This study was performed to investigate the changes in microbial communities and metabolites during the long-term fermentation of commercially manufactured anchovy sauce. Samples of commercial anchovy sauce were collected from large-scale fermentation tanks with fermentation periods of up to 7.87 years. The complex bacterial community was simplified to two genera， Tetragenococcus and Halanaerobium， after approximately 0.55 years of fermentation. Although genera， such as Saccharomyces， Cladosporium， Candida， and Aspergillus， were relatively dominant， no clear pattern was identified in fungal community analysis. The longitudinal metabolite profile demonstrated that approximately half (55.8%) of the metabolites present in anchovy sauce were produced within a year of fermentation due to rapid fermentation. Despite the static microbial community， the contents of several metabolites including amino acids and biogenic amines changed continuously during the long-term fermentation of anchovy sauce. This study provides novel insights into the changes in microbiota and metabolites in fish sauce produced without any starter inoculation.

The Dialafara area is part of the highly endowed Kédougou-Kéniéba Inlier (KKI), West-Malian gold belt, which corresponds to a Paleoproterozoic window through the West African Craton (WAC). This study presents, first of all, an integration of geophysical data interpretation with litho-structural field reconnaissance and then proposes a new litho-structural map of the Dialafara area. The Dialafara area shows a variety of lithology characterized by volcanic and volcano-sedimentary units, metasediments and plutonic intrusion. These lithologies were affected by a complex superposition of structures of unequal importance defining three deformation phases (DD1 to DD3) under ductile to brittle regimes. These features permit to portray a new litho-structural map, which shows that the Dialafara area presents a more complex lithological and structural context than the one presented in regional map of the KKI. This leads to the evidence that this area could be a potential site for exploration as it is situated between two world-class gold districts.

Investigating the impact of the universal function of the nuclear proximity potential in heavy-ion fusion cross sections

The fusion barriers and cross sections of 15 colliding systems with 320≤Z_(1)Z_(2)≤1512 are investigated in detail to understand the influence of the universal function of proximity potential formalism in the heavy-ion fusion *** realize this goal,we select three versions of the phenomenological proximity potentials,including Prox.77,Zhang 2013,and Guo 2013,to calculate the nucleus-nucleus *** experimental fusion cross sections for the selected reactions are analyzed using the standard coupled-channel calculations,including couplings to the low-lying 2^(+)and 3^(-)states in the target and *** calculated results show that the universal functions of the Guo 2013 and Prox.77 models provide the lowest and highest fusion barriers,*** addition,it is found that the height of the fusion barriers is enhanced by increasing the mass number of the projectile from light to heavy *** highest sensitivity to the mass number of the projectile belongs to the results of Prox.77.A discussion is also presented on the influence of the universal function on the radial behavior of the interaction potential in the allowed region for overlapping *** results reveal that the best fit to the experimental data of the fusion cross sections for the reactions involving light and medium nuclei is obtained using the universal function of the Zhang 2013 *** the heavier systems,the results of the Guo 2013 model at sub-barrier energies provide a good description of the available data.

Dear editor,Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus2(SArS-CoV-2)infection can lead to severe outcomes in patients with cancer[1].It has been reported that patients with lung cancers disproportionately manifest severe COVID-19 with a high rate of hospitalization and death[2].Notably,the SArS-CoV-2 Spike(S)protein can induce hyper-inflammation in both epithelial cells and macrophages through toll-like receptor(TLr)1/TLr2 or TLr2/6-dependent nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)path-way[3].However,molecular and cellular evidence on whether the SArS-CoV-2 virus affects the severity of lung cancer patients through TLr1/2 or TLr2/6 signaling remains unclear.

Callose,aβ-1,3-glucan plant cell wall polymer,regulates symplasmic channel size at plasmodesmata(PD)and plays a crucial role in a variety of plant ***,elucidating the molecular mechanism of PD callose homeostasis is *** screened and identified an Arabidopsis mutant plant with excessive callose deposition at PD and found that the mutated gene wasα1-COP,a member of the coat protein I(COPI)coatomer *** report that loss of function ofα1-COP elevates the callose accumulation at PD by affecting subcellular protein localization of callose degradation enzyme Pd *** process is linked to the functions of ErH1,an inositol phosphoryl ceramide synthase,and glucosylceramide synthase through physical interactions with theα1-COP ***,the loss of function ofα1-COP alters the subcellular localization of ErH1 and GCS proteins,resulting in a reduction of Glc Cers and Glc HCers molecules,which are key sphingolipid(SL)species for lipid raft *** findings suggest thatα1-COP protein,together with SL modifiers controlling lipid raft compositions,regulates the subcellular localization of GPI-anchored PDBG2 proteins,and hence the callose turnover at PD and symplasmic movement of *** findings provide the first key clue to link the COPI-mediated intracellular trafficking pathway to the callose-mediated intercellular signaling pathway through PD.

Achieving densely packed particles is desirable within the industries of ceramics,pharmaceuticals,defence and additive *** this work,we use the discrete element method(DEM)to determine the effect of wall parameters on the final packing density of mono-disperse spheres subject to 4 varying three-dimensional vibration and fill *** focus specifically on the impact of the container wall parameters on the particles'final packing *** on from the validation of the DEM simulation the particle-wall coefficient of restitution,the particle-wall coefficient of rolling friction and the particle-wall coefficient of sliding friction were varied individually and the effect on the final packing density *** relatively low particle-particle friction glass beads,the effect of these wall properties had no discernible effect on the final packing density *** on from these findings the particle-wall properties were varied at the extreme values of particle-particle coefficient of rolling friction and particle-particle coefficient of sliding *** a particle-particle coefficient of sliding friction=1,increases in particle-wall coefficient of restitution resulted in a minor increase in the final packing density of particles though this was not statistically *** a particle-particle coefficient of sliding friction=1,increases in particle-wall coefficient of rolling friction resulted in a minor decrease in the final packing density of the particles though again not to a degree where the trend can,with complete certainty,be distinguished from the random error across the ***,when the particle-particle coefficient of sliding friction=1,increases in particle-wall coefficient of sliding friction resulted in a significant decrease in the final packing density of *** decrease was attributed to the propagation of force chains throughout the *** significant decrease in final packing density with
