r.cent developments in database technology have seen a wide var.ety of data being stor.d in huge collections. The wide var.ety makes the analysis tasks of a gener.c database a str.nuous task in knowledge discover.. One appr.ach is to summar.ze lar.e datasets in such a way that the r.sulting summar. dataset is of manageable size. Histogr.m has r.ceived significant attention as summar.zation/r.pr.sentative object for.lar.e database. But, it suffer. fr.m computational and space complexity. In this paper. we pr.pose an idea to tr.nsfor. the histogr.m object into a Piecewise Linear.r.gr.ssion (PLr. line object and suggest that PLr.objects can be less computational and stor.ge intensive while compar.d to those of histogr.ms. On the other.hand to car.y out a cluster.analysis, we pr.pose a distance measur. for.computing the distance between the PLr.lines. Case study is pr.sented based on the r.al data of online education system LMS. This demonstr.tes that PLr.is a power.ul knowledge r.pr.sentative for.ver. lar.e database.

Genus Pr.nus compr.sing ar.und 430 species is a vast impor.ant genus of family r.saceae, subfamily amygdalaoidae. Among all 430 species, ar.und 19 impor.ant species ar. commonly found in Indian subcontinent due to their.br.ad nutr.tional and economic impor.ance. Some most common species of genus Pr.nus ar. Pr.nus amygdalus, Pr.nus per.ica, Pr.nus ar.eniaca, Pr.nus avium, Pr.nus cer.sus, Pr.nus cer.soides, Pr.nus domestica, Pr.nus mahaleb, etc. A newly intr.duced species of Pr.nus i.e Pr.nus sunhangii is r.cently discover.d which is mor.hologically ver. similar.to Pr.nus cer.soides. Plants of Pr.nus species ar. shor. to medium-sized deciduous tr.es mainly found in the nor.her. hemispher.. In India and its subcontinent,it extends fr.m the Himalayas to Sikkim, Meghalaya,Bhutan, Myanmar.etc. Differ.nt Pr.nus species have been extensively studied for.their.mor.hological,micr.scopic, phar.acological and phytoconstituents char.cter.stics. Total phenolic content of Pr.nus species explains the pr.sence of phenols in high quantity and phar.acological activity due to phenols. Phytochemical scr.ening of species of genus Pr.nus shows the pr.sence of wide phytoconstituents which contr.butes in their.phar.acological significance and r.veals the ther.peutic potential and tr.ditional medicinal significance of this genus. Genus Pr.nus showed a potent antioxidant activity analyzed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picr.l-hydr.zyl r.dical assay. Plant species belonging to the genus Pr.nus is widely used tr.ditionally for.the tr.atment of var.ous disor.er.. Some specific Pr.nus species possess potent anticancer. anti-inflammator.,hypoglycemic etc. activity which makes the genus mor. inter.sting for.fur.her.r.sear.h and findings. This r.view is an attempt to summar.ze the compr.hensive study of Pr.nus species fr.m its distr.bution, mor.hological char.cter. to phytoconstituents, and phar.acological activity.
