A novel series of 5-（（5-substituted-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl）methyl）-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothieno[3,2-c]pyr- idines 5（a-i） has been synthesized from thienopyridine hydrazide, substituted aromatic nitriles using 4- dimethylaminopyridine （DMAP） as a catalyst under microwave irradiation and evaluated for their in vitro antifungal activity. Compound 5g is found to be more potent against Candida albicans when compared with miconazole. Docking study of the newly synthesized compounds was performed, and results showed good binding mode in the active site of fungal enzyme P450 cytochrome lanosterol 14α- demethylase. ADMET properties of synthesized compounds were also analyzed and showed good drug like properties. The results of in vitro antifungal activity, docking study and ADMET prediction revealed that the synthesized compounds have potential antifungal activity and can be further optimized and developed as a lead compound.

rational construction of flexible free-standing electrocatalysts featuring long-lasting durability,high efficiency,and wide temperature tolerance under harsh practical operations are fundamentally significant for commercial zinc-air ***,3D flexible free-standing bifunctional membrane electrocatalysts composed of covalently cross-linked supramolecular polymer networks with nitrogen-deficient carbon nitride nanotubes are fabricated(referred to as PEMAC@NDCN)by a facile self-templated ***@NDCN demonstrates the lowest reversible oxygen bifunctional activity of 0.61 V with exceptional long-lasting durability,which outperforms those of commercial Pt/C and ruO_(2).Theoretical calculations and control experi-ments reveal the boosted electron transfer,electrolyte mass/ion transports,and abundant active surface site ***,the constructed alkaline Zn-air battery with PEMAC@NDCN air-cathode reveals superb power density,capacity,and discharge-charge cycling stability(over 2160 cycles)compared to the reference Pt/C+ruO_(2).Solid-state Zn-air batteries enable a high power density of 211 mW cm^(−2),energy density of 1056 Wh kg^(−1),stable charge-discharge cycling of 2580 cycles for 50 mA cm^(−2),and wide temperature tolerance from−40 to 70℃with retention of 86%capacity compared to room-temperature counterparts,illustrating prospects over harsh operations.

Cancer cells often have an increased amount of glycans, such as sialic acid (SA), on the cell surface, which normally play an important role in cell growth, proliferation and differentiation. In this study, SA expression is determined by fluorescent nanoprobes, molecularly imprinted polymers, SA-MIPs. The nanoprobes are synthesized with an imprinting approach to produce tailor-made fluorescent core-shell particles with high affinity for cell surface SA. Inflammation and cytokine production are well known tumor promoters, modulating the cellular microenvironment, including an aberrant cell surface glycan pattern. The recombinant cytokines IL-4, IL-6, IL-8 and a cocktail of cytokines collected from stimulated T leukemia Jurkat cells were used to induce in vitro inflammation in two cell lines, and thereafter analyzed with the use of SA-MIPs and flow cytometry. One of the cell lines showed a different binding pattern of SA-MIPs after treatment with recombinant cytokines and the cytokine cocktail. This study shows that SA-MIPs can be an important tool in the investigation of overexpressed glycans in the tumor microenvironment.

Application of UPLC-MS/MS for separation and quantification of 3α-Hydroxy Tibolone and comparative bioavailability of two Tibolone formulations in healthy volunteers

A novel, fast, sensitive and robust method based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to atmospheric pressure electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry （UPLC-ESI-MS/MS） has been developed to separate two Tibolone stereoisomers i.e., 3α-Hydroxy Tibolone and 3β-Hydroxy Tibolone and to quantify 3α-Hydroxy Tibolone using p-toulenesulfonyl isocyanate （PTSI） as a derivatizing reagent in human plasma. 3α-Hydroxy Tibolone-13CD3 was used as an internal standard （IS）. The analyte and IS were extracted from human plasma by liquid-liquid extraction using ethyl acetate. Extracted samples were analyzed by UPLC-ESI-MS/MS. Chromatography was performed using binary gradient on UPLC analytical column. A linear calibration curve over the range of 0.100-35.000 ng/ mL was obtained and lower limit of quantification （LLOQ） was 0.100 ng/mL demonstrating acceptable accuracy and precision. This method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study in order to compare a test Tibolone 2.5 mg formulation vs. a reference 2.5 mg Tibolone tablet formulation in 50 post-menopausal/surgical menopause female human volunteers under fasting conditions. It is concluded that test formulation of Tibolone is bioequivalent to reference formulation of Tibolone.

The topology of full Mesh has driven the researchers in the field of wireless communication to claim that wireless mesh networks can be a significant change in the future of wireless communication. This paper presents a simulation process using Mesh routers which simulate wireless mesh network with multiple values to investigate its performance and how results can be optimized in such experience. During the process, we expand the area by assigning different values according to the number of routers needed for implementation. We create a proper centralized connectivity with more and less number of nodes using IEEE802.11a and g as a backbone and source of internet. We also study and observe its topology which provides multiple interfaces and paths between endpoints as well can control, self heal, configure and organizes itself.

Boric acid （BO3H3） is an inexpensive, efficient and mild catalyst for the synthesis of 1,1-diacetate （acylal） from the various aromatic and heteroaryl aldehydes with acetic anhydride at room temperature under solvent-free condition. The present method does not involve any hazardous organic solvents or catalysts. This method gives notable advantages such as excellent chemoselectivity, mild reaction condition, short reaction times and excellent yield.

n-Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBSA) as a novel, biodegradable, and efficient Br?nsted acid catalyst used for the reaction of indoles/4-hydroxy coumarin with aldehydes to obtain a bis(indolyl)methanes/bis(4-hydroxycoumarin-3-yl)methanes, respectively. The catalyst exhibited remarkable activity, and tolerated a wide variety of functional groups providing the desired bis(indolyl)methanes and bis(4-hydroxycoumarin-3-yl)methanes in good to excellent yield (70%-96%) in water.

In this paper we consider a sequence of Markov dependent bivariate trials whose each component results in an outcome success (0) and failure (1) i.e. we have a sequence {(Xn/Yn), n>=0} of S={(0/0),(0/1),(1/0),(1/1)}-valued Markov dependent bivariate trials. By using the method of conditional probability generating functions (pgfs), we derive the pgf of joint distribution of (X0n,k10,X1n,k11;Y0n,k20,Y1n,k21) where for i=0,1,Xin,k1i denotes the number of occurrences of i-runs of length k1i in the first component and Yin,k2i denotes the number of occurrences of i-runs of length k2i in the second component of Markov dependent bivariate trials. Further we consider two patterns Λ1 and Λ2 of lengths k1 and k2 respectively and obtain the pgf of joint distribution of (Xn,Λ 1,Yn,Λ2 ) using method of conditional probability generating functions where Xn,Λ1(Yn,Λ2) denotes the number of occurrences of pattern Λ1(Λ2 ) of length k1 (k2) in the first (second) n components of bivariate trials. An algorithm is developed to evaluate the exact probability distributions of the vector random variables from their derived probability generating functions. Further some waiting time distributions are studied using the joint distribution of runs.
