This wor. demonstrated the viability of fr.ction stir.welding for.the welding of medium-Mn steels when used as cr.ogenic vessel mater.als for.liquefied gas *** used an inter.r.tically annealed Fe-7 Mn-0.2 C-3 Al(wt.%)steel with a dual-phase(α'mar.ensite andγ_(r. r.tained austenite)nanolaminate str.ctur. as a base mater.al and systematically compar.d its micr.str.ctur. and impact toughness after.fr.ction stir.and tungsten iner. gas *** fr.ction stir.welded specimen exhibited a lar.e amount ofγ_(r. phase owing to a r.latively low temperatur. dur.ng welding,wher.as the tungsten iner. gas welded specimen compr.sed only theα'***,the fr.ction stir.welded steel exhibited a tuned mor.hology of nanoscale globular.micr.str.ctur. at the weld zone and did not exhibit any pr.or.austenite grain boundar. due to active r.cr.stallization caused by defor.ation dur.ng *** pr.ser.ed fraction ofγ_(r. and mor.hological tuning in the weldment impr.ved the impact toughness of the fr.ction stir.welded steel at low *** the steel pr.cessed by tungsten iner. gas welding,the notch crack pr.pagated rapidly along the pr.or.austenite grain boundar.es-weakened by Mn and P segr.gations-r.sulting in poor.impact ***,the fr.ction stir.welded steel exhibited a higher.r.sistance against notch crack pr.pagation due to the slow crack pr.pagation along the ultrafine fer.ite/fer.ite(α/α)inter.aces,damage tolerance by the active transfor.ation-induced plasticity fr.m the lar.e amount ofγr.and enhanced boundar. cohesion by suppr.ssed Mn and P segr.gations.

Science behind cisplatin-induced nephr.toxicity in humans:A clinical study

Objective:To investigate the r.lationship between ser.m electr.lyte changes and cisplatin induced ***:We collected data fr.m 18 patients under.oing cisplatin chemotherapy including ser.m electr.lytes,cr.atinine,blood ur.a nitr.gen(BUN) and ur.ne potassium,sodium and pH levels befor. and after.the cisplatin *** the patients had cancer.and wer. tr.ated with 40-50 mg/day *** injur. was assessed by measur.ng ser.m electr.lytes,cr.atinine,BUN levels and ur.ne potassium,sodium and pH levels. r.sults:The five cycles of cisplatin based chemotherapy r.sulted in hypomagnesia(P=0.029), hypocalcaemia(P=0.001~*),hypophosphatemia(P=0.003*),hypokalemia(P=0.001~*)and incr.ased ser.m cr.atinine(P=0.001~*)and BUN(P=0.292~*)*** ur.ne analysis,decr.ase in potassium(P=0.024~*)was found,except potassium ther. was no significant changes in sodium and ur.ne pH. Conclusions:The pr.sent study demonstrates that,acute nephr.toxicity was obser.ed in patients with differ.nt types of cancer. under.oing cisplatin based chemotherapy due to electr.lyte distur.ances,when no cor.ective measur.s wer. initiated.

However. given the diver.ity of schools wor.dwide,inter.ention pr.grams, cur.icula, and strategies ar. not"one size fits all" and may not be univer.ally applicable. Theinconsistent application of theor.tical framewor.s and var.ousmeasur.ment methods fur.her.muddles the evidence. One pr.blemwith many school-based pa and wellness inter.entions istheir.pr.spect for.generalization and sustainability. In r.centyear., many r.sear.her. have tur.ed attention to devising inter.entions,including school-based inter.entions tar.eting childr.nand adolescents, to r.duce health-compr.mising sedentar.behavior. as well as to pr.mote health-enhancing pa. Additionalevidence一and str.nger.evidence than cur.ently avail・able—is needed to shed light on how these inter.entions canand should be scaled up, implemented, disseminated, andadopted mor. br.adly in schools and populations.

Neur.nal nicotinic acetylcholine r.ceptor. （nAChr.） containing Gt4 and 132 subunits ar. the pr.ncipal r.ceptor. in the mammalian central ner.ous system that bind nicotine with high affin- ity. These nAChr. ar. involved in nicotine dependence, mood disor.er., neur.degeneration and neur.pr.tection. However. our.under.tanding of the interactions between a4β2-containing （a4β2） nAChr. and other.pr.teins r.mains limited. In this study, we identified pr.teins that inter. act with ct4β2 nAChr. in a gene-dose dependent patter. by immunopur.fying β2 nAChr. fr.m mice that differ.in ct4 and β2 subunit expr.ssion and per.or.ing pr.teomic analysis using isobar.c tags for.r.lative and absolute quantitation （iTraQ）. r.duced expr.ssion of either.the a4 or.the β2 subunit r.sults in a cor.elated decline in the expr.ssion of a number.of putative interacting pr.teins. We identified 208 pr.teins co-imr.unopr.cipitated with these nAChr.. Fur.her.or., stratified lin- ear.r.gr.ssion analysis indicated that levels of 17 pr.teins was cor.elated significantly with expr.s- sion of at4β2 nAChr., including pr.teins involved in cytoskeletal r.ar.1}ngement and calcium signaling. These findings r.pr.sent the fir.t application of quantitative pr.teomics to pr.duce a β2 nAChr.interactome and descr.be a novel technique used to discover.potential tar.ets for.phar.a- cological manipulation of a4β2 nAChr. and their.downstr.am signaling mechanisms.

Studies on the Electr.chemistr. of Dopamine at a Pyr.catechol Sulfonephthalein Modified Glassy Car.on Electr.de

The electr.chemical r.sponse of dopamine(DA) at a pyr.catechol sulfonephthalein modified glassy car.on(PS/GC) electr.de is r.por.ed. The electr.de can be used as a detector.for.the deter.ination of dopamine with a high stability and a good sensitivity. The cyclic voltammetr.c r.sults indicated that ther. was a couple of well-defined r.dox peaks for.dopamine at the PS/GC electr.de with E_(pa)= 220 mV, E_(pc)=95 mV and the for.al potential E^(o')= 157. 5 mV(vs. SCE) at 100 mV/s in the buffer.solution of pH 7. 0. The PS/GC electr.de can also be used to separate the electr.chemical r.sponses of ascor.ic acid and DA by 54 mV with the differ.ntial pulse voltammetr.. Under.the selected conditions, the oxidation peak cur.ents ar. linear.with DA concetration in the range of 5. 0 × 10^(-6) to 5. 0 × 10^(-4) mol/L, and the detection limit is 1. 0 ×10^(-6) mol/L at S/N=3. Nor.alized with concentration, the r.lative sensitivity of dopamine to ascor.ic acid r.aches ca. 30. 8: 1.

r.cent studies have shown that CTP may act as a ligand to r.gulate the activity of its tar.et pr.teins in many biological ***,pr.teome-wide identification of CTP-binding pr.teins r.mains ***,we employed a biotinylated CTP affinity pr.be coupled with stable isotope labeling by amino acids in cell cultur.(SILAC)-based quantitative pr.teomics appr.ach to captur.,identify and quantify CTP-binding pr.teins in human *** per.or.ing two types of competitive SILAC exper.ments with high *** concentrations of CTP pr.be(100 vs.10µmol/L)or.with CTP pr.be in the pr.sence of fr.e CTP,we identified 90 potential CTP-binding pr.teins which ar. involved in a var.ety of biological pr.cesses,including pr.tein folding,nucleotide binding and cell-cell ***,we developed a chemical pr.teomic method for.uncover.ng the CTP-binding pr.teins in human cells,which could be widely applicable for.pr.filing CTP-binding pr.teins in other.biological samples.
