Interpretation of rotation Curves of Spiral Galaxies in Modified Teleparallel Gravity

There is a significant difference between the calculation based on the theory of general relativity and observation of rotation curves of spiral galaxies. To describe this discrepancy, two distinct theories have been proposed so far： existence of dark matter and modification of underlying gravitational theory. In the absence of dark matter, it is assumed that the theory of general relativity on galactic scales needs to be modified. This letter is devoted to explaining this difference in a modified teleparMIeI gravity. We show that modified teleparallel gravity favors flatness of rotation curves of spiral galaxies much in the same way as observation shows.

Efficacy of new scoring system for diagnosis of abdominal injury after blunt abdominal trauma in patients referred to emergency department

Purpose: The blunt abdominal trauma (BAT) is a common emergency and is significantly associated with morbidity and mortality. Our study was conducted to achieve the goal that a new scoring system could be used for the BAT ***: The statistical population of this study was 1000 patients with BAT referred to emergency department of Imam Hossein Hospital, Tehran, Iran. Sampling was carried out in a convenience non-random manner and continued to reach the required sample size. All the patients with BAT due to road traffic accidents, falls, and other direct blunt traumas such as punctures and kickbacks were included in the study. Exclusion criteria were after 3 months of pregnancy, under the age of 18, warfarin taking, no reliable medical history providing and penetrating trauma. The study questionnaire was based on BAT scoring system. The data were analyzed by SPSS V20 software. The receiver operating characteristic curve was used to analyze the effectiveness of the new scoring system in predicting the BAT patients’ ***: The mean age of the patients (n = 1000) was (35.79 ± 13.09) years. The mean score of patients was (6.29 ± 5.80). Based on this scoring system, the patients were divided into three categories. The first group was patients at low risk with score of less than 8, the second group was patients at moderate risk with score of 8-12 and the third group was patients at high risk with score of 12-24. The score of 661 (66.1%) patients were low, 109 (10.9%) were moderate and 230 (23%) had a high score. The association between hip fracture and abdominal tenderness with abdominal injury was significant (p ronbach’s alpha was 0.76 showing the reliability of this questionnaire to predict the future of ***: The study tool has a sensitivity to predict the BAT patients’ outcome, and has a proper specificity that can be used to reduce the use of harmful modalities such as computed tomography scan.

Numerical Investigation of Wind Flow around a Cylindrical Trough Solar Collector

The goal of this study is to model the effects of wind on Cylindrical Trough Collectors (CTCs). Two major areas are discussed in this paper: 1) heat losses due to wind flow over receiver pipe and 2) average forces applied on the collector’s body. To accomplish these goals a 2D modeling of CTC was carried out using commercial codes with various wind velocities and collector orientations. Ambient temperature was assumed to be constant at 300 K and for specific geometries different meshing methods and boundary conditions were used in various runs. Validation was done by comparing the simulation results for a horizontal collector with empirical data. It was observed that maximum force of 509.1 Newton per Meter occurs at +60 degrees. Nusselt number is almost the constant for positive angles while at negative angles it varies considerably with the collector’s orientation.

＜正＞The heuristic methods have been widely developed for solution of complicated optimization methods. recently hybrid methods that are based on combination of different approaches have shown more potential in this *** paper also introduces a new method by embedding the idea of particle swarm（PS） intelligence into the well-known method of simulated annealing（SA）.This way SA has been capable to search a subspace of the search space by means of an individual particle;therefore the annealing process can start from lower temperatures and use shorter Markov chains for each particle,leading to faster *** results obtained with the proposed method show its potential in achieving both accuracy and speed in small and medium size problems,compared to many advanced methods.

The prognosis of trauma among children and the factors contributing to it

Background: The role of prognosis-prediction by scoring systems is an issue of importance to decrease the mortality rate in children with trauma. In this study, our goal was to evaluate the prognosis of trauma among children younger than 17 years of age and the contributing factors in the setting of a teaching hospital. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, we evaluated 151 consecutive children, younger than 17 years of age, victims of trauma who were admitted to a teaching hospital in Tehran, Iran between November 2009 and March 2010. results: In this study, the mean PTS was 11.04 that this variable was 7.58 in cases with morbidity which was significantly higher than non-morbid cases (P = 0.001). Conclusions: The result of our study indicates that pediatric trauma scoring system can be used as a tool to predict the prognosis of trauma in children.

In this paper we present a glancing review of how to define the time schedule of Simulated Annealing（SA） algorithm in different articles that applied them to solve the traveling salesman problem（TSP）.In the following subjects we introduce a new definition of this concept in relation to other *** other word,we claim a novel description of initial temperature,Markov chain and final temperature to the basic algorithm of SA that gives an introduction to New Time Schedule Simulated Annealing（NTSSA）.In this method,the dynamic coincidence of time schedule parameters and temperature conditions is a possible happening among the searching *** continuation we present the obtaining results of proposed algorithm in solving TSP in comparison with basic methods of SA and other intelligent optimization *** surprising improvement in results obtained by this approach shows the efficiency of NTSSA in contrast with other basic optimization methods.
