Weakened carbon and nitrogen metabolisms under post-silking heat stress reduce the yield and dry matter accumulation in waxy maize

Post-silking high temperature is one of the abiotic factors that affects waxy maize(Zea mays L. sinensis Kulesh) growth in southern China. We conducted a pot trial in 2016–2017 to study the effects of post-silking da.time heat stress(35°C) on the activities of enzymes involved in leaf carbon and nitrogen metabolisms and leaf reactive oxygen species(ROS) and water contents. This study could improve our understanding on dry matter accumulation and translocation and grain yield production. Results indicated that decreased grain number and weight under heat stress led to yield loss, which decreased by 20.8 and 20.0% in 2016 and 2017, respectively. High temperature reduced post-silking dry matter accumulation(16.1 and 29.5% in 2016 and 2017, respectively) and promoted translocation of pre-silking photoassimilates stored in vegetative organs, especially in leaf. The lower leaf water content and chlorophyll SPAD value, and higher ROS(H2O2 and O2^-·) content under heat stress conditions indicated accelerated senescent rate. The weak activities of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase(PEPCase), Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase(Ru BPCase), nitrate reductase(NR), and glutamine synthase(GS) indicated that leaf carbon and nitrogen metabolisms were suppressed when the plants suffered from a high temperature during grain filling. Correlation analysis results indicated that the reduced grain yield was mainly caused by the decreased leaf water content, weakened NR activity, and increased H2O2 content. The increased accumulation of grain weight and post-silking dry matter and the reduced translocation amount in leaf was mainly due to the increased chlorophyll SPAD value and NR activity. Reduced PEPCase and Ru BPCase activities did not affect dry matter accumulation and translocation and grain yield. The Analysis of Model on Population Growth with Stage-structure in the Polluted Environment

In this paper, the authors considered a single-species model with stage-structure in a polluted ecological environment. Subject to the outside toxin input quantity being stable, the authors established the sufficient conditions under which the species will be permanent using Lyapunov method. At the same time biological implications briefly of these results are discussed.

目的构建类教育玩具的游戏任务结构对学习功效的实现具有非常重要的影响。对构建类教育玩具游戏任务的结构类型进行分析,有利于厘清游戏任务的布局规律,为设计合理的、承载优良学习理念的构建类教育玩具提供了重要参考。方法围绕目前主流的学习理论及其与学习工具之间的关系进行梳理,在此基础上对构建类教育玩具游戏任务的主要结构类型进行逐一分析。结论在形式纷繁的构建类教育玩具的游戏任务中,其内部结构可依据相关学习理论的内涵归结为“单线型游戏任务结构”“多线归一型游戏任务结构”“多线开放型游戏任务结构”“建构型游戏任务结构”4种类型,它们分别适配于不同的游戏化学习目标,其价值可在构建类教育玩具的“外形”“连接”“功能”3个设计维度上得到集中体现。

目的探讨腹腔镜右半结肠癌根治术中闭合系膜裂隙对围手术期的影响。方法采用前瞻性随机对照研究方法。选取2022年11月至2023年8月中国医科大学附属第一医院等全国11家医学中心收治的320例行腹腔镜右半结肠癌根治术患者的临床资料,按照区组随机化法将患者分为系膜裂隙非闭合组和系膜裂隙闭合组。观察指标:(1)入组患者分组情况。(2)术中情况。(3)术后情况。偏态分布的计量资料以M(Q_(1),Q_(3))表示,组间比较采用Mann-WhitneyU检验。计数资料以绝对数或百分比表示,组间比较采用χ^(2)检验或Fisher确切概率法。等级资料比较采用秩和检验。疼痛视觉模拟量表(VAS)评分比较采用广义估计方程分析。结果(1)入组患者分组情况。筛选出符合研究条件的结肠癌患者320例;男156例,女164例;年龄为68(59,73)岁。320例患者随机分配至系膜裂隙非闭合组164例和系膜裂隙闭合组156例。两组患者年龄、体质量指数、美国麻醉医师协会评分、肿瘤最大径、吻合位置、吻合方式、手术入路方式、淋巴结清扫范围、肿瘤分期比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);性别比较,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。系膜裂隙非闭合组3例患者中转开腹;系膜裂隙闭合组1例患者中转开腹。系膜裂隙闭合组2例患者发生术中并发症均为肠系膜血肿。(3)术后情况。两组患者术后总并发症比较,差异无统计学意义(χ^(2)=0.28,P>0.05);其中肠梗阻、腹胀、腹腔积液、胸腔积液、胃瘫、吻合口出血、吻合口漏、手术部位感染比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。两组患者再次手术、术后重置胃管比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);术后首次肛门排气时间、术后首次进食流质食物时间、术后首次肛门排便时间、术后住院时间、总住院费用比较,差异均无统计学意义(Z=-0.01,0.43,1.04,-0.54,-0.36,P>0.05)。系膜裂隙非闭合组1例患者行再次手术。两组患者围手术期均未发生腹内疝和死亡。两组患者术后VAS评分均随时间变化而降低,但VAS评分比较,差异无统计学意义[β=-0.20(-0.53,0.13),P>0.05]。结论与闭合系膜裂隙比较,腹腔镜右半结肠癌根治术中不闭合系膜裂隙未增加围手术期并发症及术后管理风险。

Spinal lipomas are benign tumors that are usually divided into extradural and intradural types. In all, 60% are located intradurally and 40% are located extradurally. The most common spinal lipomas are known to be associated with dysraphism in the lumbosacral region. We present a rare case of a posterior mediastinal, intraspinal, intradural, intramedullary lipoma through a Kovalevsky canal combined with the thilure of multiple segments from T3 to T6 in the thoracic spine.

Placement of a Jejunal Feeding Tube via an Ultrasound-Guided Antral Progressive Water Injection Method

Background： Jejunal feeding tube allows the nutrition of critical care patients more easy and safe. However, its placement remains a challenge. This study aimed to introduce a jejunal feeding tube through an ultrasound-guided antral progressive water injection method and subsequently to examine its efficacy. Methods： Between April 2016 and April 2017, 54 patients hospitalized in the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China who needed nutritional support through a jejunal feeding tube were recruited for this study. Patients who applied ultrasound-guided antral progressive water injection method were classified into the experimental group. Patients who applied conventional method were registered as control group. Results： No significant differences were found in age, body mass index, and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation score, but a significant difference in operation time was found between the experimental group and the control group. Of the 24 individuals in the control group, 17 displayed clear catheter sound shadows once the tube entered the esophagus. In comparison, of the 30 individuals in the experimental group, all harbored catheter sound shadows through the esophageal gas injection method. Subsequent observation revealed that in the control group （via ultrasonographic observation）, 15 individuals underwent successthl antral tube entry, for a success rate of 63%. In the experimental group （via antral progressive water injection）, 27 individuals underwent successful antral tube entry, for a success rate of 90%. There was a significant difference between the success rates of the two groups （x2 = 5.834, P= 0.022）. Conclusion： The antral progressive water injection method for the placement of a jejunal feeding tube is more effective than the traditional ultrasonic placement method.
