The response and anti-stress mechanisms of nitrifying sludge under long-term exposure to Cd Se quantum dots

The wide application of CdSe quantum dots(QDs)increases its stress risk to sewage treatment *** study evaluated the response of nitrification performance,floc characteristics and microbial community of nitrifying sludge under long-term exposure to CdSe *** showed CdSe QDs(≥1 mg/L)would decrease the activity of ammonia monooxygenase(AMO).Under the stress of 30 mg/L CdSe QDs,the activity of AMO was reduced by 66%,while the activities of hydroxylamine oxidase and nitrite oxidoreductase were enhanced by 19.1%and 26%,***,the final nitrification effects were not adversely affected,and the production rates of NO_(2)^(-)-N and NO_(3)^(-)-N were ***,CdSe QDs improved biomass concentration in sludge and maintained the stability of sludge *** throughput sequencing analysis showed that CdSe QDs evidently reduced the abundance and diversity of microbial community in nitrifying *** abundances of amino acid metabolism and lipid metabolism were ***,CdSe QDs decreased the fluorescence intensity of tryptophan-like protein from 2,326 to 1,179 *** loosely bound extracellular polymeric substances(EPSs)and from 3,792 to 3,117 *** tightly bound *** relieve CdSe QD stress,the polysaccharide content increased from0.31 to 0.61 mg/g MLSS and intracellular antioxidant defense was *** CdSe QD level increasing to 30 mg/L,the total antioxygenic capacity and the activities of catalase were enhanced up to 411%and 143.2%,***,CdSe QDs had little adverse effects on cell membrane integrity,microbial metabolism and the abundance of Nitrospirae.

目的观察左西孟旦治疗老年急性前壁心肌梗死行急诊经皮冠状动脉介入术(PPCI)围手术期合并心力衰竭患者的临床效果。方法选择2021年1月至2022年1月临沂市中心医院收治的100例住院老年急性前壁心肌梗死行PPCI且距离发病72 h以内并发左心衰竭(Killip分级Ⅱ~Ⅲ级)的患者为研究对象,随机将其分为对照组和观察组,各50例。对照组给予常规治疗,观察组在常规治疗基础上给予左西孟旦治疗。比较两组治疗前及治疗后不同时间的N末端脑钠肽前体(NT-proBNP)水平、心功能指标[左心室舒张末期内径(LVEDd)、左心室收缩末期内径(LVEDs)及左心室射血分数(LVEF)],记录两组的住院时长,随访1年记录再住院率和死亡率。结果治疗后24 h、72 h及7 d,观察组的NT-proBNP水平低于对照组,差异具有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论早期应用左西孟旦能较好地改善老年急性前壁心肌梗死行PPCI围手术期合并心力衰竭患者的心功能,缩短住院时长,近、远期疗效较好。

Heat Transfer Enhancement of Supercritical Nitrogen Flowing Downward in a Small Vertical Tube:Evaluation of System Parameter Effects

In this paper,the heat transfer enhancement(HTE)of supercritical nitrogen flowing downward in a vertical small tube(diameter 2 mm)is studied using the commercial software CFX of Ansys16.1,to provide theoretical guidance on the design of high-performance heat transfer *** effective numerical simulation method,which employs the SSG Reynolds stress model with enhanced wall treatment,is applied to study the heat transfer of supercritical nitrogen under typical working *** objective is to evaluate the effect of the main parameters taking into account the buoyancy and flow acceleration *** results are compared with results calculated from three well-known empirical correlations and the applicability of empirical correlation is discussed in *** is discovered that the Watts and Chou correlation accurately fits the simulation results of supercritical nitrogen and the Dittus-Boelter and Jackson correlations can only be used for high-pressure *** HTE of supercritical nitrogen is closely related to the laminar sub-layer and buffer layer of a boundary *** buoyancy effect on the HTE should be considered at low mass flux conditions,and thermal acceleration can be completely ignored for the cases *** special HTE featured by the increment in heat transfer coefficient with increasing heat flux is discovered at low pressure,and simulation results proved that this HTE is caused by the combined actions of buoyancy as well as significant variations in specific heat and viscosity.

The global problem of petroleum contamination in soils seriously threatens environmental safety and human *** studies have successfully demonstrated the feasibility of bioelectrokinetic and bioelectrochemical remediation of petroleum-contaminated soils due to their easy implementation,environmental benignity,and enhanced removal efficiency compared to *** paper reviewed recent progress and development associated with bioelectrokinetic and bioelectrochemical remediation of petroleum-contaminated *** working principles,removal efficiencies,affecting factors,and constraints of the two technologies were thoroughly summarized and *** potentials,challenges,and future perspectives were also deliberated to shed light on how to overcome the barriers and realize widespread implementation on large scales of these two technologies.

Occurrence and removal of selected polycyclic musks in two sewage treatment plants in Xi＇an, China

Polycyclic musks are widely used for cos- metics and other personal care and household cleaning products. The occurrence and removal of two representa- tive polycyclic musks, galaxolide （HHCB） and tonalide （AHTN） were investigated in three different processes of two sewage treatment plants （STPs） in Xi＇an, China. The samples were preconcentrated by solid phase extraction procedure and analyzed using a gas chromatography mass spectrometry （GC/MS） by a modified procedure. The HHCB was in the range of 82.8 to 182.5 ng.L1 in the influents and 22.6 to 103.9ng.L-1 in the effluents. The AHTN ranged from 11.0 to 19.3 ng. L-1 in the influents and 2.2 to 8.8 ng. I_~1 in the effluents. The removal efficiency of the two musks varied in the ranges of 43.1%-70.4% for HHCB and 54.2%-84.4% for AHTN. Concentrations of the two musks in aqueous phase of three processes slightly increased along the primary process, and significantly removed during the biologic treatment processes, revealing that the selected musks could be remarkably removed in varied activated sludge processes. Advanced processes of activated sludge did not show a significant superiority on selected musk removal compared to the conventional process. The selected musk removal mainly resulted from the adsorption function of activated sludge. There was no significant change of HHCB/AHTN ratios along the treatment flow, indicating that each sewage treatment structure had a similar removal efficiency for the two musks.

A FAS approach for stabilization of generalized chained forms: part 1. Discontinuous control laws

In this paper, a type of general nonholonomic systems is proposed, which contains both the Brockett’s two example systems, and their extended n-dimensional chained forms, as special cases. For the stabilization of such systems, a stabilizing controller is proposed based on the fully actuated system(FAS)approach, which is discontinuous at the origin but time-invariant when the open-loop system is time-invariant,and drives the feasible trajectories of the system to the origin exponentially. Furthermore, the proposed FAS approach is also extended to the sub-normal system case and the time-delay system case.

In this paper, continuous time-varying stabilizing controllers for the type of general nonholonomic systems proposed and treated in part 1 are designed using the fully actuated system(FAS) approach. The key step is to differentiate the first scalar equation, and by control of the obtained second-order scalar system, a proportional plus integral feedback form for the first control variable is obtained. With the solution to this designed second-order scalar system, the rest equations in the nonholonomic system form an independent time-varying subsystem which is then handled by the FAS approach. The overall designed controller contains an almost arbitrarily chosen design parameter, and is proven to guarantee the uniformly and globally exponential stability of the closed-loop system. The proposed approach is simple and effective,and is demonstrated with a practical example of ship control.
