Background The impact of stressful life events(SLEs)in early childhood is often *** aimed to examine longitudinal associations between SLEs and psychosocial and general health in preschool *** Twelve SLEs occurring before the age of 24 months were assessed and categorized by frequency(no events,1-2 SLEs,and>2 SLEs)and overall tension(no events,low,and high)(n=1431).Psychosocial and general health were meas-ured three times at the age of 24,36 and 45 *** associations were examined by logistic regression models using generalized estimating equations to handle repeated *** Half(48.4%)of the families experienced SLEs,and 23.8%perceived high-tension SLEs before the children were aged 24 *** differences were observed in the association between SLEs and psychosocial *** to girls without SLEs,girls who experienced>2 SLEs[Or=3.31,95%confidence interval(CI)2.05-5.35]or high-tension SLEs(Or=3.01,95%CI 2.07-4.39)had higher odds of psychosocial problems from 24 to 45 *** odds ratios in boys were 2.10(95%CI 1.36-3.24)and 1.47(95%CI 1.06-2.03),***,only girls'risk of psychosocial problems increased after experiencing 1-2 SLEs(Or=2.15,95%CI 1.54-3.00)or low-tension SLEs(Or=1.90,95%CI 1.31-2.74).regarding general health,children who experienced>2 SLEs(Or=1.96,95%CI 1.21-3.18)and high-tension SLEs(Or=1.60,95%CI 1.12-2.28)had higher odds of poor general health from 24 to 45 *** The findings emphasized that young children's psychosocial and general health can be impacted by experienc-ing SLEs in early *** and adequate support for families experiencing SLEs are needed to minimize the potential negative effect of SLEs on child health,particularly in girls.

The absence of efficient tools for preventing bacterial contamination in the meat processing industry as well as for detecting Salmonella positive samples in real time is a matter of concern. Impedance technology has proved its effectiveness as a bacterial quantification tool for research purposes instead of laborious standard plate count, and as a detection tool to substitute tedious current horizontal method ISO 6579：2002. Calibration curves were carded out for S. enteritidis and S. typhimurium in raw pork matrix （r2 〉 0.90）. Calibrations of mixtures of both strains at different ratio were prepared, showing a high efficiency to differentiate bacterial metabolism. Impediometry was also validated against standard plate count in raw pork samples treated by UV-C illumination to inactivate Salmonella. Even, damaged but still viable bacteria were recorded. Detection of Salmonella by impediometry led to a decrease in false positives, obtaining results within 30 h compared to 72 h in case of conventional method.

The Darhib mine is one of the several talc deposits in the Hamata area of southeastern Egypt. Several specimens of minerals coming from this mine were subjected to complementary investigation by micro-raman spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy. The difficulty in their identification is the appearance of most of them: they are all very small and only visible under the mineral binocular microscope(×10 - ×40). They appear as small crystals in fissures and holes and a visual determination on colour and crystal gives only a guess of what kind of mineral it could be. Therefore, only after analyzing them by micro-raman and scanning electron microscopy it was possible to identify their structure and they can be divided in three main groups: one is quite generic and several minerals of different species were identified, such as quartz, talc, mottramite and chrysocolla, very common in the talc mine (these ones are Si-based minerals);the other one is constituted by four samples which are Zn and/or Cu rich, which means minerals of the rosasite or aurichalcite groups;the last group is constituted by two samples containing mainly Pb..
