Productive performance, egg quality, hematological parameters and serum chemistry of laying hens fed diets supplemented with certain fat-soluble vitamins, individually or combined, during summer season

This present study aimed to determine the efficacy of supplementing layer diets with vitamin A(0, 8,000 and16,000 IU/kg diet) and vitamin E(0, 250 and 500 mg/kg diet) either individually or in combination on egg production and quality, and blood hematology and chemistry of birds reared under summer conditions. A total of 135 Bovans Brown laying hens were distributed to 9 treatment groups with 5 replicates of 3 hens/pen in a 3 × 3 factorial design. A significant improvement in feed conversion ratio(FCR) was observed as supplementary vitamin A or E increased(P 0.01). Hens fed diets supplemented with 16,000 IU vitamin A plus 500 mg vitamin E/kg diet had the best FCR among all groups. Egg quality traits were not significantly affected by the interaction of vitamin A and vitamin E levels. There was a significant increase in monocytes(P ≤ 0.01)and a decrease in basophils counts(P ≤ 0.05) in response to vitamin E. Significant decreases were observed in packed cell volume(PCV), thyroxine(T_4), alanine transferase(ALT), albumin, total cholesterol and total lipids((P ≤ 0.05 or P ≤ 0.01) P 0.01), and increases were observed in serum concentrations of globulin(P ≤ 0.05)and calcium(P ≤ 0.01) due to vitamin A. The combination of 0 IU vitamin A and 500 mg vitamin E/kg diet had the highest values of PCV(40.09%) and hemoglobin(Hb)(10.33 mg/100 mL) among all groups. Vitamin E raised serum values of total protein, total cholesterol and total lipids(P ≤ 0.05 or P≤ 0.01). Feed intake, FCR,PCV, Hb, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, T_4, ALT and total protein were significantly affected by the interaction of vitamins A and E(P ≤ 0.05 or P ≤ 0.01). The interaction of vitamins A and E was only significant with respect to serum total protein(P ≤ 0.05). It can be concluded that layer diets supplemented with vitamins A and E had good results in alleviating the harmful impacts of high ambient temperature. Doping-reinforced interfacial electric field for charge oriented accumulation in Ohm junction boosting photocatalytic nfixation

The interfacial electric field （IEF） determines the charge carriers transport and the reactivity of heterostructure ***,the restricted IEF lead to inefficient interfacial charge transport and oriented accumulation,resulting in low photocatalytic ***,a interfacial chemical-bonded Ti-BiOBr/1T-MoS1.85Ohm junction is fabricated via electrostatic self-assembly strategy,in which Ti doping precisely regulates the local electrical structure and work function of BiOBr,thus boosting the IEF to efficiently drive charge transfer and oriented accumulation to active *** femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy verified that the Ti0.1Bi0.9OBr/1T-MoS1.85-6%increased the shallow electron trapping （τ1=0.57 ps）while the depressed recombination of photoinduced electrons with trapped holes （τ2=71.88 ps） compared to the BiOBr/1T-MoS1.85-6%（τ1=0.78 ps,τ2=54.61 ps）.More Importantly,the interfacial charge carriers transfer from Ti0.1Bi0.9OBr to 1T-MoS1.85（τ3=86.53 ps） was significantly accelerated by the reinforced IEF compared to BiOBr/1T-MoS1.85-6%（τ3=221.51 ps）.The n2-to-nH3conversion rate of Ti0.1Bi0.9OBr/1T-MoS1.85-6%Ohm junction (36.8μmol g-1cath-1) was 1.9 and 6.9-fold higher than that of BiOBr/1T-MoS1.85-6%and 1T-MoS1.85,*** work provides a new insight into the design of Ohm junction with reinforced IEF for efficient interfacial charge carrier transfer and oriented accumulation towards efficient n2fixation.

Simulation of multiphase boost DC-DC converter with the stable control strategy

The multiphase boost DC-DC converter with stable control strategy is presented. Multi- phase boost DC-DC converter is designed for high voltage and high power applications, and could be achieved by the adjustment of voltage doubler rectifiers on the secondary side of high frequency transformers. The stable control strategy for three phase boost DC-DC converter has been utilized during simulation in this study and this strategy can be extend to n-number of phases. The stable control strategy consists of only three voltage loops, which are sufficient for appropriate and efficient operation of three phase boost DC-DC converter. With the stable control strategy, the equal power balance sharing can be obtained between input and output. The stability of control strategy has been evaluated by simulating the multiphase boost DC-DC converter for the same and mismatch turn ratios of high frequency transformers. The simulation result is good and the objective of the strategy is a- chieved.

Study on Growth Effects of Major-nutrients Composition to Banana Cultivation in Coastal Areas of Sindh, Pakistan

The composition of major nutrients, i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (nPK), is a critical factor in banana cultivation and also influences crop yield. This study was aimed to analyze the concentrations of nPK in different banana growing locations of coastal areas of Sindh, Pakistan. A total of 15 composite soil samples at the depth of 0 - 15 and 15 - 30 cm and the same number of banana leaves were collected. The samples were analyzed for the concentration of n, P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn and Cl concentrations. Results showed that the surface and sub-surface soils of coastal areas were heavy in texture, non-saline, medium alkaline and moderately calcareous in nature. Medium to adequate in Organic Matter (OM), medium in total nitrogen, medium to optimum in available phosphorus, medium to high in exchangeable potassium and deficient in available zinc at both tested depths. The analysis of soluble anions indicated that the carbonates were absent and that chlorides were dominant as compared with bicarbonates. nitrogen and zinc concentrations of banana leaves were below the critical level, whereas P, K, Mn and chloride ion concentration were above the critical levels. In addition, the relative percentages for K, Ca and Mg were 57.72 to 61.72, 19.05 to 21.00 and 17.70 to 20.00 respectively.

Improvement of the efficacy of influenza vaccination (H5n1) in chicken by using extract of Cochinchina momordica seed (ECMS)

Seeds of a Chinese traditional medicine plant, Cochinchina momordica were used in the present study for the improvement of influenza vaccine （HSn 1） in chicken. Crude extraction from Cochinchina momordica seed （ECMS） was obtained by ethanol extraction method. In experiment no. 1, two weeks old chickens were immunized with influenza vaccine （HSn1） alone or combined with ECMS （5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 μg/dose）. Serum IgG antibody levels （by ELISA） as well as effects on dally weight gain were measured on 0, 7, 14 and 28th day after immunization. Results revealed that all ECMS groups numerically increased the antibody levels while 10 and 20 μg/dose groups significantly （P〈0.05） enhanced total IgG antibody on day 28, when compared with control. Average daily weight gain was also significantly higher in 20 μg/dose ECMS group. Adjuvant effect was also confirmed in experiment no. 2 when chickens were immunized with 20 μg/dose ECMS and antibody titer was measured through hemagglutination inhibition （HI）. It is concluded that ECMS has potential to improve the immune responses and deserve further study as an adjuvant.

Use of genotype-environment interactions to elucidate the pattern of maize root plasticity to nitrogen deficiency

Maize（Zea mays L.） root morphology exhibits a high degree of phenotypic plasticity to nitrogen（n） de ficiency,but the underlying genetic architecture remains to be investigated Using an advanced BC_4F_3 population,we investigated the root growth plasticity under two contrasted n levels and identi fied the quantitative trait loci（QTLs） with QTL-environment（Q×E）interaction effects. Principal components analysis（PCA） on changes of root traits to n de ficiency（D Ln-Hn） showed that root length and biomass contributed for 45.8% in the same magnitude and direction on the first PC,while root traits scattered highly on PC_2 and PC_3. Hierarchical cluster analysis on traits for D Ln-Hn further assigned the BC_4F_3 lines into six groups,in which the special phenotypic responses to n de ficiency was presented These results revealed the complicated root plasticity of maize in response to n de ficiency that can be caused by genotype environment（G×E） interactions. Furthermore,QTL mapping using a multi-environment analysis identi fied 35 QTLs for root traits. nine of these QTLs exhibited signi ficant Q×E interaction effects. Taken together,our findings contribute to understanding the phenotypic and genotypic pattern of root plasticity to n de ficiency,which will be useful for developing maize tolerance cultivars to n de ficiency.

我们的论文工作旨在分析铪氢化物和锂氢化物纳米团簇的行为,以达到潜在的储氢目的。目前可用的化石燃料是人类活动所需的主要能源’但这些燃料由于过度使用而不断减少。此外,由于充分利用化石燃料,气候变化也成为一个严重的问题。为了缓解这些问题,替代能源对于满足能源需求至关重要,而且还必须是环境友好型的,以尽量减少对全球变暖的不利影响。其中,氢被认为是未来运输所需的理想能源载体。以化石为基础的经济向氢经济转变的一个主要障碍是需要解决包括氢的储存在内的一些挑战。现有的常规气体储存系统和低温液体储存系统不安全、重量大、成本高,不能满足未来氢经济性的要求。化学或物理结合的材料在储存方面具有潜在的优势。为了提高催化剂的加氢性能,人们进行了深入的研究。在本论文中,我们研究了铪和锂化学键合氢储存氢的动力学。对于HfH2团簇,不同的大小从5-30被研究去调查它们的行为。此外,对于LiH纳米团簇,还研究了不同尺寸范围团簇的性质,以观察这些团簇的行为。在固态储氢方面,（HfH2）团簇由于具有较高的储氢容量、较低的成本以及原子间的相互作用等优点被认为是一种很有前途的候选材料。用密度泛函理论研究了（HfH2）n团簇的结构和电子性质。DFT计算发现Hf原子占据中心位置,H原子倾向于占据顶点。通过稳定性分析,计算得到的（HfH2）n团簇的结合能和二阶能差从（HfH2）5增加到（HfH2）30。电荷密度分布和Bader分析结果也揭示了 Hf与H原子间的离子键合特征,并观察到电子从Hf向H原子的转移。我们还计算了 Hf和H原子相互作用的轨道重叠贡献,以了解键合强度。此外,在密度泛函理论（DFT）框架下结合人工蜂群算法对（LiH）n团簇的结构和电子性质进行了第一性原理计算。结构分析表明,随着团簇尺寸的增大,锂原子占据中心位置,氢原子在顶点位置包围,结构形状趋于非晶态。Li与H的键长为1.77-2.01 A,与之前的研究一致。通过稳定性分析,从n=5到n=25,计算得到的LiH团簇的形成能和内聚能增加。通过对投影态密度（PDOS）的计算和分析,深入了解了电子结构。电荷密度分布和DDEC6分析结果揭示了锂和氢原子间的离子键合特征,电荷密度差分析得出锂原子上的电子向氢原子转移。
