Effect of Deposition Potential on Synthesis, Structural,Morphological and Photoconductivity response of Cu2O Thin Films by Electrodeposition Technique

The present work describes the effect of deposition potentials on structural,morphological,optical,electrical and photoconductivity responses of cuprous oxide(Cu2O)thin films deposited on fluorine-doped tin oxide glass substrate by employing electrodeposition technique.X-ray diffraction patterns reveal that the deposited films have a cubic structure grown along the preferential(111)growth orientation and crystallinity of the film deposited at.0.4 V is improved compared to the films deposited at.0.2,.0.3 and.0.5 *** electron microscopy displays that surface morphology of Cu2O film has a well-defined three-sided pyramid-shaped grains which are uniformly distributed over the surface of the substrates and are significantly changed as a function of deposition *** and photoluminescence spectra manifest that the film deposited at.0.4 V has a good crystal quality with higher acceptor concentration compared to other ***–visible analysis illustrates that the absorption of Cu2O thin film deposited at.0.4 V is notably higher compared to other films and the band gap of Cu2O thin films decreases from 2.1 to 2.04 eV with an increase in deposition potential from.0.2 to.0.5 *** frequency–temperature dependence of impedance analysis shows that the film deposited at.0.4 V has a high conductivity.I– V measurements elucidate that the film deposited at.0.4 V exhibits a good photoconductivity response compared to films deposited in other deposition potentials.

Changes in the sucrose metabolism of Cur-cuma longa *** were studied under treatment with different triazole compounds viz.,triadimefon(TDM)and propiconazole(PCZ).Plants were treated with TDM at 15mg/L and PCZ at 10mg/L separately by soil drenching on 80,110,and 140 days after planting(DAP).The plants were harvested randomly on 90,120,and 150DAP to determine the effect of both the triazoles on sucrose metabolizing enzymes and phenol *** sucrose metabolism was studied by analyzing sucrose metaboliz-ing enzymes like sucrose synthase and sucrose phosphate *** the analyses were assayed in leaves and tubers of both control and treated *** was found that both of the triazole compounds had profound effects on these parameters.

Due to the recent proliferation of cyber-attacks,highly robust wireless sensor networks(WSN)become a critical issue as they survive node ***-free WSN is essential because they endure random attacks *** they are susceptible to malicious attacks,which mainly targets particular significant ***,the robustness of the network becomes important for ensuring the network *** paper presents a robust Hybrid Artificial Fish Swarm Simulated Annealing Optimization(rHAFS-SA)*** is introduced for improving the robust nature of free scale networks over malicious attacks(MA)with no change in degree *** proposed rHAFS-SA is an enhanced version of the Improved Artificial Fish Swarm algorithm(IAFSA)by the simulated annealing(SA)*** proposed rHAFS-SA algorithm eliminates the IAFSA from unforeseen vibration and speeds up the convergence *** experimentation,free scale networks are produced by the Barabási–Albert(BA)model,and real-world networks are employed for testing the outcome on both synthetic-free scale and real-world *** experimental results exhibited that the rHAFS-SA model is superior to other models interms of diverse aspects.

ED-SWE:Event detection based on scoring and word embedding in online social networks for the internet of people

Online social media networks are gaining attention worldwide,with an increasing number of people relying on them to connect,communicate and share their daily pertinent event-related *** detection is now increasingly leveraging online social networks for highlighting events happening around the world via the Internet of *** this paper,a novel Event Detection model based on Scoring and Word Embedding(ED-SWE)is proposed for discovering key events from a large volume of data streams of tweets and for generating an event summary using keywords and top-k *** proposed ED-SWE model can distill high-quality tweets,reduce the negative impact of the advent of spam,and identify latent events in the data streams ***,a word embedding algorithm is used to learn a real-valued vector representation for a predefined fixed-sized vocabulary from a corpus of Twitter *** order to further improve the performance of the Expectation-Maximization(EM)iteration algorithm,a novel initialization method based on the authority values of the tweets is also proposed in this paper to detect live events efficiently and ***,a novel automatic identification method based on the cosine measure is used to automatically evaluate whether a given topic can form a live *** conducted on a real-world dataset demonstrate that the ED-SWE model exhibits better efficiency and accuracy than several state-of-art event detection models.

Cloud data centers have become overwhelmed with data-intensive applications due to the limited computational capabilities of mobile *** edge computing is emerging as a potential paradigm to host application execution at the edge of networks to reduce transmission *** nodes are usually distributed in edge environments,enabling crucially efficient task scheduling among those nodes to achieve reduced processing ***,it is imperative to conserve edge server energy,enhancing their *** this end,this paper proposes a novel task scheduling algorithm named Energy-aware Double-fitness Particle Swarm Optimization(EA-DFPSO)that is based on an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm for achieving energy efficiency in an edge computing environment along with minimal task execution *** proposed EA-DFPSO algorithm applies a dual fitness function to search for an optimal tasks-scheduling scheme for saving edge server energy while maintaining service quality for *** experimentation demonstrates that our proposed EA-DFPSO algorithm outperforms the existing traditional scheduling algorithms to achieve reduced task completion time and conserve energy in an edge computing environment.

Antimutagenic potential of curcumin on chromosomal aberrations in Allium cepa

Turmeric has long been used as a spice and food colouring agent in Asia. In the present investigation, the antimutagenic potential of curcumin was evaluated in Allium cepa root meristem cells. So far there is no report on the biological properties of curcumin in plant test systems. The root tip cells were treated with sodium azide at 200 and 300 μg/ml for 3 h and curcumin was given at 5, 10 and 20 μg/ml for 16 h, prior to sodium azide treatment. The tips were squashed after colchicine treatment and the cells were analyzed for chromosome aberration and mitotic index. Curcumin induces chromosomal aberration in Allium cepa root tip cells in an insignificant manner, when compared with untreated control. Sodium azide alone induces chromosomal aberrations significantly with increasing concentrations. The total number of aberrations was significantly reduced in root tip cells pretreated with curcumin. The study reveals that curcumin has antimutagenic potential against sodium azide induced chromosomal aberrations in Allium cepa root meristem cells. In addition, it showed mild cytotoxicity by reducing the percentage of mitotic index in all curcumin treated groups, but the mechanism of action remains unknown. The antimutagenic potential of curcumin is effective at 5 μg/ml in Allium cepa root meristem cells.

Floating photovoltaic(FPV)systems are one of the globally emerging technologies of renewable energy production that tend to balance the water-energy demand by effectively saving the evaporated water from reservoirs while generating electrical *** study presents the performance analysis of a model FPV plant in an Indian *** Mettur dam reservoir located in Tamil Nadu,India with a hydroelectric power plant of 150-MW capacity is considered as a test *** preliminary design of the FPV plant is proposed based on a detailed study of the key design elements and their suitability for Indian *** proposed plant is numerically analysed for various tilt angles,mounting systems and tracking mechanisms in order to assess its potential power generation.A flat-mount system in landscape orientation was found to exhibit a high performance ***,a fixed-tilt FPV system with a panel slope of 10°and an FPV system with single-axis tracking were found to be suitable for the Mettur ***,cost analysis of the FPV system is also presented along with the carbon-footprint estimation to establish the economic and environmental benefits of the *** results show that the total potential CO_(2) saving by a FPV system with tracking is 135918.87 t CO_(2) and it is 12.5%higher than that of a fixed-mount FPV system.

Preliminary study on the antimicrobial activity of Enicostemma littorale using different solvents

Objective:To study the antimicrobial activity of Enicostemma littorale(***) using different ***:Chloroform,methanol and acetone extracts of different parts of ***(leaf,stem and root) were evaluated for antimicrobial activity using disc diffusion method against some gram-negative species such as Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pnemoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Salmonella typhi and gram-positive species Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus,Bacillus subtilis and two fugal species viz.,Aspergillus fumigates and Aspergillus ***:The chloroform extracts showed the highest antibacterial *** leaf, stem and root extracts,the stem extracts showed maximum antibacterial *** of the used extracts had no significant antifungal activity against Aspergillus fumigates and Aspergillus *** chloroform stem extract showed highest activity(about 20 mm inhibition zone) against Bacillus subtilis(at 500 tng/mL) followed by the methanolic stem extract which showed highest activity against the same *** lowest antibacterial activity was observed by the acetone leaf extract(about 8 mm inhibition zone) against Escherichia ***:The findings of the study indicate littorale could also be a new source for antibiotics discovery.

Enhancing the Antibacterial Efficiency of ZnO Nanopowders Synthesized by Combustion Method Through Ag+Fe Co-doping

（Ag ＋ Fe）-doped ZnO nanopowders have been synthesized using combustion method. Ag doping level was kept as 2 at.%, and Fe doping level was varied from 3 to 6 at,%, and the structural, optical, surface morphological, and antibacterial properties have been investigated. The structural studies show that ZnO/（Ag 4-Fe） nanopowders have hexagonal wurtzite structure with a preferential orientation along the （101） plane. The FE-SEM images indicate that there is a gradual decrease in the grain size with the increase in the doping level of Fe, and the TEM images are correlated well with FE-SEM images. The XPS profile clearly confirms the presence of expected elemental composition. Photolumi- nescence studies reveal the presence of extrinsic defects in the material. Antibacterial activity of Ag- and Fe-doped ZnO nanopowders against Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio Cholerae, and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was also investigated.
