Objective:To explore the larvicidal and pupicidal activity of Euphorbia hirta（***） leaf extract and Bacillus sphaericus（***） against the malarial *** siephensi（An. stephensi）.Methods:The larvicidal and pupicidal activity was assayed against *** at various concentrations ranging from（75-375 ppm） under the laboratory as well as field conditions. The LC50 and LC90 value of the *** leaf extract was determined by probit ***: The plant extract showed larvicidal effects after 24 h of exposure;however,the highest larval mortality was found in the methanol extract of *** against the first to fourth instars larvae and pupae of values LC50=137.40,172.65,217.81,269.37 and 332.39 ppm;*** against the first to fourth instars larvae and pupae of values LC50= 44.29,55.83,68.51,82.19 and 95.55 ppm, ***,combined treatment of values of LC50= 79.13,80.42,86.01,93.00 and 98.12 ppm,*** mortality was observed in the ***:These results suggest methanol leaf extracts of *** and *** have potential to be used as an ideal ecofriendly approach for the control of the malarial *** as target species of vector control *** study provides the first report on the combined mosquito larvicidal and pupicidal activity of this plant crude extract and bacterial toxin against *** mosquitoes.

The implementation of closed loop supply chain system is becoming essential for fashion leather products industry to ensure an economically sustainable business model and eco-friendly industrial practice as demanded by the environmental regulations, consumer awareness and the prevailing social consciousness. In this context, this research work addresses a closed loop supply chain network problem of fashion leather goods industry, with an objective of minimizing the total cost of the entire supply chain and also reducing the total waste from the end of life product returns. The research work commenced with a literature review on the reverse and closed loop supply chain network design problems of fashion and leather goods industry dealt in the past. Then, the identified CLSCND problem is solved using a mathematical model based on Mixed Integer Non-Linear Programme (MINLP) and then a suitable Hybrid Genetic Algorithm (HGA) developed for the CLSCND is implemented for obtaining optimum solution. Both the MINLP model and HGA are customized as per the CLSCND problem chosen and implemented for the industrial case of an Indian Fashion Leather Goods Industry. Finally, the solutions obtained for MINLP model in LINGO 15 and for HGA in *** platform are compared and presented. The optimum solution obtained from the suitable HGA is illustrated as an optimum shipment pattern for the closed loop supply chain network design problem of the fashion leather goods industry case.

目的研究抗氧化剂和吲哚生物碱在2种长春花(粉红色和白色)植株不同部位的分布。方法通过检测无酶活性的抗氧化分子含量和抗氧化酶活性测定抗氧化能力。无酶活性的抗氧化分子包括抗坏血酸、α-生育酚和还原型谷胱甘肽。抗氧化酶包括超氧化物歧化酶、抗坏血酸过氧化物酶、过氧化氢酶、过氧化物酶和多酚氧化酶。所用样品为从田间收集到的植株的根、茎、叶、花和豆荚。结果与其他部位比较,根和茎中抗氧化剂的含量较高,花和豆荚中含量最低。粉红色长春花中抗氧化剂和生物碱含量较高。叶中抗氧化酶的活性较高,但吲哚生物碱的含量在粉红色长春花的根中较高。结论对于抗氧化剂和生物碱含量而言,粉红色长春花更适合培养。

Development and Comparison of Hybrid Genetic Algorithms for Network Design Problem in Closed Loop Supply Chain

This paper presents four different hybrid genetic algorithms for network design problem in closed loop supply chain. They are compared using a complete factorial experiment with two factors, viz. problem size and algorithm. Based on the significance of the factor “algorithm”, the best algorithm is identified using Duncan’s multiple range test. Then it is compared with a mathematical model in terms of total cost. It is found that the best hybrid genetic algorithm identified gives results on par with the mathematical model in statistical terms. So, the best algorithm out of four algorithm proposed in this paper is proved to be superior to all other algorithms for all sizes of problems and its performance is equal to that of the mathematical model for small size and medium size problems.

Objective:To develop a novel approach for the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using aqueous leaves extracts of Catharanthus roseus(***) *** which has been proven aclive against malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum(***).Methods:Characterizations were determined by using ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis) spectrophotometry,scanning electron microscopy(SEM).energy dispersive X-ray and X-ray ***:SLM showed the formation of silver nanoparticles with an average size of 35-55 nm.X-ray diffraction analysts showed that the particles were crystalline in nature with face centred cubic structure of the hulk silver with the broad peaks at 32.***.46.4 and ***:It can be concluded that the leaves of *** can he good source for synthesis of silver nanoparticle which shows aiitiplasmodial activity against *** important outcome of the study will he the development of value added products from medicinal plants *** lor hionicdical and nanotechnology based industries.

This paper presents a simulated annealing algorithm to minimize makespan of single machine scheduling problem with uniform parallel machines. The single machine scheduling problem with uniform parallel machines consists of n jobs, each with single operation, which are to be scheduled on m parallel machines with different speeds. Since, this scheduling problem is a combinatorial problem;usage of a heuristic is inevitable to obtain the solution in polynomial time. In this paper, simulated annealing algorithm is presented. In the first phase, a seed generation algorithm is given. Then, it is followed by three variations of the simulated annealing algorithms and their comparison using ANOVA in terms of their solutions on makespan.

The growing global competition compels organizations to use many productivity improvement techniques. In this direction, assembly line balancing helps an organization to design its assembly line such that its balancing efficiency is maximized. If the organization assembles more than one model in the same line, then the objective is to maximize the average balancing efficiency of the models of the mixed model assembly line balancing problem. Maximization of average balancing efficiency of the models along with minimization of makespan of sequencing models forms a multi-objective function. This is a realistic objective function which combines the balancing efficiency and makespan. This assembly line balancing problem with multi-objective comes under combinatorial category. Hence, development of meta-heuristic is inevitable. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop three genetic algorithms for the mixed model assembly line balancing problem such that the average balancing efficiency of the model is maximized and the makespan of sequencing the models is minimized. Finally, these three algorithms and another algorithm in literature modified to solve the mixed-model assembly line balancing problem are compared in terms of the stated multi-objective function using a randomly generated set of problems through a complete factorial experiment.

This paper presents a survey of single machine scheduling problem with uniform parallel machines. The single machine scheduling problem with uniform parallel machines consists of n jobs, each with single operation, which are to be scheduled on m parallel machines with different speeds. These parallel machines are also called proportional machines or related machines. There are several measures of performance which are to be optimized in uniform parallel machines scheduling. Since, this scheduling problem is a combinatorial problem;usage of a heuristic is inevitable to obtain solution in polynomial time. This paper gives a classification of the literatures of this scheduling problem in three major categories, viz. offline scheduling, online scheduling and miscellaneous scheduling. In total, the available literatures are classified into 17 subgroups. Under each of the first two categories, the available literatures are discussed under different groups based on different measures of performance and non-preemptive/preemptive nature of the jobs. In the last category, the literatures are discussed under three subgroups, namely non-preemptive jobs, preemptive jobs and periodic jobs.

This paper considers machine-component cell formation problem of cellular manufacturing system. Since this problem comes under combinatorial category, development of a meta-heuristic is a must. In this paper, a hybrid genetic algorithm is presented. Normally, in genetic algorithm, the initial population is generated by random assignment of genes in each of the chromosomes. In this paper, the initial population is created using ideal seed heuristic. The proposed algorithm is compared with four other algorithms using 28 problems from literature. Through a completed factorial experiment, it is observed that the proposed algorithm outperforms the other algorithms in terms of grouping efficiency as well as grouping efficacy.
