It has been recognized that physical and chemical properties of biomaterial surfaces mediate the quality of extracellular matrix(ECM)that may affect cell *** nature,ECM is a heterogeneous three-dimensional superstructure formed by three major components,glycosaminoglycan,glycoconjugate,and protein,that anchors cellular compartments in tissues and regulates the function and the behavior of *** in the biointerface alter the quality of ECM and morphology through cell surface receptors,which,in turn,enable it to trigger specific cell signaling and different cellular *** fact,a number of strategies have been used to improve the functionality of surfaces and direct cell behavior through precisely designed ***,we aimed to discuss,through a science-based viewpoint,the biomaterial surface features on cell behavior and analyze the impact of cell physical modification on dental implant development.

The periodontium comprises all structures surrounding the teeth,including gingiva,root cementum,periodontal ligament and alveolar *** tissues aim to protect and support the teeth and are challenged by a residing microbiota that leads to subclinical inflammation even in physiological ***,a prevalent multicausal inflammatory and destructive disease,develops as a result from complex host-parasite *** unique physiologic and pathologic scenario enables the development of research methods which allows conclusions beyond the simple understanding of periodontal *** aim of this viewpoint was to explore potential contributions of periodontal research to a wide array of basic science specialties,such as cell and molecular biology,microbiology,immunology,endocrinology,rheumatology,among others.
