Inhibition of Proliferation of Prostate Cancer Cell Line DU-145 in vitro and in vivo Using Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge

Objective:To investigate the antiproliferative activity of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge.(SM)on the castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)cell line DU-145 in vitro and in ***:Prostate cancer cell line(DU-145)and normal prostate cell line(RWPE-1)were treated with SM at different concentrations(3.125,12.5,25 and 50μg/mL)to investigate the antiproliferative *** laddering analysis was performed to investigate the apoptosis of DU-145 *** mechanism was investigated by Western blot analysis of p53,Bcl-2,prostate specific antigen(PSA),and androgen receptor(AR).Six-week-old male BALB/c nude mice were randomly divided into normal control group(n=101)and treated group(n=101)which administered 500 mg/kg SM for 2 *** volumes were ***:Treatment with SM resulted in a dose-dependent decrease in cell number of DU-145 cells in comparison with *** laddering analysis indicated the apoptosis of DU-145 *** with SM increased the expression of p53 and reduced the expression of Bcl-2 *** levels of PSA were considerably reduced in SM-treated group compared to the controls,and a decrease in AR expression was observed when cells were treated with SM in the same pattern as a reduction in *** the tumour xenograft study,SM given once a day for 2 weeks significantly inhibited tumour ***:SM might contribute to the anticancer actions such as induction of apoptosis and inhibition of proliferation of prostate cancer cells.

Experimental Investigation of Fuel Quality and Contaminant Materials from Liquefied Petroleum Fuel

In this study, the quality characteristics and residue analysis in circulated LPG fuel were investigated experimentally in Korea. Quality characteristics in circulated LPG fuel were examined with samples of LPG in the supply chain (refinery, petrochemical, and imported LPG), transport, gas stations, and vehicles. the experimental results showed that quality of all circulated LPG was well within the quality standard guideline of LPG in Korea. Especially, it has shown average 13 wt ppm in sulfur content over the full circulated LPG. the residue samples in LPG fuel were extracted on 2 L scale with acetonitrile and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). the components of residues in LPG were composed of 62 organic chemicals with C3 ~ C28 and the main ingredients of residue were plasticizers ((di-octyl phalate (DOP), di-octyl adiphate (DOA) etc.), lubricant oil and amine compounds. It was also showed that mass of residue in vehicles was increasing compared with supply (refinery, petrochemical, and imported LPG). It was presumed that this residue had been originated from automotive LPG fuel, vehicle components, and lubricant oil in infrastructure.

Secure information retrieval is an essential task in today's highly digitised *** some applications,it may be necessary that user query's privacy and database content's security are *** these settings,symmetric private information retrieval(SPIR)could be employed,but its implementation is known to be demanding,requiring a private key-exchange network as the base ***,we report for the first time a realisation of provably-secure SPIR supported by a quantum-secure key-exchange *** SPIR scheme looks at biometric security,offering secure retrieval of 582-byte fingerprint files from a database with 800 *** experimental results clearly demonstrate the feasibility of SPIR with quantum secure communications,thereby opening up new possibilities in secure distributed data storage and cloud computinq over the future Quantum Internet.

Giant Aneurysmal Bone Cyst of the Right Femur about a Case

Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a rare bone tumor accounting for 1% - 4% of benign bone tumors. Its etiopathogenesis remains unknown. the main site is the metaphysis of the long bones. ABC occurs almost exclusively in young people, with a slight female predominance. We report an exceptional case of ABC of the femur with involvement of the right hip in a 16-year-old girl in the Medical Imaging Department of Pr Bocar Sidy Sall Hospital of Kati (Mali). We will discuss the clinical and radiological aspects of this pathology. Observation: Mrs n C., aged 16, was referred to the orthopaedic-traumatology department for an X-ray of the right thigh, indicated as having a large, disabling thigh. Clinical examination revealed a large thigh measuring 890 mm in circumference, compared with 300 mm on the contralateral side. radiographically, the femur showed a blown appearance, with the cortex thinned and broken in places. Exceptionally, the lesion affected the entire femur. On CT scan, we found a voluminous fluid collection occupying the entire right femur, including the right femoral head and homolateral ischium. the cortex was interrupted in places, and the adjacent soft tissues were thinned or laminated, but not infiltrated. Histology revealed haemorrhagic and inflammatory elements compatible with the diagnosis of ABC. Conclusion: ABC is a tumor entity that is often difficult to diagnose. Medical imaging, topographical distribution and histology form an indissociable whole to establish a diagnosis of certainty.

Effects of insulin and pathway inhibitors on the PI3K-Akt- mTOR phosphorylation profile in acute myeloid leukemia cells

the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)-Akt-mechanistic target of rapamycin(mTOR)pathway is constitutively activated in human acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells and is regarded as a possible therapeutic *** is an agonist of this pathway and a growth factor for AML *** characterized the effect of insulin on the phosphorylation of 10 mediators in the main track of the PI3K-Akt-mTOR pathway in AML cells from 76 consecutive *** overall results showed that insulin significantly increased the phosphorylation of all investigated ***,insulin effects on the pathway activation profile varied among patients,and increased phosphorylation in all mediators was observed only in a minority of patients;in other patients,insulin had divergent *** gene expression profiling and proteomic/phosphoproteomic comparisons suggested that AML cells from these two patient subsets differed with regard to AML cell differentiation,transcriptional regulation,RnA metabolism,and cellular *** insulin-induced phosphorylation was associated with weakened antiproliferative effects of metabolic ***3K,Akt,and mTOR inhibitors also caused divergent effects on the overall pathway phosphorylation profile in the presence of insulin,although PI3K and Akt inhibition caused a general reduction in Akt pT308 and 4EBP1 pT36/pT45 *** Akt inhibition,the phosphorylation of upstream mediators was generally increased or *** contrast,mTOR inhibition reduced mTOR pS2448 and S6 pS244 phosphorylation but increased Akt pT308 *** conclusion,the effects of both insulin and PI3K-Akt-mTOR inhibitors differ between AML patient subsets,and differences in insulin responsiveness are associated with differential susceptibility to metabolic targeting.

Severe Axonal Peripheral Polyneuropathy Revealing a Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: About One Case

Aim: We report a case of acute and severe sensorimotor peripheral polyneuropathy (with a severe motor damage) revealing a lupus. Case Presentation: A 48-year-old female patient was interned in rheumatology for a chronic polyarthritis. Four days after her hospitalisation, she was presenting a flask distal and proximal tetraparesia, with rapidly progressive installation. Electromyogram showed severe acute axonal sensorimotor polyneuropathy. the antinuclear antibody was positive as the anti-ds-DnA antibodies. the evolution has been unsatisfactory despite the high-dose corticotherapy and the immunosuppressor. Conclusion: Even if it is rare, peripheral neuropathy can be a lupus discovery circumstance.

Broadband perfect absorbers have been intensively researched for decades because of their near-perfect absorption optical property that can be applied to diverse applications. Unfortunately, achieving large-scale and heat-tolerant absorbers has been remained challenging work because of costly and time-consuming lithography methods and thermolability of materials, respectively. Here, we demonstrate a thermally robust titanium nitride broadband absorber with >95% absorption efficiency in the visible and near-infrared region (400–900 nm). A relatively large-scale (2.5 cm × 2.5 cm) absorber device is fabricated by using a fabrication technique of multiple-patterning colloidal lithography. the optical properties of the absorber are still maintained even after heating at the temperatures >600 ∘C. Such a large-scale, heat-tolerant, and broadband near-perfect absorber will provide further useful applications in solar thermophotovoltaics, stealth, and absorption controlling in high-temperature conditions.

Study of a Kit of GSM radio Operator Site for Event-Driven Movable Coverage: Application to the Deployment of a Site of the Orange Operator in Ivory Coast

the mobile communication is nowadays one of the basic needs of humanity. It is essential to the flourishing of human beings. Considering this reality, the need to use its mobile phone is become more important and diversified. the subscribers of the various mobile telephone operators are increasingly demanding. this situation poses the problems of the cover mobile network to the operators and leads them to opt for several solutions and investments. the mobile operators in order to satisfy their customers use a policy of pushing the limits of network coverage in time and space for festive moments in targeted zones. thus, we have conducted a study on the topic: study of a kit of GSM radio site for event-driven movable coverage. this work is applied to GSM (Global system mobile) network of the operator Orange-Ci, leader of mobile telephony in Ivory Coast. We thus proceeded under investigation initially of the various aspects of the ordinary sites (motionless radio site) which are already deployed with Orange-Ci in order to impregnate us infrastructures and equipment used. this study revealed us that a radio site comprises 4 parts: infrastructures, installations and energy equipments, installations and radio equipments, and installations and equipment of transmission. After the first analysis, we made a study of the movable site. the study of the movable site enabled us to see the various possible solutions to fulfill the basic functions of a movable radio site. After analysis we retained that our radio site will be built on a truck on which a mast of 25 m maximum length for the antennas will be embarked, it will be fed by a generator also embarked on the truck and the solution of transmission selected is the transmission by satellite more precisely technology VSAT. We choose the various equipments (radio, transmission, energy) according to features which we defined to constitute the kit of movable radio site.
