Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets play a crucial role in energy conversion and electronic *** essential magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B magnets,particularly coercivity and remanent magnetization,are significantly infuenced by the phase characteristics and *** this work,Nd-Fe-B magnets were manufactured using vacuum induction melting(VIM),laser directed energy deposition(LDED)and laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)*** evolution and phase selection of Nd-Fe-B magnets were then clarified in *** results indicated that the solidification velocity(V)and cooling rate(R)are key factors in the phase *** terms of the VIM-casting Nd-Fe-B magnet,a large volume fraction of theα-Fe soft magnetic phase(39.7 vol.%)and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase(34.7 vol.%)areformed due to the low R(2.3×10-1?c s-1),whereas only a minor fraction of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(5.15 vol.%)is *** the LDED-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,although the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase also had a low value(3.4 vol.%)as the values of V(c s-1)increased,part of theα-Fe soft magnetic phase(31.7vol.%)is suppressed,and a higher volume of Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phases(47.5 vol.%)*** a result,both the VIM-casting and LDED-processed Nd-Fe-B deposits exhibited poor magnetic *** contrast,employing the high values of V(>10-2m s-1)and R(1.45×106?c s-1)in the LPBF process resulted in the substantial formation of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(55.8 vol.%)directly from the liquid,while theα-Fe soft magnetic phase and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase precipitation are suppressed in the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B ***,crystallographic texture analysis reveals that the LPBF-processedNd-Fe-B magnets exhibit isotropic magnetic ***,the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,exhibiting a coercivity of 656 k A m-1,remanence of 0.79 T and maximum energy product of 71.5 k J m-3,achieved an acceptable magnetic perfor

The use of new class α-amino nitrile modified magnetic adsorbents for removal of cd(II) from aqueous medium: Sorbent modification vs. α-amino nitrile addition to the adsorption medium

In the present work,some novel α-amino nitriles were prepared:amino-2-(anthracen-9-yl)acetonitrile(AAN),and 2-(naphthalen-1-yl)-2-((triethoxysilyl)propyl)amino)acetonitrile(Si-AN).With the aid of other organic compounds(3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane“APTES”and tetraethyl orthosilicate“TEOS”),the following carbon nanotubes“cNT”and magnetite“Mag”based adsorbents were prepared:cNT-AAN,Mag-SiO_(2),Mag-SiO_(2)-APTES,Mag-SiO_(2)-*** FT-IR,1H and 13c NMR spectroscopy proved the formation of(c triple bond N)and(NH-)bonds which indicated successful amino nitrile modification of the *** ability of the above-mentioned adsorbents to remove cadmium“cd(II)”from water was studied at various pH *** modification with AAN reduced cd(II)uptake,while all Mag modifications increased cd *** addition of AAN to the extraction medium with cNT sorbent reduced cd(II)*** addition of TEOS and Si-AN to the extraction medium for cd(II)removal using Mag was studied where a positive impact was *** on the above experiments,it was decided to use Mag as adsorbent with the addition of Si-AN to the extraction *** optimization recommended pH 8 and cd:Si-AN molar ratio of 1:*** maximum adsorption capacity towards cd(II)achieved in this study was 65 mg g^(−1).The method selectivity,re-usability and applicability on well water and tap water samples gave appropriate *** adsorption of cd(II)on Mag in the presence of Si-AN was fast,endothermic,spontaneous,favored and physi-sorption was predominant.

We report on the structural,magnetic,and magnetocaloric properties of EuRhO_(3) *** oxidation states of Eu and Rh ions were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It is found that the Eu ions are mainly in the divalent oxidation state while the Rh ions have+4 ***_(3) powders are found to be antiferromagnetic with a second order magnetic transition at Neel temperature(T_(N)=2.9 K).Analysis of the magnetic susceptibility versus temperature data in terms of the curie=Weiss law:(χ=c/(T-θ_(W))) for T>T_(N),yields θ_(W)=-3.1 K and effective magne tic moment μ_(ff)^(exp),which is close to the theoretical value μ_(eff)^(theo).The magnetic entropy change(-Δ_(SM)),was determined by em ploying the thermodynam ic Maxwell's *** μ_0H=5 T and near T_(N),ΔS_(M)^(Max) and relative cooling power(RcP) exhibit large values of 33.7 J/(kg·K) and 238 J/kg,*** large magnitude of-Δ_(SM) and RcP show that the EuRhO_(3) compound could be a potential candidate to be used in cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.

Rational design of efficient pH-universal hydrogen evolution reaction catalysts to enable large-scale hydrogen production via electrochemical water splitting is of great significance,yet a challenging ***,Ru atoms in the Ru_(2)P structure were replaced with M=co,Ni,or Mo to produce M_(2-x)Ru_(x)P *** metals show strong site preference,with co and Ni occupying the tetrahedral sites and Ru the square pyramidal sites of the coRuP and NiRuP Ru_(2)P-type *** presence of co or Ni in the tetrahedral sites leads to charge redistribution for Ru and,according to density functional theory calculations,a significant increase in the Ru d-band *** a result,the intrinsic activity of coRuP and NiRuP increases considerably compared to Ru_(2)P in both acidic and alkaline *** effect is not observed for MoRuP,in which Mo prefers to occupy the pyramidal *** particular,coRuP shows state-of-the-art activity,outperforming Ru_(2)P with Pt-like activity in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)(η10=12.3 mV;η100=52 mV;turnover frequency(TOF)=4.7 s^(-1)).It remains extraordinarily active in alkaline conditions(η10=12.9 mV;η100=43.5 mV)with a TOF of 4.5 s^(-1),which is 4x higher than that of Ru_(2)P and 10x that of Pt/*** increase in the co content does not lead to drastic loss of activity,especially in alkaline medium,where,for example,the TOF of co_(1.9)Ru_(0.1)P remains comparable to that of Ru_(2)P and higher than that of Pt/c,highlighting the viability of the adopted approach to prepare cost-efficient catalysts.

A 56-day feeding period was performed to investigate the possible impacts of dietary nano curcumin(0,50,100,150,and 200 ppm)on the growth,nutrient utilization,non-specific immune parameters,antioxidants in Nile tilapia under chronic low temperature(21.02±0.11◦c).Fishes(n=225;Initial weight=4.39±0.08 g/fish)were randomly stocked at 15 fish/tank for five experimental groups in *** low-temperature circumstances,dietary curcumin in nano form showed no notable alteration in growth variable,nutrient efficiency,digestive enzymes efficiency,biometric indices,survival rates,and hematological ***,the serum of fishes with nano curcumin diets under low-temperature stress displayed higher total protein as well as lower glucose,cortisol,and total cholesterol compared with the control ***,fish fed nano curcumin diets displayed higher lysozyme and bactericidal activities compared to the control group and the best performance was found at dietary nano curcumin level of≥100 ***,groups fed the basal diet demonstrated the poorest antioxidant capacity,and the best superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)existed in fish with nano curcumin diets while the best catalase(cAT)efficiency occurred at higher nano curcumin levels≥100 *** addition,higher counts of intestinal microbiota in terms of total bacterial count(TBc),total yeast and molds count(TYMc),and coliform were noticed in fish consumed the basal diet compared to groups fed on nano curcumin *** conclusion,incorporating nano curcumin at a level of≥100 mg/kg diet(particularly at 150 mg/kg)improved a non-specific immune response,antioxidant,and healthier gastrointestinal microbiota in Nile tilapia under chronic low-temperature stress.

Activation of cerebral Ras-related c3 botulinum toxin substrate(rac) 1 promotes post-ischemic stroke functional recovery in aged mice

Experimental validation of double-fed induction generator in oscillating water column using circulatory system-based optimization

This paper validates the optimal operation for a grid-connected double-fed induction generator(DFIG)in an oscillating water column power plant(OWcPP).This study presents a novel optimization technique called the circulatory system-based optimization(cSBO)approach to develop six adaptive fuzzy logic controllers(AFLcs)with 30 parameters and compare them to chaotic-billiards optimization(c-BO)and genetic algorithm(GA).The proposed controller is also compared with a proportional-integral differential(PID)controller based on a self-adaptive global-best harmony search(SGHS).cSBO-based AFLcs are fully investigated under different scenarios and experimented with using a real-time interface *** results of using cSBO-AFLcs revealed a fast time response,fast convergence,less overshoot and minimal error compared with those achieved with c-BO-AFLc,SGHS-PID and GA-AFLc during different case *** cSBO-based AFLcs ensure maximum power from the DFIG in an OWcPP and enhance dynamic response with very low *** results show that the cSBO shows better power tracking by 25%as compared with c-BO,by 45%when compared with the GA and by 56%when compared with ***,the integral absolute errors of six controllers are investigated to demonstrate the feasibility of *** root mean square of the errors of six controllers using cSBO is improved by 68.27%when compared with GA,by 22.57%when compared with c-BO and by 38.42%when compared with *** indicators demonstrate the feasibility of cSBO when compared with other algorithms with the same OWcPP.
