Visit-to-visit glycated hemoglobin A1c variability in adults with type 2 diabetes: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Background:Current practice uses the latest measure of glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc)to facilitate clinical *** have demonstrated that HbAlc variability links the risk of death and complications of ***,the role of HbAlc variability is unclear in clinical *** systematic review summarized the evidence of visit-to-visit HbAlc variability regarding different metrics in micro-and macro-vascular complications and death in people with type 2 ***:We searched PubMed,EMBASE(via OVID),and Cochrane Central register(CENTrAL,via OVID)for studies investigating the association between HbAlc variability and adverse outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes and performed random-effects meta-analysis stratified by HbAlc variability metrics in terms of standard deviation(SD),coefficient of variation(CV),and HbAlc variability score(HVS).results:In people with type 2 diabetes,the highest quantile of all three HbAlc variability metrics(HbAlc-standard deviation[HbAlc-SD],HbAlc-coefficient of variance[HbAlc-CV],and HVS)is associated with increased risks of all-cause mortality,cardiovascular events,progression to chronic kidney disease,amputation,and peripheral *** example,the hazard ratio of HbAlc-SD on all-cause mortality was 1.89 with 95%confidence interval(95%CI)1.46–2.45(HbAlc-CV 1.47,95%CI 1.26-1.72;HVS 1.67,95%CI 1.34–2.09).Conclusions:High HbAlc variability leads to micro-and macro-vascular complications of type 2 diabetes and related *** with type 2 diabetes and high HbAlc variability need additional attention and care for the potential adverse outcomes.

The Mesozoic intrusions of the Jiaodong Peninsula,eastern China,host giant gold *** the genesis of these deposits requires the determination of the source of the parental auriferous fluid and the timing of gold mineralization,which are strongly influenced by the cooling/uplift histories of the hosting *** performed an integrated U-Pb geochronology study on both zircon and apatite from four major magmatic episodes of the Jiaodong *** zircon and apatite U-Pb ages are 156.9±1.2 and 137.2±2.4 Ma for the Linglong intrusion,129.9±1.0 and 125.0±3.8 Ma for the Qujia intrusion,119.5±0.7 and 117.2±1.8 Ma for the Liulinzhuang intrusion,118.6±1.0 and 111.6±1.6 Ma for the Nansu intrusion,*** coupled zircon and apatite data of these granitoids indicate a slow cooling rate(11.9°C/Ma)in the Late Jurassic,and rapid uplift and cooling(35.8-29.2°C/Ma)in the Early *** dramatically increased uplift and cooling period in the Early Cretaceous are contemporaneous with large-scale gold mineralization in the Jiaodong *** implies that thermal upwelling of asthenosphere and related tectonic extension played an important role in gold remobilization and precipitation.

A Multilayer Perceptron Artificial Neural Network Study of Fatal road Traffic Crashes

This paper examines the relationship between fatal road traffic accidents and potential predictors using multilayer perceptron artificial neural network (MLANN) models. The initial analysis employed twelve potential predictors, including traffic volume, prevailing weather conditions, roadway characteristics and features, drivers’ age and gender, and number of lanes. Based on the output of the model and the variables’ importance factors, seven significant variables are identified and used for further analysis to improve the performance of models. The model is optimized by systematically changing the parameters, including the number of hidden layers and the activation function of both the hidden and output layers. The performances of the MLANN models are evaluated using the percentage of the achieved accuracy, r-squared, and Sum of Square Error (SSE) functions.

Light quality and temperature effects on antirrhinum growth and development

An experiment was carried out to examine the effects of light quality on the growth and development of antirrhinum under three different temperatures 19℃, 24℃ and 27℃ in glasshouses. Five different colour filters (i.e. 'red absorbing', 'Blue absorbing', 'Blue and red absorbing' and two 'partially Blue absorbing' materials) were tested, with one clear polythene as a control. Plant height, internode length and leaf area were significantly affected by the spectral filters as well as the *** of color filter's effect on presumed photoreceptors to exist indicated that antirrhinum plant height was regulated by the action of a blue acting photoreceptor (BAP) and not the phytochrome. There was no evidence for an effect ofphytochrome or BAP on time to flowering, however, increasing temperature levels effectively decreased the time to flowering. To predict the effects of different spectral qualities and temperature, simple models were created from data on plant height, internode length and time to flowering. These models were then applied to simulate the potential benefits of spectral filters and temperature in manipulation of growth control and flowering in antirrhinum.

Maximal number of distinct H-eigenpairs for a two-dimensional real tensor

Based on the generalized characteristic polynomial introduced by J. Canny in Generalized characteristic polynomials [J. Symbolic Comput., 1990, 9（3）： 241-250], it is immediate that for any m-order n-dimensional real tensor, the number of distinct H-eigenvalues is less than or equal to n（m-1）n-1. However, there is no known bounds on the maximal number of distinct H- eigenvectors in general. We prove that for any m ~〉 2, an m-order 2-dimensional tensor sd exists such that d has 2（m - 1） distinct H-eigenpairs. We give examples of 4-order 2-dimensional tensors with six distinct H-eigenvalues as well as six distinct H-eigenvectors. We demonstrate the structure of eigenpairs for a higher order tensor is far more complicated than that of a matrix. Further- more, we introduce a new class of weakly symmetric tensors, called p-symmetric tensors, and show under certain conditions, p-symmetry will effectively reduce the maximal number of distinct H-eigenveetors for a given two-dimensional tensor. Lastly, we provide a complete classification of the H-eigenvectors of a given 4-order 2-dimensional nonnegative p-symmetric tensor. Additionally, we give sufficient conditions which prevent a given 4-order 2-dimensional nonnegative irreducible weakly symmetric tensor from possessing six pairwise distinct H-eigenveetors.

AONS Ⅱ： Continuing Preservation Software the Trend Towards ＇Nirvana＇

File format obsolescence is a major risk factor threatening the sustainability of and access to digital information. While the preservation community has become increasingly interested in tools for migration and transformation of file formats, the National Library of Australia is developing mechanisms specifically focused on monitoring and assessing the risks of file format obsolescence. This paper reports on the AONS II project, undertaken by the National Library of Australia (NLA) in conjunction with the Australian Partnership for Sustainable repositories (APSr). The project aimed to develop a software tool which allows users to automatically monitor the status of file formats in their repositories, make risk assessments based on a core set of obsolescence risk questions, and receive notifications when file format risks change or other related events occur. This paper calls for the preservation community to develop a co-operating file format obsolescence community which includes registries, software tool creators and end users to effectively curate digital content in order to maintain long-term access.

Experimental quantum simulation of Avian Compass in a nuclear magnetic resonance system

Avian magnetoreception is the capacity for avians to sense the direction of the Earth's magnetic field. Discovered more than forty years ago, it has attracted intensive studies over the years. One promising model for describing this capacity in avians is the widely used reference-and-probe model where radical pairs within the eyes of bird combines to form singlet and triplet quantum *** yield depends on the angle between the Earth's magnetic field and the molecules' axis, hence the relative value of yield of the singlet state or triplet state enables avians to sense the direction. Here we report the experimental demonstration of avian magnetoreception in a nuclear magnetic resonance quantum information processor. It is shown clearly from the experiment that the yield of the singlet state attains maximum when it is normal to the Earth's magnetic field, and the experimental results agree with theory very well.

We report an NMr experimental realization of a rapid quantum deletion algorithm that deletes marked states in an unsorted *** classical deletion,where search and deletion are equivalent,quantum deletion can be implemented with only a single query,which achieves exponential speed-up compared to the optimal classical *** the experimental realization,the GrAPE algorithm was used to obtain an optimized NMr pulse sequence,and the efficient method of maximum-likelihood has been used to reconstruct the experimental output state.

LQG Controller Design Applied to a Pneumatic Stewart-Gough Platform

This paper is concerned with the practical application control of a pneumatically actuated Stewart-Gough platform with 6-degrees of freedom （6-DOF）. The control approach for motion control of the platform is presented using a modern control technique, namely, linear quadratic Gaussinn （LQG） with reference tracking. The LQG controller is the combination of a Kalman filter, i.e., a linear-quadratic estimator （LQE） with a linear-quadratic regulator （LQr）. The robustness of the control scheme is accessed under various load conditions, and the experimental results are shown.
