Effect of Natural Phytogenic Extract herbs on Physiological Status and Carcass Traits of Broiler Chickens

This paper was conducted to monitor the effect of mixed essential oils (AROMIX@) as phytogenic extract herbs administration in drinking water on growth performance, hematological, biochemical, immunological statuses and carcass traits of broiler chickens. A total number of 240 unsexed broiler chicks (Cobb-500) strain, were randomly divided to four equal groups, 60 chicks each at seven days of age. The first group drank tap water (control), the second, third and fourth group were drank the same water, adding 1 ml AROMIX@per 5, 10 and 15 liter tap water, respectively for 5 week of age. It was cleared from the results that there was a significant improve in feed conversion ratio, red and white blood cell counts, total protein, albumin, globulin, calcium, inorganic phosphorus and a relative reduction in the liver enzymes but in the normal range. however, it was observed that mix essential oils have no significant impact on carcass organs. high levels of the vital parameters, low levels of hepatic enzymes showed that birds health was good and relative improvement in immune system. The relative improvement of the absorption of minerals such as calcium and inorganic phosphorus to the positive role of essential oils. Administration in drank water was occasion, a regular activity of hepatic enzymes which can evidence safety and hepato-protective nature of these oils. Therefore, it is cleared from the results that the addition of these extract herbs in drinking water enhances the health meat, performance and physiological status of broiler chicks, which helps to obtain healthy meat and suitable for human consumption.

Using Environmentally Friendly hydrogels to Alleviate the Negative Impact of Drought on Plant

The use of natural hydrogels in agriculture provides solutions to many problems without threatening the environment. This study aims to evaluate the potential impact of environmentally friendly hydrogels (pectin, starch and pectin + starch) in reducing the negative effects of drought stress on tomato yield and quality. Two different peels (orange peel and banana peel) are used to prepare environmentally friendly hydrogels. The water retention efficiency of hydrogels has been studied. Greenhouse experiment for tomato under drought stress was conducted during 2019. These hydrogels were used under several level of irrigation (100%, 75%, and 50% FC), soil without hydrogel was used as a control. The results showed that the eco-friendly hydrogels (starch, pectin, and pectin + starch) had capacity retention of water for a long time. The obtained data from the greenhouse experiment showed that the eco-friendly hydrogel showed a positive effect on retention of water and increase the soil moisture content compared to control. The highest increase was observed at pectin + starch treatment. This increase reached to 2.8-, 2.4- and 2.0-fold for 100%, 75% and 50% FC compared to the control. Eco- family:"">friendly hydrogel application under different drought conditions led to improve yield and quality of tomato fruits. Moreover, conversion of agricultural wastes to hydrogels and the use of these eco-friendly materials instead of synthetic hydrogels are necessary to utilize the limited natural resources and decrease the harmful impact of agricultural wastes on the environment and pave the way for the transition to a sustainable agriculture system.

Nephroprotective Effect of <i>Nigella Sativa</i>and <i>Matricaria Chamomilla</i>in Cisplatin Induced Renal Injury—Supportive Treatments in Cisplatin Nephrotoxicity

Nigella sativa and Matricaria chamomilla are extensively consumed as tea or tonic. Despite their widespread use as a home remedy, relatively few trials evaluated their benefits in nephroprotection. hence, this study evaluates the nephroprotective effects of supportive treatments (N. sativa, M. chamomilla and vitamin E) in cisplatin nephrotoxicity rat model. Eighty rats divided into 10 groups, of 8 animals each. The first group (G1) injected with saline intra-pretoneal (i.p). G2 injected with 5 mg/kg cisplatin i.p on zero day of experiment and repeated 4 times, with 5 days free interval. G3-G10 received daily supportive treatments, started 5 days before the experiment (–5day). Concomitantly G4, G6, G8 and G10 injected with 5 mg/kg cisplatin i.p like G2. On day sixteen, animal scarified, serum and/or kidney tissue were used to determine kidney function tests (serum urea, creatinine, NAG, β-gal), oxidative stress indices (NO, LPO), antioxidant activities (SOD), sulphur compounds (GGT, GSh, total thiols ), apoptotic indices (cathepsin D, DNA fragmentation), two minerals (Ca2+ and zn2+). Cisplatin caused marked elevation in serum GGT that reduced signifi-cantly in group received M. chamomilla with cisplatin (P here is a correlation between GGT and NAG in cisplatin group (r = 0.731 p hat may suggest one of possible mechanisms of renal injury by cisplatin. M. chamomilla followed by N. sativa and vitamin E improved the biochemical and pathological renal injury, as determined by increasing the body weight, normalizing the kidney functions, decreasing the oxidative stress markers, improving the apoptotic markers, minimizing the pathological changes. hence, N. sativa and M. chamomilla will be a promising nephroprotective agents for reducing cisplatin nephrotoxicity, most probably, by antioxidants effects and inhibition GGT production, respectively.

Extraction equilibria and kinetics of Ti(Ⅳ)from leached chloride liquors of ilmenite

Extraction of titanium（Ⅳ）from real chloride leach liquor of ilmenite was carried out with 0.1 mol L^（-1）di-（2-ethylhexyl）phosphoric acid（hDEhP）in *** and kinetics studies for Ti（Ⅳ）were carried out in the presence of impurities that were leached with Ti（Ⅳ）.Parameters affecting extraction rate of Ti（Ⅳ）from chloride media in the presence of Fe（Ⅲ）,Mg（Ⅱ）,and Al（Ⅲ）were studied to evaluate the stoichiometry of extracted Ti（Ⅳ）*** is found that the extraction rate of Ti（Ⅳ）is dependent on the extractant concentration and ph of *** the optimum conditions,more than 95%Ti（Ⅳ）can be *** the basis of slope analysis method,the extracted species of Ti（Ⅳ）appears to be[TiO（h_2A_2）_2]_（org）,where h_2A_2 refers to ***,the kinetic studies of the extraction process of Ti（Ⅳ）and other metal ion impurities were carried out by a Lewis cell with a constant interfacial area of 16.7 cm^*** of the experimental results suggests that TiO^（2＋）extraction rate by hDEhP is the first with respect to hydrogen ion concentration and hDEhP *** results are interpreted by a reaction mechanism where the extraction process is controlled by a diffusion process at the interface rather than in the bulk phase.

Genotypic characterization of helicobacter pylori isolates among Egyptian patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases

Objective： Over 50% of the world populations are infected with helicobacter pylori （h. pylori）. Most subjects are asymptomatic; however, in 1994, h. pylori has been categorized as group I carcinogen. The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between h. pylori infection and gastric cancer. Methods： Thirty gastric cancer patients （GCs） and 30 gastritis patients were enrolled in the study. h. pylori was cultured on non-selective and selective medias, infection density was assessed by quantitative culture. Antibiotic sensitivity testing was performed. PCR was done for the h. pylori 16S rRNA gene in addition to cagA, vacA and iceA genes. Results： h. pylori could be cultured from 100% of specimens obtained from all patients. The density of h. pylori was higher in cancer cases than in gastritis patients. The 16S rRNA was detected in all GC patients （100%） while it was only detected in 70% of gastritis patients. The cagA gene was found in 53.3% vs 13.3% of GC and gastritis patients, respectively. The vacA gene was present in all GC patients （by at least one of its alleles） while it was only found in 33.3% of gastritis patients. The vacA slml combination was the most predominant genotype in GC patients, while m2 was the commonest allele in gastritis patients （10%）. The iceA gene was found in 86.7% vs 40% of GC and gastritis patients, respectively. Simultaneous presence of multiple h. pyiori strains was proved, both phenotypically and genotypically. Conclusion： The development of GC is linked to infection with h. pylori harboring certain virulence genes. higher infection density of h. pylori was found in GC patients. Co-existence of more than one strain of h. pylori in the same patient occurs in both malignant and benign lesions.

The Possible Role of the Incretin Enhancer Sitaglipten, in Renal Ischemic Reperfusion Injury in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) especially type 2 is a major health problem and diabetic nephropathy is the main cause of end stage renal disease (ESRD). Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is common in diabetic patients. Recent studies reported increased vulnerability of kidneys to I/R injury in diabetic rats. In view of the reported efficacy of incretin enhancer on I/R injury. Aim: This study was designed to assess the effect of sitaglipten on renal I/R in type 2 diabetes mellitus . Methods: Type 2 DM in rats were induced by administration of nicotinamide (230 mg/kg, i.p.), 15 min prior to the single dose of streptozotocin (65 mg/kg, i.p.). Renal I/R were performed in both diabetic and normal rats. Results: The lipid peroxidation, xanthine oxidase activity, and nitric oxide levels were significantly increased after I/R in diabetic rats compared to I/R in normal rats. Antioxidant enzymes such as glutathione, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase were significantly reduced after I/R in diabetic rats compared to normal rats. Sitaglipten treatment significantly normalized these biochemical parameters compared to diabetic I/R rats. Serum TNF-α level and myeloperoxidase activity were also significantly normalized after administration of sitaglipten. Furthermore, treatment with sitaglipten (10 mcg/kg) had preserved the normal morphology of the kidney compared to I/R performed in diabetic rats. Conclusion: Sitaglipten protects exaggerated renal I/R injury in type 2 DM. These findings have major implication in the treatment of ischemic injury that is prone to develop in DM.

桃仁中油和蛋白质的含量分别为54.5％和27.5％,灰分和碳水化合物含量很低。总脂类中含有98％甘油三酸酯;甾醇和极性脂类分别为0.41％和1.1％。脂肪酸组成主要为油酸(63.8％)、亚油酸(15.4％);饱和脂肪酸为20.7％。脱脂粉呈现良好的吸油和乳化特性, 但是吸水作用和发泡能力较低。在酸性和碱性两种ph下蛋白质的溶解度都高;在ph4.3情况下,溶解度最低。清蛋白是蛋白质的主要组成成份(占60％);其次为非蛋白质氮(17％)、球蛋白和谷蛋白组分为9.5％和8.2％、醇溶谷蛋白仅为6.0％。胃—胰蛋白酶对蛋白质消化力最高, 而胰蛋白酶消化率最低。蛋白质富含赖氨酸、亮氨酸、异亮氨酸、缬氨酸、苏氨酸、以及碱性和酸性氨基酸,但是蛋氨酸缺乏。聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳分析(PAGE)表明,由不同迁移率分离出五条谱带,它们含有高和低的两种分子量的蛋白质。

Effects of cucumber mosaic virus-infected chilli plants on non-vector Bemisia tabaci (hemiptera Aleyrodidae)

Plant virus infections are known to alter host plant attractiveness and suitability for insect *** study was conducted to determine how cucumber mosaic virus (CMV)-infected chilli plants affect the fitness and settling preferences ofnonvector whitefly,Bemisia tabaci adults under dual-choice conditions with volatile organic compounds analyzed using solid phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).Results showed that the presence of CIVIV in chilli plants substantially affects the settling preferences of the ***,which preferred to settle on noninfected *** of the egg stage and the longevity and fecundity of adult *** on CMV-infected chilli plants were not markedly different from those on noninfected chilli *** contrast,the developmental time from egg to adult was significantly reduced in CMV-infected chilli plants compared to the noninfected *** results also showed that CMV-infected chilli plants released significantly more linalool and phenylacetaldehyde than noninfected ***,it was suggested that the behavioral response of *** might be modified by CMV-infected plants,which alter the release of specific headspace *** on these results,the modification of plant volatile profiles may help in enhancing the effectiveness of biological control and the protection of crop plants against ***.

Fuzzy P &O Maximum Power Point Tracking Algorithm for a Stand-Alone Photovoltaic System Feeding hybrid Loads

The photovoltaic (PV) generator exhibits a nonlinear current-voltage (I-V) characteristic that its maximum power point (MPP) varies with solar insolation. In this paper, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method using fuzzy logic control (FLC) is presented. This method is based on the concept of perturbation and observation (P & O) algorithm to track the MPP of a stand-alone PV system. The controller is used to maximize the power generated by the PV array and the simulation of the system is implemented in MATLAB. Simulation results are compared with those obtained by the conventional P & O controller. Results show that the FLC gives better and more reliable control for the stand-alone PV system feeding hybrid loads.
