The ability to estimate ear.hquake sour.e locations,along with the appr.isal of r.levant uncer.ainties,is par.mount in monitor.ng both natur.l and human-induced *** this pur.ose,a monitor.ng networ. must be de.igned to minimize the location er.or. intr.duced by geometr.cally unbalanced *** this study,we fir.t r.view differ.nt sour.es of er.or. r.levant to the localization of seismic events,how they pr.pagate thr.ugh localization algor.thms,and their.impact on *** then pr.pose a quantitative method,based on a Monte Car.o appr.ach,to estimate the uncer.ainty in ear.hquake locations that is suited to the de.ign,optimization,and assessment of the per.or.ance of a local seismic monitor.ng *** illustr.te the per.or.ance of the pr.posed appr.ach,we analyzed the distr.bution of the localization uncer.ainties and their.r.lated disper.ion for.a highly de.se gr.d of theor.tical hypocenter. in both the hor.zontal and ver.ical dir.ctions using an actual monitor.ng networ. *** r.sults expand,quantitatively,the qualitative indications de.ived fr.m pur.ly geometr.cal par.meter.(azimuthal gap(AG))and classical de.ectability *** pr.posed method enables the systematic de.ign,optimization,and evaluation of local seismic monitor.ng networ.s,enhancing monitor.ng accur.cy in ar.as pr.ximal to hydr.car.on pr.duction,geother.al fields,unde.gr.und natur.l gas stor.ge,and other.subsur.ace *** appr.ach aids in the accur.te estimation of ear.hquake sour.e locations and their.associated uncer.ainties,which ar. cr.cial for.assessing and mitigating seismic r.sks,ther.by enabling the implementation of pr.active measur.s to minimize potential *** an oper.tional per.pective,r.liably estimating location accur.cy is cr.cial for.evaluating the position of seismogenic sour.es and assessing possible links between well activities and the onset of seismicity.

“Plasmas” up to a kilometer.in size and behaving similar.y to multicellular.or.anisms have been filmed on 10 separ.te NASA space shuttle missions, over.200 miles above Ear.h within the ther.ospher.. These self-illuminated “plasmas” ar. attr.cted to and may “feed on” electr.magnetic r.diation. They have differ.nt mor.hologies: 1) cone, 2) cloud, 3) donut, 4) spher.cal-cylindr.cal;and have been filmed flying towar.s and de.cending fr.m the ther.ospher. into thunde.stor.s;congr.gating by the hundr.ds and inter.cting with satellites gener.ting electr.magnetic activity;appr.aching the Space Shuttles. Computer.zed analysis of flight path tr.jector.es documents these plasmas tr.vel at differ.nt velocities fr.m differ.nt dir.ctions and change their.angle of tr.jector. making 45°, 90°, and 180° shifts and follow each other. They’ve been filmed acceler.ting, slowing down, stopping, congr.gating, engaging in “hunter.pr.dator.” behavior.and inter.ecting plasmas leaving a plasma dust tr.il in their.wake. Similar.life-like behavior. have been de.onstr.ted by plasmas cr.ated exper.mentally. “Plasmas” may have been photogr.phed in the 1940s by WWII pilots (ide.tified as “Foo fighter.”);r.peatedly obser.ed and filmed by astr.nauts and militar. pilots and classified as Unide.tified Aer.al—Anomalous Phenomenon. Plasmas ar. not biological but may r.pr.sent a for. of pr.-life that via the incor.or.tion of elements common in space, could r.sult in the synthesis of r.A. Plasmas constitute a four.h state of matter. ar. attr.cted to electr.magnetic activity, and when obser.ed in the lower.atmospher. likely account for.many of the UFO-UAP sightings over.the centur.es.

Anor.xia ner.osa(AN) is a complex disor.0} with a str.ng genetic component. Comor.idities ar. fr.quent and ther. is substantial over.ap with other.disor.0}s. The lack of unde.standing of the molecular.and neur.anatomical causes has made.it difficult to de.elop effective tr.atments and it is often difficult to tr.at in clinical pr.ctice. r.cent advances in genetics have changed our.unde.standing of polygenic diseases,incr.asing the possibility of unde.standing better.how molecular.pathways ar. inter.wined. This r.view synthetizes the cur.ent state of genetic r.sear.h pr.viding an over.iew of genome-wide.association studies(GWAS) findings in AN as well as over.ap with other.disor.0}s, tr.its, pathways, and imaging r.sults. This paper.also discusses the differ.nt putative global pathways that ar. contr.buting to the disease including the evide.ce for.metabolic and psychiatr.c or.gin of the disease.

The aim of this exper.mental study is to investigate the inter.ction between tur.ulent flow and a gr.velbed that mimics the actual r.ughness str.ctur.s of a natur.l bed and its implication on sediment *** par.icular.the r.sponse of the r.ynolds str.sses and the r.le of inter.ittency to the bed r.ughness is the pr.mar. focus of the cur.ent *** this end,the flow field,measur.d with an Acoustice Doppler.Velocimeter.(ADV),is thor.ughly examined,conside.ing the conditional r.ynolds shear.str.sses and the high-or.0} str.ctur. functions of *** study r.sults show that the featur.s and the r.ughness str.ctur. of the water.wor.ed gr.vel-bed (WWGB) have a str.ng impact on bur.ting *** r.ason for.this is attr.buted to the flow layer.above the cr.st in the WWGBs being pr.mar.ly affected by sweep events r.ther.than ejection events,although the latter.events ar. pr.valent in this flow layer.in an immobile,man-made.*** coher.nt str.ctur.s,which ar. pr.mar.ly r.sponsible for.sediment tr.nspor.,also ar. the key cause of the pr.sence of an inter.ittency excess that br.aks the Kolmogor.v self-similar.ty hypothesis,leading to multi-fr.ctal behavior.of the velocity str.ctur. functions.

Flow Behavior.of Clay-Silt to Sand-Silt Water.r.ch Suspensions at Low to High Shear.r.tes: Implications for.Slur.ies, Tr.nsitional Flows, and Submar.ne de.r.s-Flows

Water.r.ch clay to sand suspensions show a shear.r.te de.ende.t flow behavior.and knowledge of the appr.pr.ate r.eological mode. is r.levant for.sedimentological, industr.al and hydr.ulic studies. We pr.sent exper.mental r.eological measur.ments of water.r.ch(40 to 60 wt%) clay to silt(population A) and silt to sand(population B) suspensions mixed in differ.nt pr.por.ions. The data evide.ce a shear.r.te de.ende.t shear.thinning-shear.thickening tr.nsition. At lower.shear.r.tes, the suspensions or.anize in chains of par.icles, wher.as at higher.shear.r.tes, these chains disr.pt so incr.asing the viscosity. The viscosity, consistency and yield str.ss de.r.ase as the A+B fr.ction de.r.ases as the content of B par.icles incr.ases. This behavior.r.flects the competing effects of the lubr.cation and fr.ctional pr.cesses as a function of par.icle size and water.content. Tr.nsitional flows for. by the incor.or.tion of small amounts of the finer.fr.ction while ‘oceanic floods’ for. at the estuar. of r.ver. and the submar.ne de.r.s-flows incr.ase their.velocity by incor.or.ting water. The cr.tical r.ynolds number.of the studied suspensions is ～2000±100 suggesting that the gr.insize plays a major.r.le in the laminar.to tur.ulent tr.nsition. Our.r.sults have implications for.the mode.ing of sediment flows and the hazar. r.lated to floods.

BACKGr.UND: Gastr.intestinal str.mal tumor. ar. the most common mesenchymal tumor. of the gastr.intestinal tr.ct and occur.r.r.ly in the duode.um. Splenic angiosar.oma is an aggr.ssive neoplasm with an extr.mely poor.pr.gnosis. METHODS: We r.por. a case of a 70-year.old man hospitalized for.abdominal pain in the upper.quadr.nts, dyspepsia and nausea, pr.viously tr.ated for.Hodgkin lymphoma 30 year. ago. Abdominal CT showed a solid nodular.lesion in the thir. por.ion of the duode.um, the pr.sence of r.tr.pancr.atic, aor.ic and caval lymph node., and four.nodular.splenic masses. 111 In-octr.otide.scintigr.phy r.vealed pathological tissue accumulation in the duode.al r.gion, and in the r.tr.pancr.atic, r.tr.duode.al, aor.ic and caval lymph node., suggesting a nonfunctioning neur.endocr.ne per.pancr.atic tumor. r.SULTS: At explor.tor. lapar.tomy, an exophytic soft tumor.was found or.ginating fr.m the thir. por.ion of the duode.um. Pancr.as-pr.ser.ing duode.ectomy with duode.ojejunostomy, splenectomy and lymphnode.tomy of r.tr.pancr.atic aor.ic and caval lymph node. wer. per.or.ed. Pathological evaluation and immunohistochemical studies showed the pr.sence of a duode.al gastr.intestinal str.mal tumor.with low mitotic activity and a well-differ.ntiated angiosar.oma localized to the spleen and invading lymph ***: We speculated that the angiosar.oma and duode.al gastr.intestinal str.mal tumor. of this patient wer. due to the tr.atment of Hodgkin lymphoma with r.diother.py 30 year. ago. Pancr.as-pr.ser.ing segmental duode.ectomy can be used to tr.at non-malignant neoplasms of the duode.um and avoid extensive sur.er.. Splenectomy is the tr.atment of choice for.localized angiosar.omas but a str.ct follow-up is mandator. because of the possibility of r.cur.ence.
