Objective:To study the comparative gastroprotective effect of Luffa acutangula methanolic extract(LAM) and aqueous extract(LAW) on typeⅡdiabetes ***:Streptozotocin(65 mg/kg,Lp.) along with nicotinamide(120 mg/kg,Lp.) was used to induce non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) in rats.A daily oral dose of aspirin(200 mg/kg,Lp.) was administered for initial seven days to induce gastric ulcerations in the diabetic *** and LAW were administered orally in the doses of 100,200 and 400 mg/kg once daily for 21 *** and ranitidine were used as standards for comparing the antidiabetic and antiulcer effect ***:LAM significantly(Preased mucosal glycoprotein and antioxidant enzyme level in gastric mucosa of diabetic rats than LAW(P reversing the delayed healing of gastric ulcer in diabetic rats close to the normal *** exhibited better ulcer healing effect than glibenclamide and LAW,because of its both antihyperglycemic and mucosal defensive ***:Thus,LAM is proved to be a better alternative for treating gastric ulcers co-occurring with diabetes.

Ophthalmic profile and systemic features of pediatric facial nerve palsy

Background: Facial nerve palsy(FNP) occurs less frequently in children as compared to adults but most cases are secondary to an identii able cause. These children may have a variety of ocular and systemic features associated with the palsy and need detailed ophthalmic and systemic ***: This was a retrospective chart review of all the cases of FNP below the age of 16 years, presenting to a tertiary ophthalmic hospital over the period of 9 years, from January 2000 to December ***: A total of 22 patients were included in the study. The average age at presentation was 6.08 years(range, 4 months to 16 years). Only one patient(4.54%) had bilateral FNP and 21 cases(95.45%) had unilateral FNP. Seventeen patients(77.27%) had congenital palsy and of these, five patients had a syndromic association, three had birth trauma and nine patients had idiopathic palsy. Five patients(22.72%) had an acquired palsy, of these, two had a traumatic cause and one patient each had neoplastic origin of the palsy, iatrogenic palsy after surgery for hemangioma and idiopathic palsy. Three patients had ipsilateral sixth nerve palsy, two children were diagnosed to have Moebius syndrome, one child had an ipsilateral Duane's syndrome with ipsilateral hearing loss. Corneal involvement was seen in eight patients(36.36%). Amblyopia was seen in ten patients(45.45%). Neuroimaging studies showed evidence of trauma, posterior fossa cysts, pontine gliosis and neoplasms such as a chloroma. Systemic associations included hemifacial macrosomia, oculovertebral malformations, Dandy Walker syndrome, Moebius syndrome and cerebral ***: FNP in children can have a number of underlying causes, some of which may be life threatening. It can also result in serious ocular complications including corneal perforation and severe amblyopia. These children require a multifaceted approach to their care.

Expeditious synthesis,antileishmanial and antioxidant activities of novel 3-substituted-4-hydroxycoumarin derivatives

A series of novel 3-substituted-4-hydroxycoumarin derivatives 6（a-1） were synthesized in high yield using one-pot three component coupling reaction catalyzed by ceric ammonium nitrate. These compounds were evaluated for antileishmanial activity against Leishmania donovani promastigotes and antioxidant activity（DPPH-radical scavenging activity）. Two compounds, 6h（IC50= 9.90 μmol/L） and 6i（IC50= 6.90 μmol/L） displayed potent antileishmanial activity when compared with standard antileishmanial agents pentamidine（IC50= 16.15 μmol/L） and miltefosine（IC50= 12.50 μmol/L）. Three compounds, 6c（IC50= 10.79 μmol/L）, 6h（IC50= 10.60 μmol/L）, and 6i（IC50= 10.73 μmol/L） showed significant antioxidant activity favorably with the antioxidant standards butylated hydroxy toluene（IC50= 16.47 μmol/L） and ascorbic acid（IC50= 12.69 μmol/L）. A molecular docking study of compounds 6（a-1） suggested a possible mode of binding with the Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase enzyme of ***. ADME properties were predicted in silico and support the potential of 6（a-1） to show favorable drug-like properties.

Evaluation of L-dopa,proximate composition with in vitro anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity of Mucuna macrocarpa beans:A future drug for Parkinson treatment

Objective: To investigate L-3, 4-dihydroxyphenylalanine(L-dopa, anti-Parkinson drug),anti-inflammatory activity, proximate nutritional composition and antioxidant potential of Mucuna macrocarpa(M. macrocarpa) ***: L-dopa content was determined and quantified by high performance thin layer chromatography and reversed phase high-performance liquid chromatography(rPHPLC) methods. Anti-inflammatory activity was performed by in vitro protein denaturation inhibition and human red blood cell membrane stabilisation activity. Proximate composition and elemental analysis were also investigated. The antioxidant potential(2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, N-N-dimethyl-phenylenediamine and ferric-reducing antioxidant power) of M. macrocarpa beans were evaluated by using different extraction solvents. The rP-HPLC analysis also quantified significant phenolics such as gallic acid, tannic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and p-coumaric ***: rP-HPLC quantification revealed that M. macrocarpa beans contain a high level of L-dopa [(115.41 ± 0.985) mg/g] which was the highest among the Mucuna species from Indian sub-continent. Water extract of seed powder showed strong antiinflammatory and antioxidant potential. Proximate composition of M. macrocarpa beans revealed numerous nutritional and anti-nutritional components. rP-HPLC analysis of major phenolics such as tannic acid(43.795 mg/g), gallic acid(0.864 mg/g), p-coumaric acid(0.364 mg/g) and p-hydroxybenzoic acid(0.036 mg/g) quantified successfully from M. macrocarpa beans ***: This study suggests that M. macrocarpa is a potential source of L-dopa with promising anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and nutritional benefits.

The prevalence of the Internet of Things(Io T) is unsteady in the context of cloud computing, it is difficult to identify fog and cloud resource scheduling policies that will satisfy users’ Qo S need. As a result, it increases the efficiency of resource usage and boosts user and resource supplier profit. This research intends to introduce a novel strategy for computing fog via emergencyoriented resource allotment, which aims and determines the effective process under different parameters. The modeling of a non-linear functionality that is subjected to an objective function and incorporates needs or factors like Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and reboot rate allows for the resource allocation of cloud to fog computing in this work. Apart from this, the proposed system considers the resource allocation in emergency priority situations that must cope-up with the immediate resource allocation as well. Security in resource allocation is also taken into consideration with this strategy. Thus the multi-objective function considers 3 objectives such as Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and reboot rate. All these strategies in resource allocation are fulfilled by Levy Flight adopted Particle Swarm Optimization(LF-PSO). The evaluation is performed to determine whether the developed strategy is superior to numerous traditional schemes. The cost function attained by the adopted technique is 120, which is 19.17%, 5%, and 2.5%greater than the conventional schemes like GWSO, EHO,and PSO, when the number of iterations is 50.

The study is an attempt to design a watershed scorecard by identifying and evaluating selected set of indicators,such as surface water quality,ground water quality,soil condition,agriculture condition,and forest condition,which accurately reflect the health of the *** river Watershed in Tikamgarh District,Madhya Pradesh was taken as a case study to assess the watershed *** was done by calculating different indices for the selected set of indicators and comparing them with the National standards and *** on the performance of each indicator,the grades were assigned to the indicators which helped in designing the watershed *** results revealed that within the watershed,the forest and soil conditions need a considerable plan for improvement in order to maintain the ecosystem whereas the surface water quality,groundwater quality and the agricultural conditions requires protection as well as enhancement in certain areas.

In present work,the vertically aligned Ni S nano-flakes composed thin film is prepared by anionic exchange process in which hydrothermally prepared Ni（OH）2is used as a parent thin film and Na2S as a sulfide ion *** synthesis process produced fully transformed and shape-controlled nano-flakes of Ni S from nano-flowers of Ni（OH）*** electrochemical supercapacitor properties of Ni S electrode are studied with cyclic voltammetry（CV）,galvonostatic charge discharge（GCD）and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）*** porous surface area（85 m^2/g）of Ni S nano-flakes makes large material contribution in electrochemical reaction stretching specific capacitance（Cs）of 880 F/g at scan rate of 5 m V/s and 90%electrochemical stability up to 4000 CV cycles in 2 M KOH ***,the flexible solid-state symmetric supercapacitor device（Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S）has been fabricated using Ni S electrodes with polyvinyl alcohol（PVA）–lithium perchlorate（Li ClO4）gel *** Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device exhibits specific capacitance of 56 F/g with specific energy of 14.98 Wh/kg and excellent cycling stability after 2000 *** addition,the Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device demonstrates illumination of red light emitting diode（LED）for 60 s,which confirms the practical applicability of Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device in energy storage.

We present multi-wavelength imagery of the merger remnant galaxy NGC 1316 with an objective to study the dust content and its association with the other phases of the interstellar medium. Color-index maps as well as extinction maps derived for this galaxy reveal an intricate and complex dust morphology in NGC 1316, i.e. there is a prominent lane in the inner part, while at about 6-7 kpc it apparently takes the form of an arc-like pattern extending along the northeast direction. In addition to this, several other dust clumps and knots are also evident in this galaxy. The dust emission mapped using Spitzer data at 8 μm indicates even more complex morphological structures of the dust in NGC 1316. The extinction curve derived over the optical to near-Ir bands closely follows the standard Galactic curve, suggesting similar properties of the dust grains. The dust content of NGC 1316, estimated from optical extinction, is ,- 2.13 × 10^5 M⊙. This is a lower limit compared to that estimated using the IrAS flux densities of ,-5.17× 10^6 M⊙ and the flux densities at 24, 70 and 160 p.m from MIPS ,-3.2× 10^7 M⊙. High resolution Chandra observations of this merger remnant system have provided an unprecedented view of the complex nature exhibited by the distribution of hot gas in NGC 1316, which closely matches the morphology of ionized gas and to some extent also the dust. X-ray color-color plots for the resolved sources within the optical D25 extent of NGC 1316 have enabled us to separate them into different classes.

Study of Polypyrrole-Coated MWCNT Nanocomposites for Ammonia Sensing at room Temperature

The nanocomposite of polypyrrole (PPy) and carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was synthesized by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization method using HCl as a dopant and Ammonium persulphate (APS) as an oxidant. The MWCNTs were carboxylic functionalized and were ultrasonicated to obtain uniform dispersion within the PPy matrix. Surface morphology of nanocomposites was investigated by Field Emission Scanning Electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and revealed that the functionalized MWCNTs were well embedded. X-ray diffraction (XrD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-Ir) Spectroscopy, raman spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectroscopy were used to characterize the synthesized PPy-MWCNT nanocomposite. It was found that in situ polymerized PPy layer matrix was formed on carboxylated MWCNT and there was uniform dispersion of MWCNTs within the PPy matrix with significant interaction between PPy and MWCNTs. The response of the prepared PPy-MWCNT nanocomposite sensors was studied in the form of sensitivity towards Ammonia gas (NH3). The synergistic effects of the PPy-coated MWCNTs improve the gas sensing properties. results showed that the sensitivity increased with NH3 concentration and it was also affected by the MWCNT content in PPy matrix. Furthermore, the sensor in pellet form reported here is robust, cost effective and relatively stable at room temperature.
