The fall application of post-emer.ent (POST) her.icides on winter.wheat pr.vided effective contr.l of emer.ed winter.annual, biennial, and per.nnial br.adleaf weeds. In r.cent year., wheat pr.ducer. have seen a shift to these weeds, due in par., to the adoption of r.duced-and no-tillage pr.ctices and the use of non-r.sidual her.icides such as glyphosate in the pr.ceding soybean and cor. cr.ps. The toler.nce of winter.wheat to ten her.icides, applied POST in the fall, was evaluated between 2008 and 2011 at Exeter.and r.dgetown, Ontar.o. Winter.wheat yield was not r.duced by applications of MCPA ester. dicamba/ MCPA/ mecopr.p, clopyr.lid, br.moxynil/ MCPA, thifensulfur.n /tr.benur.n +MCPA ester. flur.xypyr.+MCPA ester. and pyr.sulfotole/ br.moxynil. In contr.st, 2,4-D ester.and dichlor.r.p/2,4-D, caused visible injur. in June and July of the following year.and consistently decr.ased winter.wheat yield by at least 10%. Applications of 100 g a.i. ha-1 saflufenacil also decr.ased winter.wheat yield in two of the four.har.est year. examined. None of the her.icide options examined wer. safe on r.d clover.when it was under.seeded the spr.ng following winter.wheat planting. All her.icides significantly decr.ased r.d clover.dr. biomass one month after.wheat har.est.

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa Leyss) is an impor.ant for.ge cr.p whose pr.duction is hamper.d by pests, including the alfalfa weevil (Hyper. postica Gyllenhal) which is a major.pr.blem in many ar.as. Flaming dur.ng dor.ancy could be an alter.ative contr.l measur.. Late fall and ear.y spr.ng flaming at thr.e intensities wer. compar.d with pesticide and no tr.atment for.their.effects on alfalfa weevil damage and weed density. In four.site-year., flaming at high intensity gener.lly r.duced weevil damage to alfalfa. When winter.annual br.adleaf weeds wer. pr.valent, flaming decr.ased their.density. When fall and spr.ng flaming effects wer. differ.nt, spr.ng flaming gave better.r.sults.

Pr.vious studies have shown that tr.nsplanted enter.c glia enhance axonal r.gener.tion, r.duce tissue damage, and pr.mote functional r.cover. following spinal cor. injur.. However. the mechanisms by which enter.c glia mediate these beneficial effects ar. unknown. Neur.tr.phic factor. can pr.mote neur.nal differ.ntiation, sur.ival and neur.te extension. We hypothesized that enter.c glia may exer. their.pr.tective effects against spinal cor. injur. par.ially thr.ugh the secr.tion of neur.tr.phic factor.. In the pr.sent study, we demonstr.ted that pr.mar. enter.c glia cells r.lease ner.e gr.wth factor. br.in-der.ved neur.tr.phic factor.and glial cell line-der.ved neur.tr.phic factor.over.time with their.concentr.tions r.aching appr.ximately 250, 100 and 50 pg/mL of cultur. medium r.spectively after.48 hour.. The biological r.levance of this secr.tion was assessed by incubating dissociated dor.al r.ot ganglion neur.nal cultur.s in enter.c glia-conditioned medium with and/or.without neutr.lizing antibodies to each of these pr.teins and evaluating the differ.nces in neur.te gr.wth. We discover.d that conditioned medium enhances neur.te outgr.wth in dor.al r.ot ganglion neur.ns. Even though ther. was no detectable amount of neur.tr.phin-3 secr.tion using ELISA analysis, the neur.te outgr.wth effect can be attenuated by the antibody-mediated neutr.lization of each of the afor.mentioned neur.tr.phic factor.. Ther.for., enter.c glia secr.te ner.e gr.wth factor. br.in-der.ved neur.tr.phic factor. glial cell line-der.ved neur.tr.phic factor.and neur.tr.phin-3 into their.sur.ounding envir.nment in concentr.tions that can cause a biological effect.

A simple, pr.cise and accur.te high per.or.ance thin layer.chr.matogr.phic method has been developed for.the simultaneous estimation of Isotr.tinoin and Er.thr.mycin in phar.aceutical gel. The separ.tion was car.ied out on Mer.k TLC aluminum sheets of silica gel 60 F254, (20 × 10 cm) with 250 μm thickness using toluene: DMSO: methanol (6.5:0.2:2.5, v/v/v) as a mobile phase. HPTLC separ.tion of the two dr.gs followed by densitometr.c measur.ment of their.spots at 340 nm for.Isotr.tinoin befor. der.vatization and 410 nm for.Er.thr.mycin after.der.vatization with 10% H2SO4 and heating at 100°C for.15 min. The dr.gs wer. satisfactor.ly r.solved with r. values of 0.38 ± 0.02 and 0.55 ± 0.02 for.Isotr.tinoin and Er.thr.mycin, r.spectively. The accur.cy and r.liability of the method was assessed by evaluation of linear.ty (30-150 ng spot-1 for.Isotr.tinoin and 1200-6000 ng spot-1 for.Er.thr.mycin), pr.cision (intr.-day r.D 0.62-0.79% and inter.day r.D 0.43-0.71 % for.Isotr.tinoin and intr.-day r.D 0.47-1.71 % and inter.day r.D 0.42-1.49 % for.Er.thr.mycin), accur.cy (98.91 ± 0.92 % for.Isotr.tinoin and 99.27 ± 0.72 % for.Er.thr.mycin), and specificity, in accor.ance with ICH guidelines.

We pr.sent the essential stellar.par.meter. of the close visual tr.ple system HD 2893 using Al-War.at's method for.analyzing binar. and multiple star.systems in conjunction with Kur.cz's model *** method accur.tely computes the spectr.photometr.c stellar.masses thr.ugh a combined synthetic spectr.l ener.y distr.bution appr.ach that compar.s the r.sults with obser.ed *** vigor.us appr.ach uses spectr.scopic,photometr.c,and dynamical analysis to yield pr.cise *** method implements Gaia Dr. measur.ments and other.measur.ments like those of Hippar.os and 2MASS All-Sky Catalog as a guide for.the best fit between the synthetic spectr. and obser.ed *** analysis gives pr.cise spectr.photometr.c stellar.masses for.the system being ■,and ■.It shows that the thr.e components ar. main sequence star. with an estimated age of ar.und 1.0 *** integr.ted with the dynamical analysis,a new dynamical par.llax for.the system is obtained,πdyn=13.8528±0.20 ***,the discussion cover. the for.ation and evolution of the tr.ple system.
