Optimal design of hybrid renewable-energy microgrid system:a techno-economic-environment-social-reliability perspective

The main objective of this paper is to select the optimal model of a hybrid renewable-energy microgrid(MG)system for a village in *** MG comprises solar photovoltaic(PV)modules,a wind turbine generator,a biomass generator,a battery bank,a diesel generator and an electric *** optimal model selection is based on technical,economic,environmental,social and reliability parameters.A novel spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to select the best hybrid MG *** optimization results are compared with particle swarm optimization,the genetic algorithm and the grasshopper optimization *** number or size of components of the optimized MG system is 215 PV modules,92 kW of wind turbine generation,25 kW of biomass generation,267 batteries,22 kW of electric vehicles and 30 kW of diesel *** optimized system was selected based on technical factors such as renewable dispersion(93.5%),the duty factor(5.85)and excess energy(15975 kWh/year)as well as eco-nomic considerations including the net present cost(rs.34686622)and the cost of energy(9.3 rs./kWh).Furthermore,environ-mental factors such as carbon emissions(396348 kg/year)and atmospheric particulate matter(22.686 kg/year);social factors such as the human progress index(0.68411),the employment generation factor(0.0389)and local employment generation(15.64643);and reliability parameters including loss of power supply probability(0.01%)and availability index(99.99%)were considered during the selection *** spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm has reduced the convergence time by 1.2 times and decreased the number of iterations by 0.83 times compared with other *** performance of the MG system is validated in the MATLAB®*** results show that the MG system is the optimal system considering technical,economic,environmental,social and reliability ***,the spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm is found to be more efficient than the other

In this article, we obtain explicit solutions of a linear PDE subject to a class of ra-dial square integrable functions with a monotonically increasing weight function｜x｜n-1eβ｜x｜2/2,β ≥ 0, x ∈ rn. This linear PDE is obtained from a system of forced Burgers equation via the Cole-Hopf transformation. For any spatial dimension n＆gt;1, the solution is expressed in terms of a family of weighted generalized Laguerre polynomials. We also discuss the large time behaviour of the solution of the system of forced Burgers equation.

The Least regular Order with respect to a regular Congruence on Ordered Γ-Semigroups

The motivation mainly comes from the conditions of congruences to be regular that are of importance and interest in ordered semigroups. In 1981, Sen has introduced the concept of the F-semigroups. We can see that any semigroup can be considered as a F-semigroup. In this paper, we introduce and characterize the concept of the regular congruences OnE ordered F-semigroups and prove the following statements on an ordered F-semigroup M：（1） Every ordered semilattice congruences is a regular congruence. （2） There exists the least regular order on the F-semigroup M/p with respect to a regular congruence p on M. （3） The regular congruences are not ordered semilattice congruences in general.

Information hiding with adaptive steganography based on novel fuzzy edge identification

The evolution in communication techniques has created wide threats for crucial information transfer through a communication channel. Covert communication with steganography is a skill of concealing secret information within cover object and hence shields the data theft over rapidly growing ***, diverse steganography techniques using edge identification have been proposed in *** methods however utilize certain pixels in the cover image for inserting edge information,resulting in significant deformation. The conventional edge detection method limits the deployment of edge detection in steganography as concealing the information would introduce some variations to the cover image. Hence inserting data in pixel areas recognized by existing conventional edge detection techniques like canny cannot ensure the recognition of the exact edge locations for the cover and stego images. In this paper, an Adaptive steganography method based on novel fuzzy edge identification is proposed. The method proposed is proficient of estimating the precise edge areas of a cover image and also ensures the exact edge location after embedding the secret message. Experimental results reveal that the technique has attained good imperceptibility compared to the Hayat AI-Dmour and Ahmed AIAni Edge XOr method in spatial domain.

role of particle stiffness and inter-particle sliding friction in milling of particles

Discrete element method （DEM） has been used to investigate the effects of particle elastic modulus and coefficient of inter-particle sliding friction on milling of mineral particles. An autogeneous mill of 600 mm diameter and 320 mm length with 14,500 particles has been selected for the simulation. Various mill performance parameters, for example, particle trajectories, collision frequency, collision energy and mill power have been evaluated to understand the effects of particle elastic modulus and inter-particle sliding friction during milling of particles. For the given model, it has been concluded that at high energy range, as the elastic modulus and particle sliding friction increase the energy dissipated among the particles increases. The collision frequency increases with the increase in elastic modulus, however, this trend is not clearly observed with increasing inter-particle sliding friction. The power draw of the mill increases with the increase in fraction of mill critical speed.

The capture and fission analysis of heavy ion induced fusion reactions leading to the formation of Z=107-111 superheavy nuclei has been carried *** have been made to analyze the synthesis traits,such as excitation functions,formation probabilities,barrier characteristics *** l-summed Wong model provides a decent description of available data on capture(σCap)and fusion-fission(σff)cross-sections and hence is exploited to make relevant predictions for future *** capture and fusion-fission excitation functions are predicted for the least explored region of superheavy nuclei(SHN)i.e.Z=*** role of massasymmetry(η),Coulomb factor(ZPZT)deformation and orientations,Businari-Gallone massasymmetry(αBG)fission barrier(Bf)etc is duly *** present study concludes that the mass-asymmetric reactions involving 24Mg,30Si,and 36S projectiles are preferred for the synthesis of unknown isotopes of Z=***,the doubly magic 48Ca-projectile also provides a competing alternative to produce neutron-rich isotopes of the abovementioned SHN.

Numerical Algorithm Based on Quintic Nonpolynomial Spline for Solving Third-Order Boundary Value Problems Associated with Draining and Coating Flows

A numerical algorithm is developed for the approximation of the solution to certain boundary value problems involving the third-order ordinary differential equation associated with draining and coating flows. The authors show that the approximate so- lutions obtained by the numerical algorithm developed by using uonpolynomial quintic spline functions ave better than those produced by other spline and domain decomposition methods. The algorithm is tested on two problems associated with draining and coating flows to demonstrate the practical usefulness of the approach.

This paper studies a two stage supply chain with a dominant upstream partner. Manufacturer is the dominant partner and operates in a Just-in-Time environment. Production is done in a single manufacturing line capable of producing two products without stopping the production for switching from one product to the other. The manufacturer imposes constraints on the distributor by adhering to his favorable production schedule which minimizes his manufacturing cost. Distributor on the other hand caters to retailers＇ orders without incurring any shortages and is responsible for managing the inventory of finished goods. Adhering to manufacturer＇s schedule may lead to high inventory carrying costs for the distributor. Distributor＇s problem, which is to find an optimal distribution sequence which minimizes the distributor＇s inventory cost under the constraint imposed by the manufacturer is proved NP-Hard by manoj et al. （2008）. Therefore, solving large size problems require efficient heuristics. We develop algorithms for the distribution problem by exploiting its structural properties. We propose two heuristics and use their solutions in the initial population of a genetic algorithm to arrive at solutions with an average deviation of less than 3.5% from the optimal solution for practical size problems.
