Negative enthalpy alloys and local chemical ordering:a concept and route leading to synergy of strength and ductility

Solid solutions are ubiquitous in metals and alloys. Local chemical ordering(LCO) is a fundamental sub-nano/nanoscale process that occurs in many solid solutions and can be used as a microstructure to optimize strength and ductility. However, the formation of LCO has not been fully elucidated, let alone how to provide efficient routes for designing LCO to achieve synergistic effects on both superb strength and ductility. Herein, we propose the formation and control of LCO in negative enthalpy alloys. With engineering negative enthalpy in solid solutions, genetic LCO components are formed in negative enthalpy refractory high-entropy alloys(RHEAs). In contrast to conventional ‘trial-and-error' approaches, the control of LCO by using engineering negative enthalpy in RHEAs is instructive and results in superior strength(1160 MPa) and uniform ductility(24.5%) under tension at ambient temperature, which are among the best reported so far. LCO can promote dislocation cross-slip, enhancing the interaction between dislocations and their accumulation at large tensile strains; sustainable strain hardening can thereby be attained to ensure high ductility of the alloy. This work paves the way for new research fields on negative enthalpy solid solutions and alloys for the synergy of strength and ductility as well as new functions.

Topographical relief characteristics and its impact on population and economy:A case study of the mountainous area in western Henan,China

Topographical relief is a key factor that limits population distribution and economic development in mountainous *** limitation is especially apparent in the mountain?plain t「ansition *** the transition zone between the Qinling Mountains and the North China Plain(*** mountainous area in western Henan Province)as an example and based on the 200-m resolution DEM data,we used the mean change-point analysis to determine the optimal statistical unit for topographical relief,and thereafter extracted the relief *** the 1:100,000 land use data,township population and county-level industrial data,population and economic spatial models were constructed,and 200?m resolution grid population and economic density maps were gen ***,statistical analysis was carried out to quantitatively reveal the impact of topographical relief on population and *** addition,the impacts of other topographical factors were *** results showed the following.(1)The relief degree in western Henan is generally low,where 58.6%of the regional topography does not exceed half the height of a reference mountain(relative elevation W250 m).Spatially,the relief degree is high in the west while low in the east,and high in the middle while low in the north and *** is a positive correlation between relief degree and elevation,and a much stronger correlation between relief degree and slope.(2)The linear fitting degree between the population and economic validation data and the corresponding simulation data are 0.943 and 0.909,respectively,indicating that the spatialized results can reflect the actual population and economic distribution.(3)The impact of topographical relief on population and economy was stronger than that of other topographical *** relief degree showed a good logarithmic fit relati on ship with population density(0.911)and economic density(0.874).Specifically,88.65%of the population lives in areas where the topographical reli

Constructing structure-function relationships is critical for the rational design and development of efficient catalysts for CO_(2) electroreduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).In_(2)O_(3) is well-known for its specific ability to produce formic ***,how the crystal phase and surface affect the CO_(2)RR activity is still unclear,making it difficult to further improve the intrinsic activity and screen for the most active *** this work,cubic and hexagonal In_(2)O_(3) with different stable surfaces((111)and(110)for cubic,(120)and(104)for hexagonal)are investigated for CO_(2)*** results demonstrate that the adsorption of reactants on cubic In_(2)O_(3) is stronger than that on hexagonal In_(2)O_(3),with the cubic(111)surface being the most active for CO_(2)*** experiments,synthesized cubic In_(2)O_(3) nanosheets with predominantly exposed(111)surfaces exhibited a high HCOO^(-)Faradaic efficiency(87.5%)and HCOO^(–)current density(–16.7 mA cm^(-2))at–0.9 V vs *** addition,an aqueous Zn-CO_(2) battery based on a cubic In2O3 cathode was *** work correlates the phases and surfaces with the CO_(2)RR activity,and provides a fundamental understanding of the structure-function relationship of In_(2)O_(3),thereby contributing to further improvements in its CO_(2)RR ***,the results provide a principle for the directional preparation of materials with optimal phases and surfaces for efficient electrocatalysis.

Hybrid deep neural network based prediction method for unsteady flows with moving boundary

Any motion, forced or free, of boundary affects the flow field around this boundary. A new kind of reduced order model (ROM) based on hybrid deep neural network is proposed to model flow field evolution process of unsteady flow around moving boundary. This hybrid deep neural network can map the relationship between the flow field at the next time step and the flow field and boundary positions at the previous time steps. Based on the learned information, the hybrid deep neural network can quickly and accurately predict the flow field. Unsteady flows around forced oscillation cylinder with various amplitudes, frequencies, and Reynolds numbers are simulated to establish the training and testing datasets. The prediction results of the hybrid deep neural network and the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation results are consistent with high accuracy. The forces on the moving boundary can be integrated through the predicted flow field data. Good performance makes this new ROM method can be used in many fluid dynamics research fields, which needs fast and accurate simulation.

针对当前基于深度学习图像超分辨率重建方法模型规模大、重建效率低等问题,提出了一种能够获得性能和网络规模优越平衡的图像超分辨率重建网络。首先,利用局部更宽残差块结构,设计了两级残差特征提取模块;然后,以该模块为基础,使用特征图循环传递的方式来构造深层特征提取网络,这可以使得多个网络层共享参数,提高了网络的效率;最后,改进了以往惯常使用的上采样方法,为了弥补分辨率扩张带来高频信息的损失,采用多尺度联合学习的机制构建上采样模块。实验结果表明,与相同类型网络相比,本文方法在维持网络规模较低时,获得了优秀的性能指标和视觉效果。

Generative pretrained transformer 4:an innovative approach to facilitate value-based healthcare

Objective Appropriate medical imaging is important for value-based *** aim to evaluate the performance of generative pretrained transformer 4(GPT-4),an innovative natural language processing model,providing appropriate medical imaging automatically in different clinical *** Institutional Review Boards(IRB)approval was not required due to the use of nonidentifiable ***,we used 112 questions from the American College of Radiology(ACR)Radiology-TEACHES Program as prompts,which is an open-sourced question and answer program to guide appropriate medical *** included 69 free-text case vignettes and 43 simplified *** the performance evaluation of GPT-4 and GPT-3.5,we considered the recommendations of ACR guidelines as the gold standard,and then three radiologists analyzed the consistency of the responses from the GPT models with those of the *** set a five-score criterion for the evaluation of the consistency.A paired t-test was applied to assess the statistical significance of the *** For the performance of the GPT models in free-text case vignettes,the accuracy of GPT-4 was 92.9%,whereas the accuracy of GPT-3.5 was just 78.3%.GPT-4 can provide more appropriate suggestions to reduce the overutilization of medical imaging than GPT-3.5(t=3.429,P=0.001).For the performance of the GPT models in simplified scenarios,the accuracy of GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 was 66.5%and 60.0%,*** differences were not statistically significant(t=1.858,P=0.070).GPT-4 was characterized by longer reaction times(27.1 s in average)and extensive responses(137.1 words on average)than *** As an advanced tool for improving value-based healthcare in clinics,GPT-4 may guide appropriate medical imaging accurately and efficiently。

目的探索奈玛特韦片/利托那韦片组合包装(Paxlovid)对肺移植患者他克莫司(Tacrolimus,TAC)血药浓度的影响,为肺移植术后的新型冠状病毒感染患者服用Paxlovid与TAC时的用药安全提供合理参考。方法回顾性分析2022年11月1日至2023年1月31日中日友好医院收治的5例肺移植术后服用Paxlovid的患者(服用Paxlovid之前,5例患者的TAC血药浓度均已达稳态),测定服用Paxlovid期间及之后的TAC谷浓度,记录Paxlovid停药后重新启用TAC的时间和剂量,同时收集用药期间患者的肝肾功能指标数据。结果在Paxlovid使用期间,3例患者的TAC血药浓度分别下降19.4%、8.4%、14.7%,另外2例分别升高了21.6%、80.6%。重新启用TAC之后,3例患者TAC谷浓度出现了先上升(平均上升59.5%)后下降(平均下降33.3%)的趋势,而另外2例患者TAC谷浓度则一直持续下降。4例患者分别是在TAC血药浓度为基线水平的47.2%、72.6%、83.8%、60.3%时开始恢复使用TAC,1例则是在基线水平的171.2%开始启用TAC。2例患者以基线剂量开始启用TAC,另外3例患者分别以85.7%、44.4%、90.9%的基线剂量开始重新使用。结论Paxlovid会对TAC血药浓度产生影响,不仅是在Paxlovid治疗期间,甚至持续至停药后第6天,存在显著的个体差异,建议在患者治疗期间严密监测TAC血药浓度,根据血药浓度实行个体化TAC给药方案。
