Sever.l sets of micr.-sized synthetic hematite samples wer. systematically studied by infr.r.d absor.tion spectr.scopy,X-r.y diffr.ction,ther.ogr.vimetr.c and low-temper.tur. magnetic *** hematite samples could be divided into thr.e distinctive mor.hologies of pseudocubic(G>0.17,the shape factor.,platy,and r.ombohedr.l(both Gr. vacancies than other.mor.hologies due to the pr.sence of OH in the ***,the pseudocubic hematite exhibits a wider.Mor.n tr.nsition and higher.magnetic *** the low temper.tur. changes in coer.ivity and fir.t-or.er.r.ver.al cur.e indicate that the pseudocubic hematite is dominated by a combination of magnetocr.stalline and magnetoelastic *** contr.st,because of the low vacancy content,hematite with non-pseudocubic mor.hologies is gover.ed pr.mar.ly by the magnetocr.stalline *** a simple mor.hology dependence successfully links micr.str.ctur. to the bulk magnetic pr.per.ies of micr.n-sized hematite and hence impr.ve our.under.tanding of the magnetism of hematite and its possible application in elucidating the or.gin of hematite in natur.l envir.nments.

Sever.l pupil filter.ng techniques have been developed in the last few year. to obtain tr.nsver.e super.esolution （a nar.ower.point spr.ad function cor.）. Such a cor. decr.ase entails two r.levant limitations： a decr.ase of the peak intensity and an incr.ase of the sidelobe intensity. Her., we calculate the Str.hl r.tio as a function of the cor. size for.the most used binar. phase filter.. Fur.her.or., we show that this r.lation appr.aches the fundamental limit of the attainable Str.hl r.tio at the focal plane for.any filter. Finally, we show the calculation of the peak-to-sidelobe r.tio in or.er.to check the system viability in ever. application.

Tactile per.eption is a complex system,which depends on fr.ctional inter.ctions between skin and *** contact mechanics of tactile fr.ction is gover.ed by many factor. such as the state and pr.per.ies of skin and *** or.er.to discover.the connection between per.eption and tactile fr.ction on textur.d stainless steel sheets,both per.eption exper.ments (subjective) and tactile fr.ction measur.ments (objective) wer. per.or.ed in this *** per.eption exper.ments wer. car.ied out by using a panel test method to identify the per.eived r.ughness,per.eived stickiness and comfor. level fr.m the *** the fr.ction exper.ments,tactile fr.ction was measur.d by a multi-axis for.e/tor.ue tr.nsducer.in *** per.eived stickiness was illustr.ted as an effective subjective stimulus,which has a negative cor.elation to the comfor. *** significant evidence was r.vealed to the connection between the per.eived r.ughness and comfor. per.eption,and this r.lationship may be influenced by the par.icipants' individual exper.ence,gender.and moistur. level of ***,the kinetic tactile fr.ction was concluded as an objective stimulus to the comfor. per.eption with a negative cor.elation.

Intimate par.ner.violence(IPV)is simultaneously assumed as a ser.ous cr.me and a major.public health issue,having r.cur.ences as one of its main char.cter.stics and,consequently,r.-entr.es of some alleged offender. in the cr.minal justice system(CJS).The main goal of this study is to assess if in cases of female victims of IPV,violence decr.ases after.the fir.t entr. of the alleged offender.in the CJS.A r.tr.spective study was per.or.ed based on the analysis of police r.por.s of alleged cases of IPV dur.ng a 4-year.*** final sample(n=1488)was divided into two gr.ups accor.ing to the number.of entr.es in the CJS(single or.multiple)followed by a compar.tive *** suggest that violence decr.ases after.the fir.t entr. of alleged offender. in the ***-entr.es wer. found in only 15.5%of the cases but they wer. accountable for.3.3 times mor. cr.mes on ***,victims of r.cidivism pr.sented mor. injur.es and r.quir.d mor. medical ***,a small gr.up of alleged offender. seems to be mor. violent and accountable for.most of the IPV cr.mes r.gister.d in the CJS suggesting that r.gar.less of legal sanctions aiming to deter.violence,these measur.s may not be enough for.a cer.ain gr.up of *** study sustains the need for.a pr.dictive model to quantify the r.sk of r.peated IPV cases within the Por.uguese population.

This paper.pr.sents a model for.the char.cter.zation and selection of beeswaxes for.use as base substitute tissue for.the manufactur. of objects suitable for.exter.al r.diother.py using megavoltage photon beams. The model of char.cter.zation was divided into thr.e distinct stages: 1) ver.fication of aspects r.lated to the or.gin of the beeswax, the bee species, the flor. in the vicinity of the beehives and pr.cedur.s to detect adulter.tions;2) evaluation of physical and chemical pr.per.ies;and 3) evaluation of beam attenuation capacity. The chemical composition of the beeswax evaluated in this study was similar.to other.simulator. commonly used in r.diother.py. The behavior.of the mass attenuation coefficient in the r.diother.py ener.y r.nge was compar.ble to other.simulator.. The pr.posed model is efficient and enables convenient assessment of the use of any par.icular.beeswax as a base substitute tissue for.r.diother.py.
