The Andaman Forearc Basin （AFB） is asymmetric in configuration and filled with a-6 km-thick pile of Neogene to recent sediments （-4 s in two-way travel time： TWT） with distinct zonation. It shows gradual thinning up to -3 km （0.8 s in TWT） towards the eastern end with a seabed gradient of 1：30. Thick deformed sediments -2 s （TWT） of the Outerarc are associated with intense faulting and occasional folding caused by recent tectonics. Development of a series of faults within the upwarped sedimentary column of Oligocene top to recent is observed with a rotated fault block. These features are manifestations of recent igneous intrusion, and reveal the presence of a mild N-S compressional regime. Its effect on the AFB resulted in further uplift of sediments, which can now be seen as the Invisible Bank. Forward gravity modelling supporting our seismic interpretation reveals that it is associated with igneous intrusion from the Moho （-9 km depth）, and also suggests that continental crust underlies the AFB. Strong Bottom Simulating reflector （BSr）-like features in the Miocene sediments of Outerarc and Forearc basin at a depth of 0.6 s below the seabed suggest the inferred probable occurrence of gas hydrates in the AFB.

We present an analysis of structural, electronic, and mechanical properties of cubic titanium dioxide （TiO2） using an all electron orthogonalzed linear combinations of atomic orbitals （OLCAO） basis set under the framework of density functional theory （DFT）. The structural property, especially the lattice constant a, and the electronic properties such as the band diagram and density of states （DOS） are studied and analyzed. The mechanical properties such as bulk moduli, shear moduli, Young＇s Moduli, and Poison＇s ratio are also investigated thoroughly. The calculations are carried out on shear moduli and anisotropy factor for cubic TiO2. The Vickers hardness is also tested for fluorite and pyrite cubic-structured TiO2. Furthermore, the results are compared with the previous theoretical and experimental results. It is found that DFT- based simulation produces results which are approximation to experimental results, whereas the calculated elastic constants are better than the previous theoretical and experimental values.

A digitally controlled oscillator（DCO） using a three-transistor XOr gate as the variable load has been presented.A delay cell using an inverter and a three-transistor XOr gate as the variable capacitance is also proposed. Three-,five- and seven-stage DCO circuits have been designed using the proposed delay *** output frequency is controlled digitally with bits applied to the delay *** three-bit DCO shows output frequency and power consumption variation in the range of 3.2486-4.0267 GHz and 0.6121-0.3901 mW,respectively,with a change in the control word *** five-bit DCO achieves frequency and power of 1.8553-2.3506 GHz and 1.0202-0.6501 mW,respectively,with a change in the control word ***,the seven-bit DCO shows a frequency and power consumption variation of 1.3239-1.6817 GHz and 1.4282-0.9102 mW,respectively, with a varying control word *** power consumption and output frequency of the proposed circuits have been compared with earlier reported circuits and the present approaches show significant improvements.

The new lanthanum (Ⅲ) and praseodymium (Ⅲ) complexes of the general formula [Ln(L)3] (Ln=La(Ⅲ) or Pr(Ⅲ); Lk=potassium salt of dithiocarbazinates) were prepared by both, conventional thermal and by the use of microwave technology. Elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic moment and electronic, infrared, far-infrared, 1H and 13C NMr spectral studies were used to characterize the complexes. The molecular weights of few complexes were determined by FAB-mass spectra. Nephelauxetic ratio, covalency parameter and bonding parameter for these complexes were also calculated. The probable structures of the complexes were proposed. The antifungal and antibacterial activities of the complexes were evaluated. The activities were correlated with the structures of the compounds.

This article introduces a singleton type-1 fuzzy logic system(T1-SFLS) controller and Fuzzy-WDO hybrid for the autonomous mobile robot navigation and collision avoidance in an unknown static and dynamic environment. The WDO(Wind Driven Optimization) algorithm is used to optimize and tune the input/output membership function parameters of the fuzzy controller. The WDO algorithm is working based on the atmospheric motion of infinitesimal small air parcels navigates over an N-dimensional search domain. The performance of this proposed technique has compared through many computer simulations and real-time experiments by using khepera-Ⅲ mobile robot. As compared to the T1-SFLS controller the Fuzzy-WDO algorithm is found good agreement for mobile robot navigation.

Dwindling supply and unpredictable price fluctuations of fossil fuels have necessitated a renewed worldwide search for alter- native fuels. Plant cell walls, rich in cellulose and hemicellulose, are actively pursued for their use in production of second-gen- eration biofuels. It has been envisioned that degradation of these carbohydrate polymers to their sugar monomer subu- nits （saccharification） will provide necessary substrates for their yeast-mediated fermentation to ethanol.

Black gram is dominant pulse crop of the *** coefficient is an important parameter,which needs to be determined for accurate estimates of the crop water *** coefficient,the ratio of potential crop evapotranspiration to reference evapotranspiration,is an important parameter in irrigation planning and ***,this information is not available for many important crops in the study region.A study was undertaken to develop crop coefficients for black gram crop,and a comparison is made of single and dual crop coefficient approaches to estimate actual crop evapotranspiration under the climatic conditions of Udaipur,*** coefficient was developed from daily measured black gram evapotranspiration(ETBG)data by electronic weighing lysimeter and reference evapotranspiration calculated using standard Penman-Monteith *** measured values of crop coefficient for the crop were 0.48,1.18 and 0.33 during initial,mid-season and late-season *** evaluation of different approaches showed that daily ETBG estimate based on dual crop coefficient method have been found best(SE=0.40,r=0.96).Furthermore,a quadratic curve(second-order polynomial)method were fitted well(SE=0.47,r=0.94)to predict crop coefficient values as function of days after sowing(DAS).These locally developed and evaluated values can be used for proper irrigation planning in water scarcity area of Udaipur and other areas with similar agro-ecological conditions.

Continental rifting and magmatism has been extensively studied worldwide as it is believed that continental rifting, break up of continents and associated magmatism lead to genesis of new oceanic crust. However, various regions of the world show that these processes may lead to genesis of other types of crust than the oceanic crust. Laxmi Basin in the western continental margin of the India is one such region with an enigmatic *** to its extreme strategic significance for the palaeogeographic reconstruction of continents during Cretaceous continental breakup of India, this basin has attracted various workers for more than two decades. However, still the issue of nature of crust in the basin remains controversial. In this contribution, in order to identify nature of crust, mechanism of continental extension in the Laxmi Basin has been studied for the first time through newly acquired seismic data from the basin. Here, we propose a plausible mechanism of crustal extension in the Laxmi Basin which eventually constrains the nature of crust of the Laxmi Basin. We have demonstrated that the crust in the Laxmi Basin can be categorised in two zones of stretched and transitional crust. In the stretched zone several fault bounded horst and graben structures are identified which preserve syn- and post-rift sediments along with different periods of hiatus in sedimentations as unconformities. These faults are identified as listric faults in the upper crust which sole out in the detachment *** faults decouples the upper brittle and lower ductile crust. The transitional crust is identified as heavily intruded by sills and basaltic volcanic which were emplaced due to melting of subcontinental mantle（SCM） after hyper-stretching of crust and serpentinisation of the SCM. Panikkar ridge is proposed to be one such basaltic volcanic body derived from melting of lower part of the SCM.

The present paper focused on the detection of methanol and propanol using Pd-gate metal-oxide-semiconductor （MOS） sensor. Surface mor- phology and composition of the gate film were studied by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The response of the sensor for propanol and methanol was measured as shift in capacitance-voltage （C-V） and conductance-voltage （G-V） curves of the MOS structure. The sensitivity of the sensor towards methanol was found to be greater than that towards propanol. It was 58.2% for methanol and 32% for propanol （at 0.6 V, 1 MHz） in terms of capacitance measurements, while in terms of conductance results the sensitivity was found to be 57.2% for methanol and 38.9% for propanol at 1 kHz. The discontinuities or cracks present in the microstructure of the gate material are believed to be mainly responsible for the high sensitivity of the sensor, going with the decomposition of gas molecules and subsequent hydrogen permeation through Pd.
