Cystic Echinococcosis (CE) is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by the larval stage of the cestode Echinococcus granulosus. Hydatid cyst is a significant universal medical problem. In human cestode involves any organ and develops to hydatid cyst. Liver is the first and most frequently involved organ as the liver is the primary filter station of portal circulation. Though hydatid disease is benign disease, traditionally surgery is the treatment of choice for complete elimination of infective focus, which is associated with considerable mortality, morbidity. Systemic chemotherapy and percutaneous drainage have evolved in the recent past as an alternative to conventional surgery. The safety and success rate of these methods is influenced by the size, stage, location of the cysts and associated complications. Benzimidazoles can be considered in multiple, small hydatid cysts, but large cysts (cysts > 6 cm), bone marrow depression, pregnancy are contraindications of pharmacotherapy. Percutaneous drainage combined with ALB is a safe and effective treatment in liver hydatid patients with a surgical contraindication and younger cysts, but the presence of certain radiological signs (pericystic ducts and exophytic components) is a contraindication to non-surgical management because of the danger of biliary obstruction. However, the surgical treatment technique also cannot be standardized, should be tailored according to the cyst relation to the Broncho, biliary, vascular structures and associated complications if any. This review will focus on role of imaging in establishing the diagnosis, in determining cyst location, size, stage of the cyst and in identifying any associated complications, so that enable the clinician to perform recommended therapeutic procedures for the different cyst types and tailor the procedure performed based on cyst relation to broncho, biliary, vascular structures and associated complications.

Tin monosulphide(SnS) thin films capped by PVA have been successfully deposited on glass substrates for cost effective photovoltaic device applications by a simple and low-cost wet chemical process, chemical bath deposition(CBD) at different bath temperatures varying in the range, 50–80 °C. X–ray diffraction analysis showed that the deposited films were polycrystalline in nature, showing orthorhombic structure with an intense peak corresponding to(040) plane of SnS. These observations were further confirmed by raman analysis. FTIr spectra showed the absorption bands which corresponds to PVA in addition to *** scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy studies revealed that the deposited SnS films were uniform and nanostructured with an average particle size of 4.9 to 7.6 nm. The optical investigations showed that the layers were highly absorbing with the optical absorption coefficient ～10~5 cm^(-1). A decrease in optical band gap from 1.92 to 1.55 eV with an increase of bath temperature was observed. The observed band gap values were higher than the bulk value of 1.3 eV, which might be due to quantum confinement effect. The optical band gap values were also used to calculate particle size and the results are discussed.

Indonesia is the most producer of crude palm oil (CPO) worldwide with production more that 25 million tons in 2013. Through increasing production of CPO the wastes generated are growing up as well. The empty fruit bunch of oil palm (EFB) is one of the solid waste (biomass) which is generated at the palm oil mill. Its amount is equivalent to the CPO production, but only about 50% of its weight are good fibers for further usage as industrial raw material. The EFB fiber consists an interesting honey comb/lightweight structure. By mixing the EFB natural fiber with bio binding agent based on potato the environmental friendly materials (biocomposites) can be produced which are 100% biodegadrable. The biocomposites with 2 mm thickness have strengthness about 7 GPa according to the 3 points bending test standard of DIN 53 457. After coating process the environmental friendly lightweight materials with density less than 0.4 g/cm3 will be ready to be implemented for different technical applications.

目的　探讨左心室室壁瘤 (left ventricular aneurysm,L VA)的外科治疗效果。　方法　 33例 L VA患者行闭式折叠术 1例 ,L VA切除后行标准线性修补术 14例 ,心内膜荷包环缩法 10例 ,心内室壁瘤缝合法 8例。其中 2 0例在心脏不停跳下完成手术。所有患者均同期行冠状动脉旁路移植术 (CABG) ,每例移植血管 3.2± 1.1支。应用主动脉内球囊反搏 (IABP) 6例。　结果　 32例手术成功 ,手术死亡 1例 ;术后发生并发症 9例 ,其中低心排血量 6例、室性心律失常 2例、脑并发症 1例。术后早期随访 1～ 3个月 ,超声心动图示患者心功能均获改善 ,心绞痛缓解或消失。结论　L VA的外科治疗中 ,应用左心室几何重建技术和心脏不停跳及同期行 CABG能获得较好的临床治疗效果。

Forest Dwellers’ Perception on Climate Change and Their Adaptive Strategies to Withstand Impacts in Mizoram, North-East India

We studied the perception of forest-dependent communities on climate change with its associated risk and their adaptation strategies in Mizoram, Northeast India. A total of 360 respondents (household heads) were randomly selected from 24 villages across the three different agro-climatic zones prevalent. The community perceived awareness of climate change phenomena in the region with a positive correlation between age, education and occupation of the respondents. The overall perception of climate change in temperature was medium (0.49), while low for change in precipitation (0.26) and seasonal durability (0.23). The community showed over-all low score of perception on risk of climate change (0.10) where risk on livelihood and socio-economic factors was higher than risk to environment or forest. Perception on impact of climate change was high for forest abi-otic ecological factors (0.66) and flora and fauna (0.62), while medium on livelihood of forest-dependent communities (0.44). The majority (more than 75%) of the respondents agreed that human beings are involved and responsible for climate change. Adoption of adaptive strategies to cope climate change ranged from 0.07 to 0.91, amongst which zero tillage, use of traditional knowledge, forest fire prevention, soil and water conservation techniques, agroforestry practices and social forestry are popular. However, rain water harvesting and investments for crop insurance were adopted on low scores clearly implied by the educational and socio-economic status of the farmers in the majority. The study brings out the knowledge and perceptions to climate change by forest-dependent communities and their adaptive strategies to cope had been assessed. The finding results seek the attention of researchers and policy makers to integrate technological and financial interventions in supporting farmer’s effort to cope with climate change with a long term objective for improving their livelihood and climate sensitive resources at the

Several obstacles to the production,expansion and genetic modification of immunotherapeutic T cells in vitro have restricted the widespread use of T-cell *** the context of HSCT,delayed naïve T-cell recovery contributes to poor outcomes.A novel approach to overcome the major limitations of both T-cell immunotherapy and HSCT would be to transplant human T-lymphoid progenitors(HTLPs),allowing reconstitution of a fully functional naïve T-cell pool in the patient ***,it is challenging to produce HTLPs in the high numbers required to meet clinical ***,we found that adding tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNFα)to a DL-4-based culture system led to the generation of a large number of nonmodified or genetically modified HTLPs possessing highly efficient in vitro and in vivo T-cell potential from either CB HSPCs or mPB HSPCs through accelerated T-cell differentiation and enhanced HTLP cell cycling and *** study provides a clinically suitable cell culture platform to generate high numbers of clinically potent nonmodified or genetically modified HTLPs for accelerating immune recovery after HSCT and for T-cell-based immunotherapy(including CAr T-cell therapy).
