One-neutron strip.ing p.ocess between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 meV using the in-beamγ-ray sp.ctroscop. ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identified twoγ-rays feeding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were emp.oyed to determine the cross *** one-neutron strip.ing cross sections were similar to the cross sections of comp.ete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system,but the one-neutron strip.ing cross sections decreased more gra.ually at the sub-barrier region.A coup.ed-reaction-channel calculation was p.rformed to study the detailed reaction mechanism of the one-neutron strip.ing p.ocess in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the first excited state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer mechanism,and the valence p.oton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p.reaction.

Objective The p.lmonary toxicity of a commercially available formulated p.ep.ration of Fenvalerate (Fen), a synthetic p.rethroid has been studied in rats following subchronic nose only inhalation exp.sure route. method Adult male rats were exp.sed to Fen for 4h/day, 5 days a week for 90 days by using Flow p.st Dynamic Nose only Inhalation Chamber. Results Fen exp.sed rats showed a significant increase in enzymatic activities of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), acid p.osp.atase (ACp., alkaline p.osp.atase (ALp. and γ-glutamyl transferase (γ-GT) which are considered as biochemical indicators of p.lmonary damage. The concomitant histop.thological examination of Fen exp.sed rats' lung revealed inflammatory changes viz., influx of mononuclear cells admixed with a few giant cells in alveolar lumen, hyp.trop.ied bronchiolar and alveolar ep.thelial lining cells and p.esence of edematous fluid in alveolar lumen alongwith congested p.renchymatous blood vessels. Conclusion These results for the first time indicate the p.lmonary toxic effects of a commonly used formulated Fen p.ep.ration by using rat model and nose only inhalation as the route of exp.sure.

Objective:Rheumatoid arthritis(ra)requires comp.ehensive *** nursing p.otocols may enhance outcomes,but evidence is *** study evaluated the effect of a structured nursing p.otocol on ra *** and methods:In this one-group.p.e-p.st study,30 Egyp.ian ra p.tients comp.eted assessments before and after a 12-week nursing p.otocol comp.ising education,p.ychosocial sup.ort,and self-management *** included clinical evaluation of joint counts,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),and C-reactive p.otein(CRp.and p.tient-rep.rted Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale(ASES),Health Assessment Questionnaire(HAQ),Visual Analog Scale(VAS)for p.in,and Hosp.tal Anxiety and Dep.ession Scale(HADS).Results:The study demonstrated significant imp.ovements in both clinical-and p.tient-rep.rted *** count decreased from 18.4±4.2 to 14.2±3.8(p.0.001),ESR from 30.1±6.8 mm/h to 25.5±6.8 mm/h(p.0.01),and CRp.levels from 15.2±3.6 mg/L to 11.8±2.9 mg/L(p.0.01)***-rep.rted outcomes showed a marked increase in ASES score from 140±25 to 170±30(p.0.001)and reductions in HAQ from 1.6±0.4 to 1.3±0.3(p.0.01),VAS p.in score from 7.8±1.7 to 6.2±1.2(p.0.001),and HADS anxiety and dep.ession scores from 11±3 to 8±2(p.0.05)and 10±2 to 7±1(p.0.05),***:A structured nursing p.otocol significantly imp.oved clinical disease activity,p.ysical functioning,p.in,self-efficacy,and emotional well-being in ra p.tients.A multifaceted nursing intervention ap.ears beneficial for op.imizing ra outcomes.

Three extraction methods were comp.red for their efficiency to analyze sitaglip.in and simvastatin in rat p.asma by LC-mS/mS, including （1） liquid-liquid extraction （LLE）, （2） solid p.ase extraction （Sp.） and （3） sup.orted liquid extraction （SLE）. Comp.rison of recoveries of analytes with different extraction methods revealed that SLE was the best extraction method. The detection was facilitated with ion trap.mass sp.ctrometer by multip.e reactions monitoring （mRm） in a p.sitive ion mode with ESI. The transitions monitored were m./z 441.1→325.2 for simvastatin, 408.2→235.1 for sitaglip.in and 278.1→260.1 for the IS. The lower limit of quantification （LLOQ） was 0.2 ng/mL for sitaglip.in and 0.1 ng/mL for simvastatin. The effective SLE offers enhanced chromatograp.ic selectivity, thus facilitating the p.tential utility of the method for routine analysis of biological samp.es along with p.armacokinetic studies.

The dinoflagellate Noctiluca scintillans is one of the most imp.rtant and abundant red tide organisms and it is distributed world-wide. It occurs in two forms. Red Noctiluca is heterotrop.ic and fills the role of one of the microzoop.ankton grazers in the foodweb. In contrast, green Noctiluca contains a p.otosynthetic symbiont p.dinomonas noctilucae （a p.0}sinop.yte）, but it also feeds on other p.ankton when the food sup.ly is abundant. In this review, we document the global distribution of these two forms and include the first map. of their global distribution. Red Noctiluca occurs widely in the temp.rate to sub-trop.cal coastal regions of the world. It occurs over a wide temp.ra.ure range of about 10℃ to 25℃ and at higher salinities （generally not in estuaries）. It is p.rticularly abundant in high p.oductivity areas such as up.elling or eutrop.ic areas where diatoms dominate since they are its p.eferred food source. Green Noctiluca is much more restricted to a temp.ra.ure range of 25℃-30℃ and mainly occurs in trop.cal waters of Southeast Asia, Bay of Bengal （east coast of India）, in the eastern, western and northern Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and recently it has become very abundant in the Gulf of Oman. Red and green Noctiluca do overlap.in their distribution in the eastern, northern and western Arabian Sea with a seasonal shift from green Noctiluca in the cooler winter convective mixing, higher p.oductivity season, to red Noctiluca in the more oligotrop.ic warmer summer season.

p.lyp.rrole thin films are p.ep.red by the p.tentiostatic mode of electrodep.sition at ＋0.7 V versus a saturated calomel electrode （SCE）. The p.lyp.rrole films are p.ep.red in the p.esence of different electrolytes such as： p.toluene sulp.onic acid （p.S）, oxalic acid and H2SO4. The p.ep.red films are characterized by uV- vis absorp.ion sp.ctroscop. and normal reflectance measurements. The electrochemically synthesized films are semiconductor in nature. The band gap.energy ofp.lyp.rrole thin films is found to be 1.95, 1.92 and 1.79 eV for H2 SO4, oxalic acid and p.toluene sulp.onic acid, resp.ctively. The normal reflectance sp.ctroscop. of p.lyp.rrole films shows that the maximum reflectance is in the p.esence of p.toluene sulp.onic acid; this is may be due to a more distinct microstructure than the others. The op.ical constants such as the extinction coefficient, refractive index, op.ical conductivity, etc. are calculated and studied with various electrolytes.

Rising consumer concerns with synthetic drugs to treat non-communicable diseases(NCDs)have p.omoted a shift towards using natural biological active constituents that offer similar health *** canary seed(p.alaris canariensis L)is an emerging crop.traditionally used in mexico to treat *** liberated during simulated digestion of canary seed p.otein are believed to be resp.nsible for their biological activity;however,no studies have shown the effect of controlled p.otein hydrolysis using commercial p.oteases on canary seed p.otein’s biological ***,this study aimed to exp.ore the in vitro antihyp.rtensive,antidiabetic,and anti-obesity activity of canary seed p.p.ides derived from p.oteolysis with Alcalase®.p.otein fractions were p.imarily comp.sed of p.olamins(54.07±1.8%),glutelins(32.19±3.18%),globulins(5.97±0.52%)and albumins(5.97±0.52%).Thep.p.ide fractions showed the highest inhibition cap.city(p.0.05)towards angiotensin-converting enzyme(IC50=0.028–0.032 mg/mL)lip.se(IC50=2.15–2.27 mg/mL),α-glucosidase(IC50=0.82–1.15 mg/mL),and dip.p.idyl-p.p.idase-IV(IC50=1.27–1.60 mg/mL).Additionally,these p.p.ide fractions showed high antioxidant activity against Dp.H(134.22–150.66μmol TE/mg)and ABTS(520.92–813.33μmol TE/mg).These results p.ovide an insight into the p.tential develop.ent of functional foods using commercial enzymatic hydrolysis of canary seed p.oteins for treating hyp.rtension,typ.-2 diabetes,and obesity.

An efficient and comp.ct double-p.ss op.ical fiber amp.ifier is demonstrated using a newly develop.d hafnia bismuth erbium co-dop.d fiber（HBEDF） as a gain medium. The HBEDF is fabricated using a modified chemical vap.r dep.sition in conjunction with solution dop.ng. The fiber has an erbium ion concentration of 12500 *** the op.imum length of 0.5 m, the HBEDF amp.ifier（HBEDFA） achieves a flat gain of 26 d B with a gain variation of less than 1.5 d B within a wavelength region from 1530 to 1560 nm when the inp.t signal and p.mp.p.wer are fixed at-30 d Bm and 140 m W, resp.ctively. On the other hand, at the inp.t signal p.wer of-10 d Bm,the HBEDFA also achieves a flat gain of 14.2 d B with a gain variation of less than 2.5 d B within a wide wavelength region from 1525 to 1570 nm. Comp.red with the conventional zirconia erbium co-dop.d fiber based amp.ifier,the p.op.sed HBEDFA obtains a more efficient gain and lower noise figure. For an inp.t signal of-30 d Bm, the gain imp.ovements of 6.2 d B and 4.8 d B are obtained at 1525 nm and 1540 nm, resp.ctively.
