Background:Conserving migratory birds is challenging due to their reliance on multiple distant sites at different stages of their annual life *** concept of“flyway”,which refers to all areas covered by the breeding,nonbreeding,and migrating of birds,provides a framework for international cooperation for *** the same flyway,however,the migratory activities of the same species can differ substantially between seasons and *** the seasonal and population differences in migration is helpful for understanding migration ecology and for identifying conservation ***:Using satellite‑tracking we tracked the migration of Whimbrels(Numenius phaeopus variegatus)from nonbreeding sites at Moreton Bay(MB)and roebuck Bay(rB)in Australia in the East Asian-Australasian *** tests were used to analyze the strength of migration connectivity between the nonbreeding and breeding sites of MB and rB ***’s t test was used to compare the migration activities between the two populations and between northward and southward ***:During northward migration,migration distance and duration were longer for the MB population than for the rB *** distance and duration of the first leg flight during northward migration were longer for the MB population than for the rB population,suggesting that MB individuals deposited more fuel before departing from nonbreeding sites to support their longer nonstop *** rB population exhibited weaker migration connectivity(breeding sites dispersing over a range of 60 longitudes)than the MB population(breeding sites concentrating in a range of 5 longitudes in Far Eastern russia).Compared with MB population,rB population was more dependent on the stopover sites in the Yellow Sea and the coastal regions in China,where tidal habitat has suffered dramatic ***,rB population increased while MB population decreased over the past decades,suggesting that loss of tidal habit

背景与目的脂肪移植的临床效果是不可预知的。本文中，我们假设离心可以产生“梯度等级密度”的具有不同特性的脂肪，可以影响脂肪抽吸物的持久性和质量。方法将人类女性脂肪抽吸物样本（10mI）以1200g速率离心3rain。弃血液和油脂成分。随后，分离出1．0ml密度最高与密度最低的脂肪，进行脂肪浸润处理及分析。将密度最高与密度最低的脂肪移植于人体FVB小鼠，然后分别于2周和10周获取组织样本，进行短期与长期持久性评价。分别通过流式细胞术和酶联免疫吸附实验，分析祖细胞数量以及血管内皮细胞生长因子（vascularendothelialgrowthfactor，VEGF）、基质细胞来源因子．1（stromalcell—derivedfactor-1，SDF-1）、血小板来源生长因子（platelet—derivedgrowthfactor，PDGF）和脂连蛋白的表达。结果高密度脂肪与低密度脂肪相比，注射后2周[（85．4％±1．9％）：（62．3±0．1％），P=0．05]和10周[（60．8％±4．9％）：（42．2％±3．9％），P〈0．05]均表现出更高的存活百分率。而且，在高密度的脂肪抽吸物细胞群中，VEGF、基质血管成分（stromalvascularfraction，SVF）、PDGF和脂连蛋白的含量均比低密度的高（分别高出34．4％，P〈0．01；34．6，P〈0．05；52．2％，P〈0．01；45．7％，P〈0．05）。结论与低密度脂肪细胞群相比，随时间增长，高密度脂肪抽吸物细胞群可保持更高的存活百分比。因为高密度脂肪抽吸物细胞群包含更多的祖细胞和更大浓度的多种血管形成介质，所以比低密度脂肪细胞群更有助于血管形成。

In this White Paper we present the potential of the Enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for determining the nature of dense matter; neutron star cores host an extreme density regime which cannot be replicated in a terrestrial laboratory. The tightest statistical constraints on the dense matter equation of state will come from pulse profile modelling of accretion-powered pulsars, burst oscillation sources, and rotation-powered pulsars. Additional constraints will derive from spin measurements, burst spectra, and properties of the accretion flows in the vicinity of the neutron star. Under development by an international Consortium led by the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the eXTP mission is expected to be launched in the mid 2020 s.

Skeletal muscle as a therapeutic target for delaying type 1 diabetic complications

Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM) is a chronic autoimmune disease targeting the pancreatic beta-cells and rendering the person hypoinsulinemic and hyperglycemic. Despite exogenous insulin therapy, individuals with T1 DM will invariably develop long-term complications such as blindness, kidney failure and cardiovascular disease. Though often overlooked, skeletal muscle isalso adversely affected in T1 DM, with both physical and metabolic derangements reported. As the largest metabolic organ in the body, impairments to skeletal muscle health in T1 DM would impact insulin sensitivity, glucose/lipid disposal and basal metabolic rate and thus affect the ability of persons with T1 DM to manage their disease. In this review, we discuss the impact of T1 DM on skeletal muscle health with a particular focus on the proposed mechanisms involved. We then identify and discuss established and potential adjuvant therapies which, in association with insulin therapy, would improve the health of skeletal muscle in those with T1 DM and thereby improve disease managementultimately delaying the onset and severity of other longterm diabetic complications.

The Ninth International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones(IWTC-9) took place in Hawaii, USA in December 2018. This review paper was presented at the Workshop under the Tropical Cyclone Track *** forecasting of tropical cyclone(TC) track has seen significant improvements in recent decades both by numerical weather prediction models and by regional warning centres who issue forecasts having made use of these models and other forecasting techniques. Heming and Goerss(2010) gave an overview of forecasting techniques and models available for TC forecasting, including evidence of the improvement in performance over the years. However, the models and techniques used for TC forecasting have continued to develop in the last decade. This presentation gives an updated overview of many of the numerical weather prediction models and other techniques used for TC track prediction. It includes recent performance statistics both by the models and the regional warning centres.

Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of alvimopan,a novel peripherally acting mu-opioid receptor antagonist,in patients who undergo simple total abdominal hysterectomy. Study design:Women (n = 519)-were randomized (4:1) to receive alvimopan 12 mg (n = 413) or placebo (n = 106)≥2 hours before the operation then twice daily for 7 days (hospital and home). Adverse events were monitored up to 30 days after the last dose of study drug was administered. Efficacy was assessed for 7 postoperative days. results:Overall,the most common adverse events were nausea,vomiting,and constipation; rse events. Alvimopan significantly accelerated the time to first bowel movement (hazard ratio,2.33; P rage time to first bowel movement was reduced by 22 hours,with more frequent bowel movement and better bowel movement quality found in the treatment cohort. Conclusion:Alvimopan has a safety profile that is similar to that of placebo and provides significantly improved lower gastrointestinal recovery in women who undergo simple total abdominal hysterectomy.
