The present study explored quality control of plant drug and polyherbal formulation using HPTLC and HPLC *** study combined qualitative analysis of Emodin and rhein biomarker compound in rhei Emodi *** extract and polyherbal formulation extract by HPTLC method with quantitative estimation of Emodin by HPLC method,aiming to help in accurate identification of Emodin and rhein in plant materials,polyherbal *** study also checked adulteration,with the purpose of improving bio-efficacy of ayurvedic *** the samples showed characteristic peaks of Emodin at same retention time as that of standard *** to the HPTLC fingerprinting results,the rf values of rhein reference standard at 0.42 and Emodin at 0.62 were observed in test solution of rhei emodi *** extract and polyherbal formulation extract and both were found *** quantitative evaluation of Emodin present in the polyherbal formulation and rhei emodi *** extracts were 0.0177% and 0.3106% respectively.

BACKGrOUND The utility of D-dimer(DD)as a biomarker for acute aortic dissection(AD)is ***,its predictive value for in-hospital mortality remains uncertain and subject to conflicting *** To conduct a meta-analysis of AD-related in-hospital mortality(ADIM)with elevated DD *** We searched PubMed,Scopus,Embase,and Google Scholar for AD and ADIM literature through May *** was assessed using I2 statistics and effect size(hazard or odds ratio)analysis with random-effects *** size,study type,and patients’mean age were used for subgroup *** significance threshold was Prteen studies(3628 patients)were included in our *** pooled prevalence of ADIM was 20%(95%CI:15%-25%).Despite comparable demographic characteristics and comorbidities,elevated DD values were associated with higher ADIM risk(unadjusted effect size:1.94,95%CI:1.34-2.8;adjusted effect size:1.12,95%CI:1.05-1.19,Prs exhibited an increased mortality risk(effect size:1.43,95%CI:1.23-1.67,Preas no significant difference was observed in studies with a mean age>60 *** and larger sample size studies(n>250)demonstrated a heightened likelihood of ADIM associated with elevated DD levels(effect size:2.57,95%CI:1.30-5.08,Prespectively).CONCLUSION Our meta-analysis shows elevated DD increases in-hospital mortality risk in AD patients,highlighting the need for larger,prospective studies to improve risk prediction models.

Cardiac papillary fibroelastomas(CPFs) are the second most common primary cardiac tumors and the most common cardiac valvular tumors. Although they are histologically benign and usually asymptomatic, CPFs can lead to serious and life-threatening complications like myocardial infarction, stroke, pulmonary embolus, cardiac arrest etc. CPFs represent a rare entity in clinical medicine and literature regarding their management is limited. We report two cases which illustrate such complications arising from undiagnosed CPFs on the aortic valve. We further stress on the importance of identifying CPFs early so that they can be managed appropriately based on recommendations from the available literature.

In recent years, we have accomplished effective organics remediation using titanium oxide (TiO2) doped transition metals, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires and silver & palladium doped ZnO nanowires. The present manuscript displays the advantage of organic remediation in both UV and visible radiation using graphene (G) doped TiO2 nanoparticles, G doped ZnO nanowires. The nanostructured G-TiO2 nanoparticles and G-ZnO nanowires were synthesized using sol-gel and hydrothermal methods. The nanostructured materials were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XrD), procedures. The remediation of organic compounds (naphthalene, methyl orange) in water was achieved under both UV and visible radiation using graphene doped nanostructured photocatalytic materials. The advantage of graphene doped ZnO nanowires as well as G-TiO2 nanoparticles has revealed organics remediation in both UV and visible radiation of light.

New developments in lab technologies help us to explore problems that were less understood in the past due to the limitations and technological constraints. One such problem of assessing the formation damage created by the invasion of fracture fluid into the matrix at lab scale is the visualization of fluid saturation distributions inside the matrix. According to the current understanding, the high capillarity contrast between the fracture and the matrix creates a non-uniform saturation distribution of invaded fluid phase during flowback, with the saturations mostly concentrated at the fracture face. With the advent of microfluidics, their application has become more feasible to visually analyze the effectiveness of surfactants to mitigate the invasion-created formation damage and understand the impact of depth of invasion on the characteristics of flowback and oil productivity. Through our previous work, we have successfully demonstrated the capability of this new visualization tool in studying the factors of the presence of surfactant in the fracture fluid and its depth of invasion, to understand the flowback efficiencies and later oil productivities in oil-wet fractured formations. Since the substrate for flooding was a proxy model of an actual rock, the chip flooding results need to be validated with conventional core flooding experiments. In contemporary times, when the new advancements in technology are driving the research progress in all industries, it is mandatory to take a well informed decision by imposing a comparative check on the results with accessible conventional means, wherever possible. The success of validation of chip flooding approach with the core flooding approach in this work instates a strong belief over the application of microfluidics to pursue more research in related fields of oil recovery.

AIM:To study the expression of embryonal markers by fetal cardiac mesenchymal stem cells(fC-MSC)and their differentiation into cells of all the germ layers. METHODS:Ten independent cultures of rat fCMSC were set up from cells derived from individual or pooled fetal hearts and studies given below were carried out at passages 3,6,15 and *** phenotypic markers CD29,CD31,CD34,CD45,CD73,CD90, CD105,CD166 and HLA-Dr were analyzed by flow *** expression of embryonal markers Oct-4, Nanog,Sox-2,SSEA-1,SSEA-3,SSEA-4,TrA-1-60 and TrA 1-81 were studied by *** fC-MSC treated with specific induction medium were evaluated for their differentiation into(1)adipocytes and osteocytes(mesodermal cells)by Oil red O and Alizarin red staining,respectively,as well as by expression of lipoprotein lipase,PPArγ2 genes in adipocytes and osteopontin and rUNX2 genes in osteocytes by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction(rT- PCr);(2)neuronal(ectodermal)cells by expression of neuronal Filament-160 and Glial Fibrillar Acidic Protein by rT-PCr and immunocytochemistry;and(3)hepa- tocytic(endodermal)cells by expression of albumin by rT-PCr and immunocytochemistry,glycogen deposits by Periodic Acid Schiff staining and excretion of urea into the culture supernatant. rESULTS:The fC-MSC expressed CD29,CD73,CD90, CD105,CD166 but lacked expression of CD31,CD34, CD45 and *** expressed embryonal markers,***-4,Nanog,Sox-2,SSEA-1,SSEA-3,SSEA-4, TrA-1-81 but not *** treatment with specific induction media,they differentiated into adipocytes and osteocytes,neuronal cells and hepatocytic cells. CONCLUSION:Our results together suggest that fCMSC are primitive stem cell types with a high degree of plasticity and,in addition to their suitability for cardiovascular regenerative therapy,they may have a wide spectrum of therapeutic applications in regenerative medicine.
