Enhanced and asymmetric signatures of hybridization at climatic margins: Evidence from closely related dioecious fig species

Hybridization plays a significant role in biological evolution. However, it is not clear whether ecological contingency differentially influences likelihood of hybridization, particularly at ecological margins where parental species may exhibit reduced fitnesses. Moreover, it is unknown whether future ecosystem change will increase the prevalence of hybridization. Ficus heterostyla and F. squamosa are closely related species co-distributed from southern thailand to southwest China where hybridization, yielding viable seeds, has been documented. As a robust test of ecological factors driving hybridization, we investigated spatial hybridization signatures based on nuclear microsatellites from extensive population sampling across a widespread contact range. Both species showed high population differentiation and strong patterns of isolation by distance. Admixture estimates exposed asymmetric interspecific gene *** of hybridization increase significantly towards higher latitude zones, peaking at the northern climatic margins. Geographic variation in reproductive phenology combined with ecologically challenging marginal habitats may promote this phenomenon. Our work is a first systematic evaluation of such patterns in a comprehensive, latitudinally-based clinal context, and indicates that tendency to hybridize appears strongly influenced by environmental conditions. Moreover, that future climate change scenarios will likely alter and possibly augment cases of hybridization at ecosystem scales.

We estimate the coupling constants and decay widths of the SU(3)partners of theΩ(2012)hyperon,as discovered by the BELLE Collaboration,using the distribution amplitudes of the octet baryons within the light cone sum rules *** study includes a comparison of the obtained results for the relevant decay widths with those derived within the framework of the flavor SU(3)*** observe a good agreement between the predictions of both ***,our result on the decay width ofΩ→ΞK is compatible with the existing experimental result within the uncertainties of the model *** results can provide helpful insights for determining the nature of the SU(3)partners of theΩ(2012)baryon.

the advent of pandemics such as COVID-19 significantly impacts human behaviour and lives every ***,it is essential to make medical services connected to internet,available in every remote location during these ***,the security issues in the Internet of Medical things(IoMt)used in these service,make the situation even more critical because cyberattacks on the medical devices might cause treatment delays or clinical ***,services in the healthcare ecosystem need rapid,uninterrupted,and secure *** solution provided in this research addresses security concerns and services availability for patients with critical health in remote *** research aims to develop an intelligent Software Defined Networks(SDNs)enabled secure framework for Iot healthcare *** propose a hybrid of machine learning and deep learning techniques(DNN+SVM)to identify network intrusions in the sensor-based healthcare *** addition,this system can efficiently monitor connected devices and suspicious ***,we evaluate the performance of our proposed framework using various performance metrics based on the healthcare application *** experimental results show that the proposed approach effectively detects and mitigates attacks in the SDN-enabled Iot networks and performs better that other state-of-art-approaches.

Clinical validation of the early embryo viability assessment system: Analysis for the blastocyst morphology and pregnancy outcomes

Suspect and non-targeted screening of chemical pollutants in Botswana's aquatic environments

Chemical pollution in the aquatic systems of Botswana has been sparsely studied despite its potential ecological ***,we perform a study of water samples collected from 13 locations distributed across Botswana to obtain the first overview of the nature and distribution of chemical contaminants across the country's aquatic *** resolution mass spectrometry was applied using nontargeted and suspect screening methods to qualitatively analyse samples.A total of 114 contaminants of emerging concern(CECs)were identified including 68(59.6%)pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical metabolites;16(14.2%)pesticides;13(11.4%)psychoactive compounds and metabolites;11(9.7%)industrial chemicals and intermediates and lastly,5(4.4%)personal care ***,3,4-dimethylmethcathinone,and diazolidinyl urea represented the most commonly detected pharmaceutical,psychoactive drug and personal care product,*** pesticide dodemorph and three industrial chemicals(stearamide,pthalic acid and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate)were detected in all samples obtained.90 CECs were detected in receiving water(from 7 sample locations),75 in wastewater(from 3 sample locations)and 60 in surface water(from 9 sample locations).Of the compounds detected,only 8 had been identified in environmental samples acquired in Botswana *** discuss the variations in the nature and frequency of chemical pollutants detected in this work in a geographical *** results indicate that Botswana's aquatic systems are subject to pollution,despite wastewater treatment and that in order to mitigate potentially harmful effects on both human and aquatic ecosystems,more investigations are required to correctly identify,track and tackle the sources of pollution.

Peri-implant gas accumulation in response to magnesium-based musculoskeletal biomaterials:reframing current evidence for preclinical research and clinical evaluation
