A recent study shows that the titanium dioxide （TiO2） thin film synthesised by a chemical bath deposition technique is a very useful material for the X-ray radiation sensor. In this work, we reported the influence of annealing on the X-ray radiation detection sensitivity of the TiO2 film. The films were annealed at 333 K, 363K, 393K, 473 K, and 573K for 1 hour. Structural analyses showed that the microstrain and dislocation density decreased whereas the average crystallite size increased with annealing. The band gap of the films also decreased from 3.26eV to 3.10eV after annealing. The I-V characteristics record under the dark condition and under the X-ray irradiation showed that the conductivity increased with annealing. The influence of annealing on the detection sensitivity was negligible if the bias voltage applied across the films was low （within 0.2V - 1.0V）. At higher bias voltage （〉1.0V）, the contribution of electrons excited by X-ray became less significant which affected the detection sensitivity.

Mitochondria,the powerhouse of a cell,are closely linked to the pathophysiology of various common as well as not so uncommon disorders of the liver and *** supports a prokaryotic descent,and,unsurprisingly,the organelle is worthy of being labeled an organism in *** highly metabolically active organs require a continuous feed of energy,any dysfunction in the structure and function of mitochondria can have variable impact,with the worse end of the spectrum producing catastrophic consequences with a multisystem *** categorized a hepatopathy,mitochondrial respiratory chain defects are not limited to the liver in time and *** liver involvement is also variable in clinical presentation as well as in age of onset,from acute liver failure,cholestasis,or chronic liver *** organs like eye,muscle,central and peripheral nervous system,gastrointestinal tract,hematological,endocrine,and renal systems are also variably *** hinges on recognition of subtle clinical clues,screening metabolic investigations,evaluation of the extrahepatic involvement,and role of genetics and tissue *** is aimed at both circumventing the acute metabolic crisis and long-term management including nutritional *** review lists and discusses the burden of mitochondrial respiratory chain defects,including various settings when to suspect,their evolution with time,including certain specific disorders,their tiered evaluation with diagnostic algorithms,management dilemmas,role of liver transplantation,and the future research tools.

We compared the efficacy of a natural biocide with four chemical tetrakishydroxymethyl phosphonium sulfonate, benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, and formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, to control microbial induced corrosion in oil pipelines. The efficacy of biocides were monitored against Desulfovibrio vulgaris and Desulfovibrio gigas in experimental pipes by measuring cell counts, H2S production, Fe（II） production, production of extracellular polymeric substances and structure of biofilm. The treatment with cow urine had minimum planktonic cell counts of 3 x 102 CFU/mL as well as biofilm cell counts of 9 x 101 CFU/mL as compared with tetrakishydroxyl methyl phosphonium sulfonate, benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. Sulfide production was the lowest with cow urine （0.08 mmol]L）, followed by tetrakishydroxymethyl phosphonium sulfonate 0.72 mmol]L. On day 90 of treatment, Fe（II） production was also found to be the lowest with cow urine. The scanning electron microscopic studies indicated that the biofilm bacteria were killed by cow urine. These results demonstrate the cow urine mediated control of microbially induced corrosion, and this is indicative of its potential as a viable substitute of toxic biocides. To the best of our knowledge, this seems to be the first report which screens possible biocidal activity by cow urine as compared to the most common bioeides which oil industry is currently using.

Plant long non-coding rNAs(lncrNAs)are emerging as important regulators of gene expression through various mechanisms *** to double-stranded DNA(dsDNA),physically targeting mrNAs and also act as microrNA(mirNA)*** secondary metabolites and their content determine the market value of Citrus plant products for culinary and industrial *** lncrNAs are emerging as important molecular players that regulate secondary metabolites in plants but the roles of lncrNAs are yet unknown for the regulation of secondary metabolites in Citrus *** this study,a total of 11814 lncrNAs were identified from four rNA-seq datasets comprising of data from four different tissues of *** ***,bud,fruit and ***-expression analysis of whole set of genes with identified lncrNAs revealed a total of 632 lncrNAs correlating with 5810 *** annotation of genes correlating with lncrNAs unveiled the association of 379 genes with the biosynthesis of secondary metabolite pathways and among them,36 and 12 genes are from terpenoids and flavonoids metabolism/biosynthesis pathways *** correlation analysis unfolded the possible role of 113 lncrNAs in terpenoids metabolism and 29 lncrNAs in the flavonoids metabolic *** nine lncrNAs were predicted to take part in mirNA-mediated gene regulation,out of which 10 lncrNAs were predicted to act as endogenous target mimics(eTMs)for mirNAs and 74 lncrNAs were found to act as mirNA *** of six predicted lncrNAs and seven correlated genes involved in terpenoids and flavonoids metabolism were validated using semi-quantitative rT-PCr.

La Cantera Oriente is a shallow freshwater volcanic water body located at an altitude of 2 270 m above sea level in the Ecological reserve of San Angel Pedregal of Mexico City(Mexico). In order to ensure the conservation of its biological heritage including zooplankton, the present work was undertaken to quantify the seasonal changes in the diversity and density of rotifers and the selected physicochemical variables during 2013–2014. Qualitative analysis of the zooplankton samples yielded 68 rotifer species which represented 24 genera in 15 families. B rachionus calyciflorus Pallas, 1766, B. quadridentatus Hermann, 1783, Polyarthra vulgaris Carlin, 1943, Lecane closterocerca(Schmarda, 1859) and Keratella cochlearis(Gosse, 1851) were the most common species. Preston plots of species frequency-density revealed that as many as 30% of the rotifer taxa were dominant throughout the year. The species with high population densities were B rachionus quadridentatus, Lecane closterocerca, Keratella cochlearis, and Lepadella patella; their peak densities were 2 000, 1 000, 180 and 90 ind./L, all occurring in summer. Canonical correspondence analysis showed that P latyias quadricornis was related to the concentration of phosphates available in the environment and the conductivity, while B. quadridentatus was positively correlated with chlorophyll-a. The trophic status of the lake was eutrophic based on Chl-a content but oligotrophic with relation to the B rachionus :T richocerca ratio.
