High-quality reference genes for quantifying the transcriptional responses of Oryza sativa L. (ssp. indica and japonica) to abiotic stress conditions

rice (Oryza sativa L.) is important to food security and is also an excellent model plant for numerous cereal crops. A functional genomics study in rice includes characterization of the expression dynamics of genes by quantitative real-time PCr (qPCr) analysis; this is a significant key for developing rice varieties that perform well in the face of adverse climate change. The qPCr analysis requires the use of appropriate reference genes in order to make any quantitative interpretations meaningful. Here, the new potential reference genes were selected from a huge public database of rice microarray experiments. The expression stability of 14 candidates and 4 conventional reference genes was validated by geNorm PLUS and NormFinder software. Seven candidates are superior to the conventionally used reference genes in qPCr and three genes can be used reliably for quantitating the expression of genes involved in abiotic stress responses. These high-quality references EP (LOC_Os05g08980), HNr (LOC_Os01g71770), and TBC (LOC_Os09g34040) worked very well in three indica genotypes and one japonica genotype. One of indica genotypes including the Jasmine rice, KDML105 developed in Thailand for which no reference genes have been reported until now.

recommendation systems are going to be an integral part of any E-Business in near *** in any other E-business,recommendation systems also play a key role in the travel business where the user has to be recommended with a restaurant that best suits *** general,the recommendations to a user are made based on similarity that exists between the intended user and the other *** similarity can be calculated either based on the similarity between the user profiles or the similarity between the ratings made by the *** phase of this work concentrates on experimentally analyzing both these models and get a deep insight of these *** the lessons learned from the insights,second phase of the work concentrates on developing a deep learning *** model does not depend on the other user's profile or rating made by *** model is tested with a small restaurant dataset and the model can predict whether a user likes the restaurant or *** model is trained with different users and their *** system learns from it and in order to predict whether a new user likes or not a restaurant that he/she has not visited earlier,all the data the trained model needed is the rating made by the same user for different *** model is deployed in a cloud environment in order to extend it to be more realistic product in *** evaluated with dataset,it achieves 74.6%is accurate prediction of results,where as existing techniques achieves only 64%.

We report atmospheric turbulence parameters, namely atmospheric seeing, tilt-anisoplanatic angle(θ_0) and coherence time(Τ_0), measured under various sky conditions, at Vainu Bappu Observatory in Kavalur. Bursts of short exposure images of selected stars were recorded with a high-speed, frame-transfer CCD mounted on the Cassegrain focus of a newly commissioned 1.3 m telescope. The estimated median seeing is ≈ 1.85 " at wavelength of ～ 600 nm, the image motion correlation between different pairs of stars is ～44% for θ0≈ 36" and mean Τ_0 is ≈ 2.4 ms. This work was motivated by the design considerations and expected performance of an adaptive optics system that is currently being planned for the telescope.

Years of research have demonstrated that the use of multiple components is essential to the development of a commercial photoelectrode to address specific bottlenecks,such as low charge separation and injection efficiency,low carrier diffusion length and lifetime,and poor durability.A facile strategy for the synthesis of multilayered photoanodes from atomic-layer-deposited ultrathin films has enabled a new type of electrode architecture with a total multilayer thickness of 15–17 *** illustrate the advantages of this electrode architecture by using nanolayers to address different bottlenecks,thus producing a multilayer photoelectrode with improved interface kinetics and shorter electron transport path,as determined by interface *** photocurrent density was twice that of the bare structure and reached a maximum of 33.3±2.1 mA cm^(−2) at 1.23 *** integrated overall water-splitting cell consisting of an electrocatalytic NiS cathode and Bi_(2)S_(3)/NiS/NiFeO/TiO_(2) photoanode was used for precious-metal-free seawater splitting at a cell voltage of 1.23 V without *** results and root analyses suggest that the distinctive advantages of the electrode architecture,which are superior to those of bulk bottom-up core–shell and hierarchical architectures,originate from the high density of active sites and nanometer-scale layer thickness,which enhance the suitability for interface-oriented energy conversion processes.

reliable transmission is vital to the success of the next generation ofcommunications technologies and Fifth Generation (5G) networks. Many sensitive applications, such as eHealth and medical services, can benefit from a 5G network. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a new field that fosters themaintenance of trust among various IoMT Device to Device (D2D) modern technologies. In IoMT the medical devices have to be connected through a wirelessnetwork and constantly needs to be self-configured to provide consistent and effi-cient data transmission. The medical devices need to be connected with sophisticated protocols and architecture to handle the synergy of the monitoring ***, one of the commonly used algorithms in D2D communication is the Optimized Link State routing protocol (OLSr). The OLSr is considerably good ateffectively utilizing the bandwidth and reserving the paths. One of the majorattack against the OLSr is the Node isolation attack, also known as the Gray holedenial of service attack. The Gray hole attack exploits the vulnerabilities presentwith sharing the topological information of the network. The attackers may usethis topological information to maliciously disconnect the target nodes from theexisting network and stops rendering the communication services to the victimnode. Hence, considering the sensitivity and security concerns of the data usedin e-Health applications, these types of attacks must be detected and disabledproactively. In this work, a novel Node Authentication (NA) with OLSr is proposed. The simulation experiments illustrated that the proposed protocol has anexcellent Packet Delivery ratio, minimal End-End delay, and minimal Packet losswhen compared to the Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Victor (AODV) protocol andthe proposed authentication scheme was able to protect the OLSr protocol from anode isolation attack.

This article reports the environmentally benign synthesis of gold nanoparticles （GNPs） using methanol extract of Azolla microphylla as the stabilizing and reducing agent. The GNPs were characterized by UV-vis spectrophotometry and FTIr, and the morphological characteristics were analyzed by XrD, FESEM-EDX and HrTEM. The GNPs could be formed in very short time, even in less than 30 min. The nanoparticles measured by UV-spectrophotometer demonstrated a peak at 540 nm corresponding to surface plasmon resonance spectra, and the peaks showed by FTIr suggested the presence of organic biomolecules on the surface of the GNPs. XrD results confirmed the crystalline nature of the GNPs, and FESEM-EDX and HrTEM analyses had been performed in the size ranges of 17-40nm and 1.25-17.5nm respectively. The synthesized GNPs showed excellent antioxidant activity. This study shows the feasibility of using plant sources for the biosynthesis of GNPs.

Effect of Morinda Tinctoria Leaves Extract on the Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel in Acid Medium

The Morinda tinctoria (MT) plant leaves extract was prepared in aqueous and hydrochloric acid media and was used as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in hydrochloric acid medium. MT is found to be an efficient inhibitor at room temperature and the efficiency decreases with increase in temperature. results from colorimetric studies predict the amount of iron present in the test solution and the percentage inhibition efficiency values calculated from this data fit well with the weight loss experiments. The AC impedance studies reveal that the mild steel surface is positively charged and the process of inhibition is through charge transfer. Polarisation studies indicate the mixed nature of the inhibitor. Thermodynamic parameters obtained predict that the process of inhibition is a spontaneous one.

Novel Homomorphic Encryption for Mitigating Impersonation Attack in Fog Computing

Fog computing is a rapidly growing technology that aids in pipelining the possibility of mitigating breaches between the cloud and edge *** facil-itates the beneﬁts of the network edge with the maximized probability of offering interaction with the ***,the fog computing characteristics are suscep-tible to counteract the challenges of *** issues present with the Physical Layer Security(PLS)aspect in fog computing which included authentication,integrity,and conﬁdentiality has been considered as a reason for the potential issues leading to the security *** this work,the Octonion Algebra-inspired Non-Commutative ring-based Fully Homomorphic Encryption Scheme(NCr-FHE)was proposed as a secrecy improvement technique to overcome the impersonation attack in cloud *** proposed approach was derived through the beneﬁts of Octonion algebra to facilitate the maximum security for big data-based *** major issues in the physical layer security which may potentially lead to the possible security issues were identiﬁ*** potential issues causing the impersonation attack in the Fog computing environment were identiﬁ*** proposed approach was compared with the existing encryption approaches and claimed as a robust approach to identify the impersonation attack for the fog and edge *** computation cost of the proposed NCr-FHE is identiﬁed to be signiﬁcantly reduced by 7.18%,8.64%,9.42%,and 10.36%in terms of communication overhead for varying packet sizes,when compared to the benchmarked ECDH-DH,LHPPS,BF-PHE and SHE-PABF schemes.
