Professional values in nursing students in Jordan:baccalaureate nursing students’perception

Objective:Baccalaureate degree curricula consist of several professional values required for nursing students,which are taught in many *** study aimed to explore the perception of baccalaureate Jordanian nursing students regarding professional values and to assess the relationship between students’demographics and their perception of professional ***:The study design was a descriptive,cross-sectional correlational design.A convenience sample of 182 Jordanian undergraduate nursing students enrolled at one of the most prominent universities in Jordan who completed and submitted a self-administered Nurses’Professional Values scale(NPVs)was considered for this ***:The NPVs total score ranged from 37 to 130,with a relatively high total score mean(99.68 with a mean of 3.83 out of 5).The highest score domain in NPVs was“Justice”with a mean of 3.97,while the lowest ranked domain was“Activism”with a mean of *** correlation coefficient showed no statistically significant correlation between age nor accumulative students’average with a total score of Nurses Professional Values scale-revised(NPVs-R)and its *** t test results showed that gender and type of students’enrollment(regular ***)did not affect the means of NPVs-R and its *** differences were found to be statistically significant between the means of first year students and fourth year students in the total score of ***:Findings of the study alert nursing educators to pay more attention to the importance of promoting the values related to“activism”and“professionalism”among nursing *** for enhancing the roles of peer supervision and providing peer review to colleagues would contribute to improving nursing students’performance and raising self-awareness because when nursing educators pay more attention to the items of these domains,better future nursing professionals,leaders,and researchers can be ***,understanding nursin

Newcastle disease (ND) virus is a leading threat to commercial and domestic poultry in Pakistan. The virus infects and constitutes irreversible impairment to the nervous system, damages the respiratory system, and marks severe gastrointestinal lesions leading to heavy mortality in short-living birds and substantial losses in layers and breeders. The continuous emergence and evolution of the virus made it inclined to evade the humoral response and indirectly the circumvention of artificial active immunization. Newcastle disease is caused by the orthoavula genus of the paramyxoviridae family and has shown high genetic diversity even in their genotypes while information regarding enzootic trends of the virus is scanty in Pakistan. A total of 40 tracheal samples of NDV were collected from different commercial broiler farms and 11 isolates of NDV were identified. In the current study, we determined the genetic diversity of the Newcastle disease virus based on the partial sequencing of the fusion protein gene available in the NCBI database. Genetic analysis showed that seven isolates belonged to class I genotype VII and four belonged to class II genotype II. Interestingly, two isolates had epidemiological connections with vaccine-like class II genotype II. Our findings, concerning the recent outbreaks of class I genotype VII and class II genotype II of NDV in vaccinated commercial flocks, suggest possible potential partial mutations in the fusion protein gene. Genetic diversity and formation of the new cleavage site in an important neutralizing protein of wild strain are linked with the potency of artificial active immunization and a major cause of vaccine failure.

面对日益复杂的就业市场形势,随着数字化进程的加快和毕业生规模的不断增长,社会对大学生尤其是经管类等应用性强的专业学生的综合就业能力提出了更高标准。文章以成果导向教育(Outcome-based Education,OBE)理念和加涅学习结果分类理论为基础,针对大学生的综合就业能力预设学习成果,并逆向设计教学活动。文章以“供应链管理”课程为例,构建了一种以综合就业能力为导向的多层循环教学模式,并提出了相应的实践建议。通过将OBE理念与加涅学习结果理论相结合,文章不仅具体化了学习结果的实现过程,还预设了有层次的学习成果,从而丰富了这两种理论在教学改革中的应用。此外,文章的研究还有助于提高人才培养与社会需求的匹配度,为我国高校课程设计的优化和教学质量的提升提供了有益的参考。

Optical and electrical conductivity properties of rare earth elements(sm, Y, La, Er) co-doped CeO_(2)

In this research,un-doped CeO_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)MO_(0.05)O_(2)(M:sm,Er,Y) compounds were synthesized by hydrothermal method and the multi-functional properties are *** defects were created with the additives of rare earth *** electrical and luminescence behaviors of the synthesized compounds were investigated in accord with the types of *** synthesized products were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) measurement,UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRs),scanning electron microscopy(sEM),photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic(EIs).All synthesized compounds are found to be nano-structured and have cubic *** total conductivity of all samples was ***,the total conductivity of un-doped CeO_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Y_(0.05)O_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Er_(0.05)O_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)sm_(0.05)O_(2) is found to be 2.07×10^(-10),5.70×10^(-4),1.0×10^(-3) and 0.0747 s/cm,***,bandgap energy(E_(g)) of these samples calculated from UV visible absorption spectra is discussed,and the optical results show variation between 3.2 and 2.15 ***,the luminescence properties of the compounds were investigated and different emissions occur depending on the additive ***,photoluminescent emission spectra of Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Y_(0.05)O_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Er_(0.05)O_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)sm_(0.05)O_(2) phosphors indicate that these phosphors have red,green and orange-red colors,respectively.

Incidence of ocular manifestations in patients with graft versus host disease after allogeneic stem cell transplant in Riyadh, saudi Arabia

AIM: To evaluate the incidence and severity of ocular graft versus host disease(o GVHD) in patients who underwent allogeneic stem cell transplant(sCT) in King Abdul-Aziz Medical City, saudi ***: This is a retrospective cohort study conducted in King Abdul Aziz Medical City on patients who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant(allo-HCT) from 2010 to 2017. The ocular examination findings including visual acuity, meibomian gland dysfunction, corneal and conjunctival staining with severity, corneal scarring, tear film meniscus and breakup time, anterior and posterior segment examination findings, intraocular pressure, treatment given, punctual plugs used or not, and follow up response were ***: The five years cumulative incidence of o GVHD among post-transplant patients was 56.98%(95%CI 38.6%-71.7%). The potential risk factors assessed for developing ocular manifestation were age, gender, donor’s age, donor gender mismatch CD3 and CD34 infusion, while none of the correlates were identified as statistically significant risk factors of developing ocular manifestation. However, the incidence was statistically significantly different betweenpatients diagnosed with acute myelocytic leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia(P=0.038). The mean latent period to develop ocular symptoms was 20.5 mo. All patients had variable degree of dry eyes. None of the patients developed any posterior segment ***: The incidence of o GVHD is low in King Abdul-Aziz Medical City. This can be attributed to the preconditioning and immunosuppressive regime.
