Differential and total cross sections of the γp→π0p and the γd→π0pn reaction were measured for photon energies between 640 and 1 150 MeV. The data have been compared with SAID and MAID model calculations. π0 photoproduction on the deuteron shows a strong suppression of the 2nd resonance which is clearly seen in the γp→π0p reaction.

Dear Editor,We report a case of Purtscher-like retinopathy in a patient with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Fundus examination revealed extensive peripapillary white retinal patches(Purtscher’s fleckens)and cotton-wool spots(CWS)with minor hemorrhage bilaterally,consistent with Purtscher-like *** coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)showed multiple irregular areas of capillary nonperfusion.

Evolinguistics is an attempt to clarify the origins and evolution of language and communication,thereby deepening our understanding of humans from an evolutionary *** origins of language is characterized by the biological evolution of abilities related to language and communication,and the evolution of language by the structuralization and complexification of language knowledge as well as communication systems through cultural *** Evolinguistics,two idiosyncrasies of human linguistic communication are the primary focus,namely,using hierarchically organized symbol sequences in language and sharing intentions in *** believe that the integration of these two characteristics made humans co-creative and smart,and in particular gave us knowledge co-creation *** emergent constructive approach plays an important role in this research,which is a methodology to analyze complex systems by constructing and operating the evolutionary and emergent process of complex *** studies taking this approach are introduced in this *** is a language evolution experiment in a laboratory to consider the process,mechanisms,and neural basis of symbolic communication *** other is an evolutionary simulation of recursive combination,which is thought of as the essential ability to form hierarchical structures.A hypothesis integrating intention sharing and recursive combination is discussed as an abductive reasoning mechanism for understanding others intentions.

Flow separation occurs over the compression comers generated by deflected control surfaces on hypersonic re-entry vehicles and in the inlet of scram jet engines. Configurations like a double wedge and double cone model are useful for studying the separated flow features. Flow fields around concave comers are relatively complicated and produce several classical viscous flow features depending on the combination of the first and second wedge or cone half apex angles. Particularly characteristic phenomena are mainly shock/boundary layer, shock/shock interaction, unsteady shear layers and non-linear shock oscillations. Although most of these basic gas dynamics characteristics are well known, it is not clear what happens at high enthalpy conditions. This paper reports a result of flow fields over a double wedge at a stagnation enthalpy of 4.8 MJ/kg. The experiment was carried out in a free piston shock tunnel at a nominal Mach number of 6.99. Schlieren and double exposure holographic interferometry were applied to visualize the flow field over the double wedge.

In this paper,we shall give a complete structural description of generalizations of the classical Eisenstein formula that expresses the first periodic Bernoulli polynomial as a finite combination of cotangent values,as a relation between two bases of the vector space of periodic Dirichlet *** shall also determine the limiting behavior of them,giving rise to Gauss' famous closed formula for the values of the digamma function at rational points on the one hand and elucidation of Eisenstein-Wang's formulas in the context of Kubert functions on the other.W shall reveal that most of the relevant previous results are the combinations of the generalized Eisenstein formula and the functional equation.

Brain hypothermia treatment （BHT） is an active therapy for severe brain injury. It makes the temperature of the brain track a given temperature input curve so as to reduce the risk of tissue damage. BHT requires a brain-temperature control system because of environmental disturbances and changes in the human body. The thermal models of the human body devised so far are usually of a very high order and are not suitable for controlling brain temperature. This paper presents a method of finding a reducedorder thermal model of the human body for use in BHT. It combines minimal realization and balanced realization. Unlike other methods, this method yields a reduced-order model that is based on system theory and that takes the frequency characteristics of human thermal sensation into account. It features high precision in the frequency band for BHT and is suitable for the control of brain temperature.

A New Acylated Anthocyanin from the red Flowers of Camellia hongkongensis and Characterization of Anthocyanins in the Section Camellia Species

Twelve anthocyanins （1-12） were isolated from the red flowers of Camellia hongkongensis Seem. by chromatography using open columns. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses, that is, proton-nuclear magnetic resonance, carbon 13-nuclear magnetic resonance, heteronuclear multiple quantum correlation, heteronuclear multiple bond correlation, high resolution electrospray ionization mass and ultraviolet visible spectroscopies. Out of these anthocyanins, a novel acylated anthocyanin, cyanidin 3-O-（6-O-（Z）-p-coumaroyl）-β-galactopyranoside （6）, two known acylated anthocyanins, cyanidin 3-O-（6-O-（E）-p-coumaroyl）-β-galactopyranoside （7） and cyanidin 3-O-（6-O-（E）-caffeoyl）-^- galactopyranoside （8）, and three known delphinidin glycosides （10-12） were for the first time isolated from the genus Camellia. Furthermore, pigment components in C. japonica L., C. chekiangoleosa Hu and C. semiserrata Chi were studied. The results indicated that the distribution of anthocyanins was differed among these species. Delphinidin glycoside was only detected in the flowers of C. hongkongensis, which is a special and important species in the section Camellia. Based on the characterization of anthocyanins in the section Camellia species, there is a close relationship among these species, and C. hongkongensis might be an important parent for creating new cultivars with bluish flower color.
