Novel synthesis of stabilized Bi1-x-yGdxDyyO1.5 solid electrolytes with enhanced conductivity for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells（SOFCs）

herein,we report the synthesis of a Dy-Gd co-doped cubic phase-stabilized Bi2O3solid electrolyte system via solid-state processing under atmospheric *** with Dy3+and Gd3+has been observed to significantly enhance the densification process during sintering for stabilization purposes,thereby improving the electrical properties of δ-Bi2O3-type *** synthesized ceramics were characterized using X-ray diffraction（XRD）,field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy（FESEm-EDX）,thermal gravimetry/differential thermal analysis（TG/DTA）,and the four-point probe technique（4PPT）.XRD analysis reveals that the samples Bi1-x-yGdxDyyO1.5（y=0.05/x=0.05,0.10,0,15,and 0.20,and x=0.05/y=0.10,0.15,and 0.20） exhibit a stable face-centered cubic δ-phase and a mixed-phase crystallographic *** XRD analysis of the stabilized δ-phase suggests that the prepared oxides show a face-centered cubic（FCC） structure with a space group of *** micrographs reveal that the composition Bi0.90Gd0.05Dy0.05O1.5has no significant ***,an evident increase in the pore formation is observed as the amount of Gd2O3increases until it reaches 20%.This finding suggests that dense pellets are formed during the sintering process at 900-1000℃.The DTA analyses were performed to verify the phase stability,which agrees with the XRD *** electroch.mical performance of the synthesized Dy-Gd co-doped Bi2O3solid electrolyte system was evaluated and analyzed in detail by using the electroch.mical impedance spectroscopy（EIS） technique,Based on EIS and conductivity measurements,Bi0.75Gd0.20Dy0.05O1.5exhibits the lowest activation energy of 0.519 eV and the highest conductivity value of 0.398 S/cm at 627℃compared to the other samples;this composition can be used as a solid electrolyte for intermediatetemperature solid oxide fuel cells（SOFCs）.

The aim of this research is to demonstrate a novel sch.me for approximating the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral *** would be achieved by first establishing a fractional-order version of the 2-point Trapezoidal rule and then by proposing another fractional-order version of the(n+1)-composite Trapezoidal *** particular,the so-called divided-difference formula is typically employed to derive the 2-point Trapezoidal rule,which has accordingly been used to derive a more accurate fractional-order formula called the(n+1)-composite Trapezoidal ***,in order to increase the accuracy of the proposed approximations by reducing the true errors,we incorporate the so-called Romberg integration,which is an extrapolation formula of the Trapezoidal rule for integration,into our proposed *** numerical examples are provided and compared with a modern definition of the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operator to illustrate the efficacy of our sch.me.

Application of shortened heat treatment cycles on A356 automotive brake calipers with respective globular and dendritic microstructures

Since the automotive industry has many possible applications for semi-solid metal (SSm)-high-pressure die casting (hPDC) parts, the newly developed heat treatment cycles, as well as the traditional heat treatment cycles, were applied to A356 brake calipers cast using a LK DCC630 hPDC *** hardness measurements at a cross section of the brake calipers were performed, indicating that similar values can be obtained when using the significantly shorter heat treatment ***, the typical tensile properties that can be obtained for SSm-hPDC A356 brake calipers are compared with those manufactured by gravity die *** indicate that the differences in microstructures (globular or dendritic) do not have a noteworthy effect on the heat treatment *** implies that the short heat treatment cycles originally developed for globular SSm-hPDC A356 castings can be successfully applied to dendritic liquid A356 castings too.

Trehalose(Tre)is a non-reducing disaccharide found in many species,including bacteria,fungi,invertebrates,yeast,and even plants,where it acts as an osmoprotectant,energy source,or protein/membrane *** relatively small amounts in plants,Tre concentrations increase following exposure to abiotic ***-6-phosphate,a precursor of Tre,has regulatory functions in sugar metabolism,crop production,and stress *** the various abiotic stresses,temperature extremes(heat or cold stress)are anticipated to impact crop production worldwide due to ongoing climate *** small amounts of Tre can mitigate negative physiological,metabolic,and molecular responses triggered by temperature *** also interacts with other sugars,osmoprotectants,amino acids,and phytohormones to regulate metabolic reprogramming that underpins temperature stress *** plants expressing Tre-synthesis genes accumulate Tre and show improved stress ***-wide studies of Tre-encoding genes suggest roles in plant growth,development,and stress *** review discusses the functions of Tre in mitigating temperature stress—highlighting genetic engineering approaches to modify Tre metabolism,crosstalk,and interactions with other molecules—and in-silico approaches for identifying novel Tre-encoding genes in diverse plant *** consider how this knowledge can be used to develop temperature-resilient crops essential for sustainable agriculture.

Characterization of surface liquid segregation in SSm-hPDC aluminium alloys 7075,2024,6082 and A201

The surface liquid segregation(SLS) phenomenon in semi-solid metal-high pressure die casting(SSm-hPDC) plates of 7075,2024,6082 and A201 was investigated by different *** profiles were determined by firstly measuring the ch.mical composition of the surface of the plates using a Thermo Quantris optical emission spectrometer(OES).material was then removed by a grinding process followed by measurement of the amount of material removed and ch.mical *** profiles of the main alloying elements were plotted for the cross-section of the plates in the as-cast and T6(after solution treatment) temper *** hardness profiles from the surface to the centre of the plates were *** samples of cross-sections of the castings were prepared and evaluated using a scanning electron *** results show that surface liquid segregation in SSm-hPDC alloys causes significant differences in properties between the surface and the bulk of these castings in both the F and T6 temper conditions.

Objective:The aim of this study was to review findings from a large prospective national database of ch.mosensory disturbances associated with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** Sources:The Virginia Commonwealth University Smell and Taste Center national database of COVID-19 ch.mosensory ***:A series of online surveys,first opened on April 10,2020,was made accessible nationwide to any adult with sudden ch.mosensory dysfunction since January *** received subsequent follow-up surveys 14 days,1 month,3 months,and 6 months after *** additional survey was sent to all participants on may 28,2022 to assess long-term *** pertaining to demographics,symptoms,comorbidities,treatments,and life impact was ***:Of 363 participants who reported complete smell recovery,51.2%recovered within 1 month,70%within 3 months,and 79%within 6 months,while 8.8%took over 1 year to completely *** all participants,7.5%had no smell *** predictors of recovery included agemale gender,and the presence of nasal *** predictors included difficulty breathing and prior head *** participants reported a decrease in quality of life and the presence of potential safety hazards associated with decreased smell ***:most subjects with COVID-19-related ch.mosensory dysfunction recover,with the majority noting complete recovery within weeks of *** aged over 40 years and female gender were associated with lower rates of recovery.A considerable number of participants reported significant impact on quality of life and safety.

magnesium(mg)alloys are gaining great consideration as body implant materials due to their high biodegradability and ***,they suffer from low corrosion resistance and antibacterial *** this research,semi-powder metallurgy followed by hot extrusion was utilized to produce the magnesium oxide@graphene nanosheets/magnesium(mgO@GNS/mg)composite to improve mechanical,corrosion and cytocompatibility *** have revealed that the incorporation of mgO@GNS nanohybrids into mg-based composite enhanced microhardness and compressive *** vitro,osteoblast cell culture tests show that using mgO@GNS nanohybrid fillers enhances osteoblast adhesion and apatite *** presence of mgO@GNS nanoparticles in the composites decreased the opening defects,micro-cracks and micro-pores of the composites thus preventing the penetration of the corrosive solution into the *** demonstrated that the mgO@GNS/mg composite possesses excellent antibacterial properties because of the combination of the release of mgO and physical damage to bacterium membranes caused by the sharp edges of graphene nanosheets that can effectively damage the cell wall thereby facilitating penetration into the bacterial lipid ***,the mgO@GNS/mg composite with high.mechanical strength,antibacterial activity and corrosion resistance is considered to be a promising material for load-bearing implant applications.
