In this article upconversion luminescence of silver nanoparticles（AgNPs） coated NaYF4：Er3＋/Yb3＋phosphor nano-particles was *** prepared samples were characterized through various *** surface plasmon band is observed for prepared AgNPs by analyzing UV-vis measurements and is used to enhance the upconversion *** the upconversion measurement the emission bands are observed at 522,546,and 656 nm corresponding to the 2 H11/2→ 4115/2,4 S3/2→4 I15/2and 4 F9/2→4 I15/2 levels,*** upconversion emission intensity of the above bands is found to enhance for sample containing 1 mmol *** time of 4 S3/2 and 4F9/2 levels is found to decrease on coating of AgNPs and hence intensity enhancement is assumed due to the surface plasmon resonance（SPr） effect.

In this paper the reliability and performance of a vapour compression refrigeration system with ZnO nanoparticles in the working fluid was investigated experimentally. Nanorefrigerant was synthesized on the basis of the concept of the nanofluids, which was prepared by mixing ZnO nanoparticles with r152a refrigerant. The conventional refrigerant r134a has a global warming potential （GWP） of 1300 whereas r152a has a significant reduced value of GWP of 140 only. An experimental test rig is designed and fabricated indigenously in the laboratory to carry out the investigations. ZnO nanopar- ticles with refrigerant mixture were used in HFC r152a refrigeration system. The system performance with nanoparticles was then investigated. The concentration of nano ZnO ranges in the order of 0.1% v, 0.3% v and 0.5%v with particle size of 50nm and 150g of r152a was charged and tests were conducted. The compressor suction pressure, discharge pressure and evaporator temperature were measured. The results indicated that ZnO nanore- frigerant works normally and safely in the system. The ZnO nanoparticle concentration is an important factor considered for heat transfer enhancement in the refrigera- tion system. The performance of the system was significantly improved with 21% less energy consumption when 0.5%v ZnO-r152a refrigerant. Both the suction pressure and discharge pressure were lowered by 10.5% when nanorefrigerant was used. The evaporator tempera- ture was reduced by 6% with the use of nanorefrigerant. Hence ZnO nanoparticles could be used in refrigeration system to considerably reduce energy consumption. The usage of r 152a with zero ozone depleting potential （ODP） and very less GWP and thus provides a green and clean environment. The complete experimental results and their analysis are reported in the main paper.

This study evaluated the therapeutic effects of the phytomedicine,ethyl acetate fraction of the Cynanchum peniculatum (EACP) and bee venom (BV) of the honey bee (Apis mellifera) for the treatment of experimental stifle osteoarthritis (OA) in 24 skeletally mature mixed small breed dogs (age 2 to 6 years,weight 2. 8 to 9 kg). One year after induction of OA,the animals were randomly allocated in 2 groups; the EACP-group received 10% solution of EACP 0. 5mL plus 0. 2 mL lidocaine; and the BV-group received 10% solution of BV 0. 5 mL plus 0. 2 mL lidocaine intraarticularly twice in a week in the OA-induced stifles for one month. The joint tissue specimens,synovial fluid (SF) and blood samples were collected prior to and 12 months after induction of OA,and one month posttreatment. TrAP levels in SF and serum were measured using a spectrophotometer,and TrAP-positive cells in joint tissues were identified by enzyme histochemistry. TIMP-2 in SF and serum was detected by ELISA. Histochemistry revealed an increased number of TrAP positive cells in tissues from OA-affected joints which was decreased after one month treatment with BV and EACP. After one-month administration of EACP and BV,the levels of TrAP in SF of the index stifles as well as that in the serum were significantly decreased (Preas,the levels of TIMP-2 in SF of the index stifles as well as that in the serum were increased indicating the therapeutic effects of the EACP and BV on improvement of the conditions of *** intraarticular administration of EACP and BV were found effective for the treatment of OA in the dog.

AIM:To evaluate a new single-operator mini-endoscope, Spyglass,for its performance,feasibility and safety in the management of pancreaticobiliary disease. METHODS:In a multicenter retrospective analysis of patients undergoing intraductal endoscopy,we evaluated 128 patients(71 men,mean age 57.6 years).Indications were therapeutic(TX)in 72(56%) and diagnostic(DX)in 56(44%). rESULTS:Peroral endoscopy was performed in 121 and percutaneous in *** indications included CBD stones in 41,PD stones in six,and biliary strictures in *** indications included abnormal LFT’s in 15, abnormal imaging in 38 and cholangiocarcinoma staging in *** of the stone(s)was considered good in 31,fair in six,and poor in four. Advancement of the electrohydraulic lithotripsy probe was not possible in three patients and proper targeting of the lesion was partial in four patients.A holmium laser was used successfully in three *** clearance was achieved in 37 patients after one procedure and in four patients after two *** of biliary strictures was modified in 20/29 and confirmed to be malignant in 10/*** the modified patients,no diagnosis was available in *** demonstrated malignancy in 8/17 and non-malignancy in *** pathology by imaging studies and abnormal LFT’s was modified in 43/63(66%).Staging of cholangiocarcinoma demonstrated multicentric cholangiocarcinoma in 2/*** was no morbidity associated with the use of Spyglass. CONCLUSION:Spyglass Spyscopeis a first generation, single operator miniature endoscope that can evaluate and treat various biliary and pancreatic tract diseases.

This Article presents a three dimensional numerical model investigating thermal performance and hydrodynamics features of the confined slot jet impingement using slurry of Nano Encapsulated Phase Change Material(NEPCM)as a *** slurry is composed of water as a base fluid and n-octadecane NEPCM particles with mean diameter of 100 nm suspended in it.A single phase fluid approach is employed to model the NEPCM *** thermo physical properties of the NEPCM slurry are computed using modern approaches being proposed recently and governing equations are solved with a commercial Finite Volume based *** effects of jet reynolds number varying from 100 to 600 and particle volume fraction ranging from 0% to 28% are *** computed results are validated by comparing Nusselt number values at stagnation point with the previously published results with water as working *** was found that adding NEPCM to the base fluid results with considerable amount of heat transfer *** highest values of heat transfer coefficients are observed at H/W=4 and C_m=***,due to the higher viscosity of slurry compared with the base fluid,the slurry can produce drastic increase in pressure drop of the system that increases with NEPCM particle loading and jet reynolds number.

The characterization of microstructure evolution in friction stir welded aluminum alloy was carried out by optical microscopy （OM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and electron backscatter diffraction （EBSD）. The weld nugget consisted of very fine equiaxed grains and experienced dissolution of nearly half of metastable precipitates into the matrix during welding. Thermomechanically affected zone （TMAZ） also experienced dissolution of precipitates but to a lesser extent whereas coarsening of precipitates was observed in heat affected zone （HAZ）. Grain boundary misorientation measurements using EBSD indicated continuous dynamic recrystallization as the underlying mechanism for the fine equiaxed nugget grains. The yield and tensile strength of the weld decreased with comparison to base material. But due to the decrease of grain size and the dissolution of second phase precipitates, an increased Charpy energy value was observed in the weld n u gget.

For the purpose of improving the strength of this dissimilarjoint, the present study was carried out to investigate the improvement in intermetallic layer by using a third material foil between the laying edges of the friction stir welded and hybrid welded AI6061-T6/AZ31 alloy plates. The difference in microstructural and mechanical characteristics of friction stir welded and hybrid welded AI6061-TO/AZ31 joint was compared. Hybrid butt- welding of aluminum alloy plate to a magnesium alloy plate was successfully achieved with Ni foil as filler material, while defect-free laser-friction stir welding （FSW） hybrid welding was achieved by using a laser power of 2 kW. Transverse tensile strength of the joint reached about 66% of the Mg base metal tensile strength in the case of hybrid welding with Ni foil and showed higher value than that of the friction stir welded joint with and without the third material foil. This may be due to the presence of less brittle Ni-based intermetallic phases instead of Al12Mg17.
