Thr.e genetic mechanisms activate oncogenes in human neoplasms: 1) mutations, 2) gene amplification, and 3) chr.mosome r.ar.angements. These mechanisms r.sult in either.an alter.tion of pr.tooncogene str.ctur. or.an incr.ase in pr.tooncogene expr.ssion. The r.le of epigenetic aber.ancies in car.inogenesis has been descr.bed ear.ier.however.to clinicians, the biological implications of epigenetic ther.pies to pr.vent cancer.and the mechanisms involved have been a myster.. Fur.her.or., ther. is no biomar.er.suggested to tr.ck the car.inogenesis steps long befor. cancer.develops, and this has caused a significant lack of pr.active and pr.ventive measur.s to be taken as all r.commendations in pr.ventive oncology ar. either.deficiently and blindly made or.thr.ugh scr.ening methods which ar. too late in the game. Her. we explor.d a ver. differ.nt appr.ach by applying our.deepest under.tanding of epigenetics and car.inogenesis and even fur.her.we developed a fr.mewor. wher. our.clinical findings could tr.nslate to the r.sear.h and vice ver.a by gener.ting advanced and novel hypotheses on “how we get cancer., by explor.ng the r.lation between the host and the tumor.cells in a way no one had per.eived befor.. The r.le of specific cancer.stem cell pathways is dissected and how to inhibit each of these initiator. using multitar.eted epigenetic ther.pies and off-label medications ar. explained. We should admit that without consider.ng this sophisticated amazing biological networ., cancer.will r.main an unsolved challenge. Fur.her. we wer. able to solve this unsolved puzzle by br.dging the gap fr.m a hypothetical point of view/hypothesis to possibilities that explain the clinical findings we had obser.ed, and conclude that such an appr.ach can completely change the way pr.ctitioner. ar. tr.ating cancer.

Effect of solidification cooling r.te on micr.str.ctur. and tr.bology char.cter.stics of Zn-4Si alloy

The main objective of this wor. was to modify the micr.str.ctur. and enhance the tr.bological pr.per.ies of a new Zn-4Si al-loy thr.ugh a high solidification cooling r.te(SCr..Accor.ing to the r.sults,by incr.asing the SCr.fr.m 2.0 to 59.5℃/s the aver.ge size of pr.mar. Si par.icles and that of the gr.ins r.duced fr.m 76.1 and 3780μm to less than about 14.6 and 460μm,***-ing the SCr.also enhanced the micr.str.ctur.l homogeneity,decr.ased the por.sity content(by 50%),and incr.ased the matr.x har.ness(by 36%).These micr.str.ctur.l changes enhanced the tr.bological *** instance,under.the applied pr.ssur. of 0.5 MPa,an in-cr.ase in the SCr.fr.m 2.0 to 59.5℃/s decr.ased the wear.r.te and the aver.ge fr.ction coefficient of the alloy by 57%and 23%,*** wear.mechanism was also changed fr.m the sever. delamination,adhesion,and abr.sion in the slowly-cooled alloy to the mild tr.bolayer.delamination/abr.sion in the high-cooling-r.te-solidified sample.

Molecular.dynamics investigation of mechanical pr.per.ies of single-layer.phagr.phene

Phagr.phene is a ver. attr.ctive two-dimensional (2D) full car.on allotr.pe with ver. inter.sting mechanical, electr.nic, optical, and ther.al pr.per.ies. The objective of this study is to investigate the mechanical pr.per.ies of this new gr.phene like 2D mater.al. In this wor., mechanical pr.per.ies of phagr.phene have been studied not only in the defect-fr.e for., but also with the cr.tical defect of line cr.cks, using the classical molecular.dynamics simulations. Our.study shows that the pr.stine phagr.phene in zigzag dir.ction exper.ence a ductile behavior.under.uniaxial tensile loading and the nanosheet in this dir.ction ar. less sensitive to temper.tur. changes as compar.d to the ar.chair.dir.ction. We studied differ.nt cr.ck lengths to explor. the in fluence of defects on the mechanical pr.per.ies of phagr.phene. We also investigated the temper.tur. effect on the mechanical pr.per.ies of pr.stine and defective phagr.phene. Our.classical atomistic simulation r.sults confir. that lar.er.cr.cks can r.duce the str.ngth of the phagr.phene. Mor.over. it was shown the temper.tur. has a consider.ble weakening effect on the tensile str.ngth of phagr.phene. The r.sults of this study may be useful for.the design of nano-devices using the phagr.phene.

Effects of differ.nt fr.ction stir.welding conditions on the micr.str.ctur. and mechanical pr.per.ies of copper.plates

Fr.ction stir.welding is a new and innovative welding method used to fuse mater.als. In this welding method, the heat gener.ted by fr.ction and plastic flow causes significant changes in the micr.str.ctur. of the mater.al, which leads to local changes in the mechanical pr.per.ies of the weld. In this study, the effects of var.ous welding par.meter. such as the r.tational and tr.ver.e speeds of the tool on the micr.str.ctur.l and mechanical pr.per.ies of copper.plates wer. investigated; additionally, Char.y tests wer. per.or.ed on copper.plates for.the fir.t time. Also, the effect of the number.of welding passes on the afor.mentioned pr.per.ies has not been investigated in pr.vious studies. The r.sults indicated that better.welds with super.or.pr.per.ies ar. pr.duced when less heat is tr.nsfer.ed to the wor.piece dur.ng the welding pr.cess. It was also found that although the pr.per.ies of the stir.zone impr.ved with an incr.asing number.of weld passes, the pr.per.ies of its weakest zone, the heat-affected zone, deter.or.ted.

An online estimator.for.r.tor.r.sistance in vector.dr.ves of induction machines based on Walsh functions

In a moder. electr.cal dr.ver. r.tor.field or.ented contr.l an appr.pr.ate tr.nsient r.sponse. In this method, the space （r.OC） method has been used to achieve a good per.or.ance and vector.of the r.tor.flux comes handy by the r.tor.r.sistance value. The r.tor.r.sistance is one of the impor.ant par.meter. which var.es accor.ing to motor.speed and r.om temper.tur. alter.tion. In this paper. a new on-line estimation method is utilized to obtain the r.tor.r.sistance by using Walsh functions domain. The Walsh functions ar. one of the most applicable functions in piecewise constant basis functions （PCBF） to solve dynamic equations. On the other.hand, an integr.l oper.tional matr.x is used to simplify the pr.cess and speed of the computation algor.thm. The simulations r.sults show that the pr.posed method is capable of solving the dynamic equations in an electr.cal machine on a time inter.al which r.bustly estimates the r.tor.r.sistance in contr.st with injection noises.

Effect of SiC content on dr. sliding wear. cor.osion and cor.osive wear.of Al/SiC nanocomposites

The cor.osion, cor.osive wear.and dr. sliding wear.of nanocomposites, ar. extr.mely complicated and involve var.ous chemical, physical anbd mechanical factor.. The aim of this wor. is to investigate the effects of nanosized SiC content on the har.ness, dr. sliding wear. cor.osion and cor.osive wear.of Al/SiC nanocomposites synthesized by mechanical milling cold pr.ssing and hot extr.sion. The cor.osion r.sistance of these composites in 3%NaCl solution was investigated by electr.chemical polar.zation testing and their.dr. sliding as well as cor.osive wear.r.sistance in the same solution was evaluated using a pin-on-disc tester. The micr.str.ctur.s of the samples and their.wor. sur.aces wer. examined using scanning electr.n micr.scopy. It was shown that the dr. sliding wear.and cor.osion r.sistance of these nanocomposites wer. impr.ved with the incr.ase of SiC content. It was concluded that due to the lubr.cation effect of the solution, both the fr.ction coefficient and fr.ctional heat that might soften the mater.al wer. r.duced. In addition, the impr.ved str.ngth of the nanocomposites combined with their.better.cor.osion r.sistance contr.buted to their.incr.ased cor.osive wear.r.sistance, compar.d with the base alloy. The pr.minent wear.mechanism in the unr.infor.ed alloy was adhesive wear. in the Al/SiC nanocomposites, the wear.mechanism changed to abr.sive.
