Direct recycling is a novel approach to overcoming the drawbacks of conventional lithium-ion battery(LIB)recycling processes and has gained considerable attention from the academic and industrial sectors in recent *** primary objective of directly recycling LIBs is to efficiently recover and restore the active electrode materials and other components in the solid phase while retaining electrochemical *** technology's advantages over traditional pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy are costeffectiveness,energy efficiency,and sustainability,and it preserves the material structure and morphology and can shorten the overall recycling *** review extensively discusses the advancements in the direct recycling of LIBs,including battery sorting,pretreatment processes,separation of cathode and anode materials,and regeneration and quality enhancement of electrode *** encompasses various approaches to successfully regenerate high-value electrode materials and streamlining the recovery process without compromising their electrochemical ***,we highlight key challenges in direct recycling when scaled from lab to industries in four perspectives:(1)battery design,(2)disassembling,(3)electrode delamination,and(4)commercialization and *** on these challenges and changing market trends,a few strategies are discussed to aid direct recycling efforts,such as binders,electrolyte selection,and alternative battery designs;and recent transitions and technological advancements in the battery industry are presented.

Experiments have identified the rayleigh–Taylor(rT)instability as one of the greatest obstacles to achieving inertial confinement ***,mitigation strategies to reduce rT growth and fuel–ablator mixing in the hotspot during the deceleration phase of the implosion are of great *** this work,the effect of seed magnetic fields on deceleration-phase rT growth are studied in planar and cylindrical geometries under conditions relevant to the National Ignition Facility(NIF)and Omega *** magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)and resistive-MHD capabilities of the FLASH code are used to model imploding cylinders and planar blast-wave-driven *** target and laser parameters are presented that suggest the occurrence of morphological differences in late-time rT evolution in the cylindrical NIF case and a measurable difference in spike height of single-mode growth in the planar NIF *** results of this study indicate the need for target designs to utilize an rT-unstable foam–foam interface in order to achieve sufficient magnetic field amplification to alter rT *** FLASH simulations are used to study these magnetic field effects in both resistive and ideal MHD.

In recent years,Peripheral blood smear is a generic analysis to assess the person’s health *** testing of Peripheral blood smear images are difficult,time-consuming and is subject to human intervention and visual *** method encouraged for researchers to present algorithms and techniques to perform the peripheral blood smear analysis with the help of computer-assisted and decision-making *** cAD based methods are lacks in attaining the accurate detection of abnormalities present in the *** order to mitigate this issue Deep convolution Neural Network(DcNN)based automatic classification technique is introduced with the classification of eight groups of peripheral blood cells such as basophil,eosinophil,lymphocyte,monocyte,neutrophil,erythroblast,platelet,myocyte,promyocyte and *** proposed DcNN model employs transfer learning approach and additionally it carries three stages such as pre-processing,feature extraction and *** the pre-processing steps are incorporated to eliminate noisy contents present in the image by using Histogram Equalization(HE).It is enclosed to improve an image *** order to distinguish the dissimilar class and segmentation approach is carried out with the help of Fuzzy c-Means(FcM)model whereas its centroid point optimality method with Slap Swarm based optimization *** some specific set of Gray Level co-occurrence Matrix(GLcM)features of the segmented images are extracted to augment the performance of proposed detection *** the extracted features are recorded by DcNN and the proposed classifier has the capability to extract their own *** on this the diverse set of classes are classified and distinguished from qualitative abnormalities found in the image.

BAcKGrOUND radiocarpal dislocations are rare but potentially devastating *** outcomes are associated with inadequate or lost reduction,such as ulnar translocation,but no consensus exists on the ideal fixation *** bridge plate fixation has been described for various settings in the treatment of complex distal radius fractures and can be fixed distally to the second or third metacarpal,but its application for radiocarpal dislocations has not been *** To determine whether distal fixation to the second or third metacarpal *** Using a cadaveric radiocarpal dislocation model,the effect of distal fixation was studied in two stages:(1)A pilot study that investigated the effect of distal fixation alone;and(2)a more refined study that investigated the effect of described techniques for distal and proximal *** were measured in various parameters to determine the quality of the reduction *** The pilot study found that focusing on distal fixation alone without changing proximal fixation results in ulnar translocation and volar subluxation when fixing distally to the second metacarpal compared with the *** second iteration demonstrated that anatomic alignment in coronal and sagittal planes could be achieved with each *** In a cadaveric radiocarpal dislocation model,anatomic alignment can be maintained with bridge plate fixation to the second metacarpal or the third metacarpal if the described technique is *** considering dorsal bridge plate fixation for radiocarpal dislocations,the surgeon is encouraged to understand the nuances of different fixation techniques and how implant design features may influence proximal placement.

Neutronic analysis of Indian helium-cooled solid breeder tritium breeding module for testing in ITEr

India has proposed the helium-cooled solid breeder blanket concept as a tritium breeding module to be tested in *** module has lithium titanate for tritium breeding and beryllium for neutron *** also enhances tritium breeding.A design for the module is prepared for detailed *** analysis is performed to assess the tritium breeding rate,neutron distribution,and heat distribution in the *** tritium production distribution in submodules is evaluated to support the tritium transport *** tritium breeding density in the radial direction of the module is also assessed for further optimization of the *** heat deposition profile of the entire module is generated to support the heat removal circuit *** estimated neutron spectrum in the radial direction also provides a more in-depth picture of the nuclear interactions inside the material *** total tritium produced in the HcSB module is around 13.87 mg per full day of operation of ITEr,considering the 400 s ON time and 1400 s dwell *** estimated nuclear heat load on the entire module is around 474 kW,which will be removed by the high-pressure helium cooling *** heat deposition in the test blanket model(TBM)is huge(around 9 GJ)for an entire day of operation of ITEr,which demonstrates the scale of power that can be produced through a fusion reactor *** per the Brayton cycle,it is equivalent to 3.6 GJ of electrical *** terms of power production,this would be around 1655 MWh *** evaluation is carried out using the McNP5 Monte carlo radiation transport code and FEDNL 2.1 nuclear cross section *** HcSB TBM neutronic performance demonstrates the tritium production capability and high heat deposition.

rural implementation of the perioperative surgical home:A case-control study

BAcKGrOUND Perioperative surgical home(PSH)is a novel patient-centric surgical system developed by American Society of Anesthesiologist to improve outcomes and patient *** has proven success in large urban health centers by reducing surgery cancellation,operating room time,length of stay(LOS),and readmission ***,only limited studies have assessed the impact of PSH on surgical outcomes in rural *** To evaluate the newly implemented PSH system at a community hospital by comparing the surgical outcomes using a longitudinal case-control *** The research study was conducted at an 83-bed,licensed level-III trauma rural community hospital.A total of 3096 TJr procedures were collected retrospectively between January 2016 and December 2021 and were categorized as PSH and non-PSH cohorts(n=2305).To evaluate the importance of PSH in the rural surgical system,a case-control study was performed to compare TJr surgical outcomes(LOS,discharge disposition,and 90-d readmission)of the PSH cohort against two control cohorts[control-1 PSH(c1-PSH)(n=1413)and control-2 PSH(c2-PSH)(n=892)].Statistical tests including chi-square test or Fischer’s exact test were performed for categorical variables and Mann-Whitney test or Student’s t-test were performed for continuous *** general linear models(Poisson regression and binomial logistic regression)were performed to fit adjusted *** The LOS was significantly shorter in PSH cohort compared to two control cohorts(median PSH=34 h,c1-PSH=53 h,c2-PSH=35 h)(P valuerly,the PSH cohort had lower percentages of discharges to other facilities(PSH=3.5%,c1-PSH=15.5%,c2-PSH=6.7%)(P valuere was no statistical difference observed in 90-d readmission between control and PSH ***,the PSH implementation reduced the 90-d readmission percentage(PSH=4.7%,c1-PSH=6.1%,c2-PSH=3.6%)lower than the national average 30-d readmission percentage which is 5.5%.The PSH system was effecti
