To examine rheumatoid arthritis ( RA ) patients hand MRI, including wrist and MCP joints and assess its role as a predictor of X - ray damage and bone loss. Ag-In intermetallic alloys were produced by using vacuum arc furnace. Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry(EDX) were used to determine the thermal properties and chemical composition of the phases respectively. Microhardness values of Ag-In intermetallics were calculated with Vickers hardness measurement method. According to the experimental results, Ag-34 wt%In intermetallic system generated the best results of energy saving and storage compared to other intermetallic systems. Also from the microhardness results, it was observed that intermetallic alloys were harder than pure silver and Ag-26 wt%In system had the highest microhardness value with 143.45 kg/mm^(2).

AIM:To investigate the effects of exogenous testosterone treatment on the choroidal parameters in patients with androgen ***:Right eyes of 24 patients with androgen deficiency and 31 healthy volunteers were included in the *** eyes were scanned for subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT),choroidal vascularity index(CVI),choroidstromal area(C-SA),choroid-luminal area(C-LA),choroidstromal to luminal area ratio(CSLR),and the choroidal parameters within central 1500μm of the macula(CVI1500,C-LA1500,C-SA1500,and CSLR1500)by enhanced-depth imaging optical coherence tomography(EDI-OCT)at baseline,6th and 18th weeks of the exogenous testosterone ***:The mean SFCT values of the androgen deficient groups and healthy controls were 307.7±27.0 and 303.2±37.2μm(P=0.8).However,CVI,C-SA,CSLR,CVI1500,C-LA1500,and CSLR1500 were significantly different between the groups(all P0.05).However,CVI1500 and LA1500 significantly increased at the end of the follow-up period(P<0.001).CONCLUSION:CVI is lower in androgen-deficient patients than in healthy *** alterations in the choroid during the testosterone peak are transient in the treatment of patients with androgen ***,the increase in CVI within the central 1500μm of the macula persists even after 4mo.

Nowadays,it is common for suppliers to be separated from their buyers by great *** means that,if some items in the lot turn out to be defective,the distance makes it uneconomical to order replacements from the original ***,both Type I and Type II errors may occur in the screening process for eliminating defective items and the combination of defective items and inspection errors may lead to *** with these assumptions,this paper develops two distinct *** the first model,defective items are repaired by a local repair shop subject to a repair charge and a mark-up *** the second model,a local supplier replaces the defective with good ones,but at a higher *** expected total profit per cycle is developed,together with the expected cycle time,and,employing the renewal reward theorem,the objective function is derived,from which the optimum values are obtained for the order and shortage *** paper presents numerical results and a discussion for both *** study finds that repairing defective items generally leads to greater total profit than purchasing local replacements.

Effects of tungsten and boron contents on the thermal properties and microhardness of W-Fe-B metallic glass system were studied. Thin foils, with thicknesses of 20 and 100 ktm, of the alloys were produced by piston and anvil method in an arc furnace. The structures of the foils were investigated by X-ray diffraction. Thermal stabilities of the alloys were examined by using differential scanning calorimetry. 20-μm- thick foils of all the alloys were determined to be fully amorphous, but crystalline phases were detected in the 100-μm-thick foils. It was found that crystallization temperatures of the alloys are between 1060 and 1177 K. Tungsten and boron content increases improve the crystallization temperature and microhardness of the alloys significantly, but deteriorate the glass forming ability of the alloys. It was also observed that for constant Fe content, increasing tungsten content to the level higher than that of boron content does not result in any further improvement in crystallization temperature, but improves glass forming ability significantly. The alloy containing highest total amount of tungsten and boron, W35Fe35B3o, has the highest crystallization temperature, 1177 K, and microhardness, 1634 HV.

Significant progress was made by the CERN RD39 collaboration in the development of super radiation-hard cryogenic silicon detectors for applications in experiments at LHC, in particular after its future luminosity upgrade. The detailed modeling shows that the electric field in irradiated silicon detectors can easily be manipulated by the filling state of two deep defect levels at cryogenic temperature. Advanced radiation hard detectors using charge or current injection and the current injected detectors(CID) were developed by RD39. The results show that CID detectors can be operated at the temperature of 100?200 K with much improved charge collection efficiency(CCE) as compared with RT operation. Future studies are developing ultra-hard cryogenic silicon detectors for the LHC upgrade, where the radiation hardness is required up to 1016 neq/cm2, at which trapping will limit the charge collection depth to the range of 20 to 50 μm regardless of the depletion depth. The key of our approach is to use freeze-out trapping to affect CCE.
