patients without HE [0.18 (0.14-0.28) ng/mL vs 0.11 (0.06-0.14) ng/mL, P < 0.001]. There was a close correlation between serum concentrations of S100β and psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score in patients with cirrhosis without HE compared to the patients with cirrhosis with cHE (r = -0.413, P = 0.019). ROc curve analysis yielded > 0.13 ng/mL as the best cutoff value of S100β for the diagnosis of HE (sensitivity 83.3%, specificity 63.6%).cONcLUSION: Serum concentrations of S100β are higher in patients with cirrhosis than in healthy volunteers, and are further increased in the presence of hepatic encephalopathy. The results suggest that serum biomarkers such as S100β could help in the correct characterization of incipient stages of HE.

Reliable production of biofuels and specifically bioethanol has attracted a significant amount of re-search *** this context,this study deals with dynamic simulation of bioethanol production processes and in particular aims at developing a mathematical model for describing simultaneous saccharification and co-fermentation （SScF） of c6 and c5 *** model is constructed by combining existing mathematical mod-els for enzymatic hydrolysis and *** inhibition of ethanol on cellulose conversion is introduced in order to increase the *** mathematical model for the SScF is verified by comparing the model predic-tions with experimental data obtained from the ethanol production based on kraft paper mill *** fitting the model to the data,only the yield coefficients for glucose and xylose metabolism were fine-tuned,which were found to be 0.43 g·g-1 （ethanol/glucose） and 0.35 g·g-1 （ethanol/xylose） *** promising validation results encourage further model application to evaluate different process configurations for lignocellulosic bioetha-nol technology.
